《Pink Mage》67, you get this little red pill and little blue pill in the mail...

MIcky looked on as the leaders discussed the issue. They had picked up two other parties that had then joined the raid, and seemed kinda pissed not to be included in the discussion before. After all, what was there to discuss? It had already been decided before, now they were getting their argument on with a vengence, being contrary just to be contrary. Not that anybody else was any different.
The main issue was to either hunker down in the area till a teacher comes by, or go hunting for one. Or if not, either go to the source of the black beasts, likely where the teachers are, or the exit of the dungeon, this was well and above their pay grade.
Whatever it was Micky wasn’t going to get a say in the matter, they weren’t going to listen to a pink mage. So the group voted Prin to be leader, who seemed moderately reluctant since she herself was Micky’s knight.
Clearly the teachers weren’t at the boss room. So they decided to go somewhere else, probably. Or something even more nefarious was at play… and the group was even more screwed. That was the biggest worry, that their impending doom was waiting on them, and that it was all because they were in the wrong adventurer class. Micky had his doubts he was important enough for this, but somebody else technically could be.
The votes were counted and they were all going to stay, if the teachers weren’t back in three candles they would go looking for them on the way back to the entrance. So they hunkered down for the inevitable battles. Setting up fortification or relaxing as best able, and waiting.
The waves began quickly, but they were also just as easily fought off. The biggest problem is that it shouldn’t be happening. Sure they prepared for it but this was a ‘safe’ room. The boss's aura should keep this area unoccupied, even from intelligent monsters.
But the black beasts came in, slowly and hesitantly at first, but as they died, they grew more heroic and intrepid.
Now it was facing a flood. Luckily it was easy enough to set up a rotation to keep them at bay. Micky, as a pure buffer did not, but all he had to do was buff people up, and occasionally cool a hot head. The black beasts actually had to remove bodies to access the students now.

Then a sword wave hit. The front lines were a mess, people cried out. The whole group turned into a mess.
“Stop crying you babies!” Yelled a teacher over the screams of not agony and fear. The teacher didn’t really care in her short glory. She had her half sword half spear resting on her shoulder. Realising that it was a teacher some of them cried.
“Alright you lot fall in, we have places to be, people to rescue, and monsters to fight!” Said his gnomish teacher. This of course did not stop the squawking of the students, but increased it. They asked questions like “What’s going on?”, “Help!”, “Can we leave now?”, and the cherry “Will you marry me?”. That last one earned a strike from an embarrassed teacher.
“Alright you lot, fall in!” She screamed, tired and getting a headache. This easy teaching gig was starting to give her a migraine, it all started with a migraine. The students fell in like it was instinct, and it was, a survival instinct.
“Now march!” Said the teacher and they did, quickly realising they didn’t have a destination, but relieved just the same.
“We’ve set up around the [Antolion]’s den. The beasts are swarming up the place with a vengeance. This is unexpected. Normally this would be great for your training. But this is beyond you right now. So I’m going to bring you over to an area we’ve kept clear.” Said the teacher. She herself had brought three other groups. So now all thirteen groups were marching towards the unknown, for them.
“Is the dungeon mutating?” Said a student. “Is it going natural?” Said another. “Will you marry me? You didn’t answer last time!” Said that same student who was pointedly ignored by the married woman.
“To put it simply we don’t know...” said the teacher, but she didn’t sound confident, or should it be said she sounded hesitant. Not one for subterfuge this one…
So the group marched on. This time treasure chests were pointedly ignored. Mostly because if they tried a [Sword Wave] would hit them skillfully causing pain and suffering without any real injury. After all, they still needed to march didn’t they?

