《Farmer: The first》Temporary Housing 2

The night passed in the blink of an eye and another day finally came, the sun it's emissary.

"Hukkk....

Jason got up groggily , sometimes opening his right eye and sometimes his left eye, until he felt he was awake enough.

'Haaaa.... what a magical world this is. To bad that my back disagrees.' thought Jason as he felt his sore back , before starting to stretch. It helped a little as he felt somewhat refreshed, but he was still sleepy.

He carefully avoided the still sleeping people around him and made his way to the entrance of the treehouse and tried to not fall as he went down. As soon as he landed something brushed past his leg, making him jump in fright.

"WHAT.....

He jumped one meter to the side before he noticed the the thing that brushed past his leg was the foxes tail.

(No need to be afraid. It's only me...

"I can see that." said Jason angrily at the fox " Why are you staying here, don't you have anyplace else to stay?"

( I came here to get you.) said the fox as it nonchalantly cleaned itself ( The elf has requested to bring you to her as soon as possible, and you should bring your equipment with you.)

Jason's drowsiness was gone as soon as he heard those words.

"Is there anything I should know before this?"

(No, it seems it's not something dangerous, but you still need to be careful. I also haven't told her anything about your status being abnormal , so you should also play along.

If it's found out, it'll be bad for the both of us.)

"Right... " said Jason not trusting the fox's words, but he still headed back up and got his gear. His backpack, dagger, rope, short sword, and finally his bow and arrows . In the process, he woke everyone up and they all asked where he was going, and he just said he was going to hunt something they could eat so they just ignored him and went back to sleep.

Veina and Besia though gave him a 'look' , but they didn't say anything to him. They knew that this may be something personal, and not related to hunting, especially Veina who knew how lazy Jason was in the morning.

.........

After a while Jason and the fox arrived at the place where the elf was and saw that she was waiting for them.

"You've finally arrived... " said the elf as she looked at the disheveled and sleepy Jason who looked like anything but an adventurer, as he really wasn't, making the elf think about the conversation with the elders yesterday.

' Is it really necessary for the Grove to recruit someone like him? I know that the Nexus Core that he found is going to be a great thing for the Grove as we may even get someone raising to ' Nature's Blessed ' in a couple of years, and we even managed to save two of our caravans because of the information he gave us about the attacked villages, but still......

No, the elders know more than me and they should be right. What did elder Dorian say; Once is a coincidence, twice is luck, and thrice is skill. Two times has happened already, so I'm supposed to look if the third time happens.'

"Is something the matter? Why did you bring me here so early?" said Jason as he looked at the graceful figure of the elf. She seemed the perfect image of an elf , and the only thing that looked out of place was the bow that was as tall as she was. She held the slick , brown bow on her left hand as she rested he other hand on her hip. When he looked at that , Jason was more afraid that she would hit him with it rather than using it to shoot arrows.

"It seems that you're interested in the bow as you requested me to help you raise your skill level." said the elf as she finished her thoughts.

"Uh, yeah. I'm the most proficient with the bow compared to other weapons, so I thought that raising that would be more helpful. Why do you ask?"said Jason , having guessed somewhat the reason.

"It's because I'm about to teach you, train you in the bow, but also help you raise your level. The first thing can be done here, but for the second one we need to enter a dungeon.

Come with me." said the elf as she turned back and walked away. Jason had no choice but to hurry up and follow after her, the fox also to his side.

"Hey.. " yelled Jason as he caught up with the elf." Are you also coming inside the dungeon with me?"

"Yes, I am, but I'm only going to instruct and not help you with killing the monsters inside. If I did that you would gain little to no experience from that."

"Really, I didn't know about that. Still, if you help me....

"No help if you want to grow quickly. Though you may acquire the help of the Forest Spirit you've made the contract with to help you, but that will also cut the experience gained in half, before also equally distributing it towards to two of you.

So, I suggest that you acquire his help as little as possible."

"Mhmm, mhmmm...." voiced Jason as he was intrigued by the words of the elf. " And, what about leveling up , how does that work?"

"Leveling up.....is a little more complicated to explain, but there is one thing that is commonly known and almost anyone knows. " said the elf as she flicked her long hair, making Jason think about the color as she was the only one with that hair color.

"For starters, the Classes are divided into combat ones and non combat ones. For combat ones the main and most easy way to level up is by killing creatures with higher level then them, be that their level of the level of their skills. Killing something weaker than you gives little experience.

For the non combat classes it's different. They gain less experience from killing creatures and the most experience is gained by doing what their Class entails. Farmers farm, and Blacksmiths forge weapons and tools in order to increase their level. The experience gained is not quantified equally for every beeing as the experience gained changes with the situation.....and....."

The elf continued to speak about the way to gain levels, but Jason was focused on his level. He was level four, but he just found out that because he was a Farmer he had gained less experience than if he was a combat Class. It was good that he had more information on how he could level up , but he still felt robbed. That only lasted until he arrived at the destination.

"Were here...the place where you will train." said the elf, bringing Jason out of his thoughts , making him look at the big dungeon entrance before him.

"It looks familiar..." said Jason as he looked around and he soon realized that it was the dungeon the fox had brought him once to.

"Come...." said the elf, and Jason followed as he stared at the fox with the corner of his eyes , and saw it look as calm as it could be.

As they arrived at the gate Jason reached his hand towards it and immediately a notification appeared before him.

Would you like to enter ' The Great Forest of Isa'? Yes. No.

"Yes..." said Jason out loud for no reason at all and he was immediately swallowed by the black gate. When he opponed his eyes again, the first thing he noticed was the huge trees that blocked the sun all around him. They had trunks as wide as 5m and at least 20m tall, but there was little sun that passed through as were all connected with countless thick vines.

Then he noticed the heat. Before he entered the dungeon he was experiencing the fresh breeze of the early morning as it was around 15°C , but now it definitely was at least 35°C. The change in temperature immediately made him start to sweat like crazy.

"Fuck this.....