The black beasts were not so much a threat now that the teacher took care of the front, and the zombies were never a threat to the instructors. The teacher was a woman on a mission and went straight through the paths. “Crap, I’m lost again, I hate these labyrinth types.” She said.
Well maybe she wasn’t the most trustworthy teacher afterall.
Eventually the students and teacher arrived at where they were supposed to gather. They picked up another party on the way. She deposited them without further ado and then left again to hunt down more students without much more than a “Stay here listen to him.” as she pointed out the Orc. Now she was off to find more students.
The orc was fending off a wave of black beasts while another group of students stood back and watched. The ants were basically constantly flowing out from where they were. However this was a good choke point. And, what Micky assumed was the point, if they contained a large enough group here, they wouldn’t be able to maintain a foothold in the greater dungeon, instead the zombies would assault the place and try to remove the other monsters.
The orc finished a wave with his axe and the student parties got back to defending when he left off.
“Alright you new lot, gather up. You’re going to be on the defensive over here!” He said. Not much of a rousing speech but it was good enough to get what they needed to do. He told them to start a rotation now that more students had gathered up and about seven and a half tenths of the total students who were already gathered started their rotations.
The other teachers would come by with more students. Some had come over from the other choke point, one of three, that the other teachers were maintaining. Apparently, they were keeping the monsters contained, and the last choke point was apparently being attacked by zombies, waves and waves of zombies. It was a brutal affair that was left to the monsters themselves. And they were holding up to their name.
Micky gathered up with the rest of the supports. He maintained his buffs but at the current moment had nothing to do. He had gained severely and never really been out of combat this entire time. So Micky had finally hit and passed level 15. But right now was still not the time to receive his gains. He would have to do so when he was safely out of the dungeon.
The teachers would slowly bring students in, but none of the students were taken out. And when the students asked the teachers when they would get to leave they were evasive. What they did see was a few more adventurer parties coming along that were helping with the defense.
When finally all the living students were gathered the teachers made an announcement. “Buckle up kids because you’re not leaving the dungeon tonight!” This obviously did not leave warm fuzzy feelings in the adventurer class.
When the teachers settled down the clamor they said “We have discovered that those that kill a black beast, an [Antolion] of any type, will be scented. They will then be tracked and hunted down. And currently the outside is also full of the beasts. If you think that it’s bad to fight endless waves in er’ then you won’t last a second out der’. So we’ve called in an escort. That’s where most of the instructors are. When they arrive we will all go on a nice field trip back to the town. Until then you will all need to stay in here where it’s safe...”
This put a damper on the students of course. And Micky asked “Did somebody do this on purpose?” To which a student added “Are we being targeted?”

The Forbidden Class
Hatred. Lust. Power. There are many reasons why the Forbidden Classes are chosen. For Katai, a young village Guard, the reason was simple. Vengeance. Schedule I’ve not been able to write for quite some time now, so while I’m getting back into things the schedule will be nonexistent. Story details LitRPG - expect classes and skills and magic. Not a lot of stats/number-crunching though. There is slavery featured in this story, which a lot of people have been upset about. So here’s your fair warning. Skill levels and progression inspired by Azarinth Healer. Let me know what you think, and feel free to give me some constructive criticism. Please be nice about it though!

The Foretold: Sun Child (Complete)
As a sixteen year old commoner, your future is bleak. Worse, your appearance sets you apart from others. Your only achievement so far, is befriending the second son of the Lord of the Keep. He has been your only friend for eleven years, initially partner in mischief and later your hunting companion and confidant. Now your friendship is being torn asunder, he has turned eighteen and is being sent away to become a Judge Knight Aspirant. What is to become of you? Before your friend leaves, there is murder and conspiracy! Magic left the land hundreds of years ago, all you have is your bow and hunting skills, nevertheless you must fight to survive and save another to have any hope of a future! Note: The graphic isn't mine; it is a re-imagining of a few separate images, any objections by original artists let me know. N.B. If you are looking for Sexual Content every chapter, or every second, third or fourth chapter this isn't the story for you - the Sexual Content is required for a plot device, not a way of life and the later chapters reflect that - please stop dropping Low Ratings when you feel I haven't met your idea of "fan service". This is finished as much as a multi book vision can be finished. At 750,000 words give or take and very little readership I can only blame myself. I have learnt a lot, possibly forgotten a lot as well! I will probably return to the Chapters at some point - a touch up here and a touch up there. The second book though will probably remain in my head for a very long time, so yes "cliffs" although I hope the characters and their motivations are developed enough that you can have a good guess at the content of Book Two and tell me so I can confirm or deny! This isn't a LITRPG where classes are developed, great foes are defeated by a hero of immense power. This is a story based within (I hope) a very real and consistent culture, that leaves breadcrumbs for the reader to work out what the heck is happening and why. This is a slow burn story as the MC is stumbling around discovering her new place and role. Author's Note (Apr 2021): I dropped the Fantasy Genre for the Mystery Genre, because while the setting mentions magic, is it about past glories and trying to return to them. Whereas the MC from Chapter One doesn't understand her predicament and the range of mysteries she must solve to survive. If I have this wrong PM me and I will change this back.

Luck And Chronomancy
Time Magic is the best magic as everyone knows, although there are lots of unique Talents in the world. Most people only remember Haste because it is hard to get to higher Phases of Chronomancy. That is still enough to make the Talent iconic. A lucky enough Aleatory Talent can position you for greatness or leave you languishing in obscurity. The only true equality in the world is when that glowing message pops up at 8 years old. Even if it doesn't activate until you are an adult at 16 you still know. Sure you can find a new dungeon spawn and get another chance at a rare Talent, even this one, but you have to already be ready to delve into the *Far Wilds*, which is far easier with wealth or family power. This is the story of where my good fortune took me and the difference it made, even among a party of 7 others including an Arcanist. It is a journey of magic and monsters but also math, which some think is actually worse. Luckily I was born with Intelligence and Focus as my personal traits, and my parents were scholars. Of course Chronomancy can also be a frontline combat talent. Versitility well beyond other Elder Talents like Gravity, Abstraction, or Arcana. Might could have worked for me, too. I also met a runaway princess. All the best adventures have a princess. She hated being a noble and we didn't get married but it still counts. Besides she really filled out our front line. All that Leadership training came in handy. I still don't know where she's from. Who cares? How well Haste goes with giant hammers is what's important. I never learned much about anyone in the party, except the one I grew up with. I'm not a people person. I just wanted to optimize dungeon clearing time. *******Story Details******* No romance, politics, or traumatizing content, slice of life, or even dialogue. 1st person narration, like a guide/adventure log. 2000-7000 words a day, maybe 40-60% rpgish combat log with some reasoning on combat decisions, with the rest character Talent discussion and progression stuff. 8 person party with a decent variety in roles. Party members usually have 2 primary functions. Told from the support/control Chronomancer's perspective. Each party member will have 6 Basic/Background Traits, then 3 actual Talents with abilities. Capstone from their Educational Institution, Arbritrary as a gift from the temples, and Aleatory which is decided at birth, revealed at 8, and activated after adulthood at 16. Aleatory Traits ignore requirements and are random why is why they are so important. They'll gain new Talents from finding Dungeons to consume in the *Wilds*. Mature dungeons in cities can provide *Challenges* to raise the Phase of a Talent, up to 3 times from 1 to 4. Each character will get to roughly 8 non-Trait Talents. Attributes come exclusive from Talents, are required by Talents, and provide various effects as well. I designed about 220 Talents with abilities, 4 in each of 4 phases. "Traits" are just Attribute stuff. I'm not sure how many will be detailed in the story, more than 100 for sure. I used Talents because I want to be free of the legacy of tabletop. Half those rules are just because of the limitations inherent in a pre-computer ttrpg. This story mostly uses combat Talents, although like 1/3 of the 220 are for crafting and other society and economy stuff. If you really wanted to be a Thief you might take Intuition, Awarness, and Might for Basic Traits and Deftness, Manipulation, and Trickery for Family/Education. Then you'd pick Acrobatics, and Climbing for Educational Capstone and Arbitrary traits. You Aleatory Trait might be Shadow(Light/Dark) Magic, Umbramancy. A Bard might swap Dexterity for Charisma, Music for Acrobatics, and have gotten Illusion(Shadow/Sound(Air/Force)) for their Aleatory Trait.
