《Farmer: The first》Employment

Four more days had passed in relative calmness as Jason periodically raised his Strength until it now was 8 points. It didn't seem like much on the status panel, but it was a far cry from his 4 Strength. And so, with his new found strength Jason bought a big leather backpack , a small dagger and a long rope, all essential things for a porter and headed for the guild, is he adventures guild.
'Busy as ever I see. '
Jason saw the crowded two story , stone building that was the adventures guild of this city and smiled. The building was big , bigger than any other building on this city. It was made completely of a grey stone that looked very sturdy , painting an air of invincibility, but paired with the two 5 meter tall warrior statues on each side, it also gave a feeling of ferociousness. It marvelled Jason, but he didn't stay to and more it and went about his way.
During the past four days he had observed the workings of the guild and understood his role as a porter, so he didn't waste a second as he headed towards a group of people with backpack that matched his. They were the porter's of this city who were waiting outside for their party to come out, or just waiting for any random party to pick them for a dungeon raid.
Jason chose a relatively open spot far from the crowded front door and listened what the other porters were saying. It wasn't much , but he loved to hear about their conversations.
"Man, I really really thought I was gonna die yesterday! You know that dungeon with the spiders? Guess what I found in my underwear when I woke up the next day?"
"Haha, what....
"A big , fat fucking spider, that's why! I swear that fucker was the size of my first! When I saw it I was so scared that my dick went from hard to the size in my pinky in less than a second."

"Hahahaha.......
"Hey Gast, stop bragging about your dick will you?! We all know that you fucking lying."
"Fuck you Meis, I'm telling the fucking truth! It really happened!"
"Yeah yeah....
Jason smiled as he listened to the vulgar but entertaining conversations of the other porters. It wasn't only entertainment though, but also a great way for him to learn something from them. For example he had learned that before agreeing to go on a dungeon raid with a team of adventures he should definitely have some document to prove the partnership.
If he didn't have one one he would be certainly go unpaid and he could only blame himself. Fortunately he could do something like that inside the guild.
........
Two more hours had passed and it was now about 10 am. Most of the more experienced porter's had already left with their party while the newbies like himself were still waiting, waiting for their turn.
"They're coming out! "
"Finally, my feet have already gone numb."
' So the rookies have come out huh?' though Jason as he saw a couple of parties coming out of the guild. These parties were the newbies, the low of the low in the pyramid of adventures and as the new porter's ,they had the short end of the stick.
This guild had an unwritten rule that you would have to follow if you wanted to work here. The veterans choose the quests and dungeon raids they want first and the leftovers were left for the rookies. You may choose to not follow the rules, but Jason had already seen where that lead to, and it wasn't pretty at all.
A rookie party was beaten blood by a veteran one before all the porter's and nobody did anything about it. Unfortunately, Jason had front row view of that incident.

' Strength, a must have in this world if I want to live a safe life at least. But what is strength without money, huh? Fucking money....
Jason looked on as the other porters were taken one by one, until someone came to him. There were three of them, a young man in his early twenties which had a shield on his back and I sword on his hip, a very petite white skinned elf with various daggers and knifes all over her body, and last but not least , a burly, dog like beastman with a silly smile on his face.
"Are you available for a dungeon raid?" said the young man coldly towards Jason.
"Yes, I am."
"Great, let's go!"
As soon as the man said that, he turned his back and left leaving an amused Jason behind. The man took at least ten steps before he stopped and immediately turned back with an angry look on his face.
"Why aren't you following me?!" Don't you want the job? "
Jason ignored him and just voiced one word "Papers". This made the man stare at him with his eyes wide open, making Jason question his sanity.
" What papers? If you want to come , you can come, but don't try to fool me!"
The attitude of the man disgusted Jason so much that he left without a word , leaving the man staring at nothing. Even after a lot of staring afterwards from the man Jason didn't agree and they eventually left.
' This fucker! Who the hell is trying to fool whom? Do you think I'm an idiot?Do you think I'll fuck myself over in broad daylight like that?
Fucking idiot....
And so, Jason waited for another half and hour until someone new came to him. It was a lone man in his late twenties with a good but full of scratches breastplate, a bow on his hand, a quiver on his back and a sword on his hip. He had a small beard, a calm demeanor and small smile that didn't waver as he spoke.
"Are you free for a dungeon raid?"
Jason saw the man was solo and was uneasy. Almost all the adventures he had seen were in groups of three or more, but he beeing solo ment something was wrong.
"Are you alone? Where is the rest of your party?"
" I don't have one , I'm working solo for now....something you seem to not prefer. Don't worry, I'm not stupid for going solo , there is an explanation."
" Yes, I'm listening?"
" There is this dungeon that.....
.......
One hour later Jason had travelled about two km outside the city and into the forest near it. He wasn't going camping though, but he was entering his first dungeon.
"Is this it?" asked Jason as he saw a round gate like whole in the air before him. It resembled the portal that he had reincarnated through , but less imposing.
" Yeah, this is it. The Eye-Thorn dungeon." answered the man who was next to Jason. Surprisingly it was the man that was going solo.

Jalan Suram : The 100 Fire Holders
"Why us?" Still staring at the unusually stationary fire of the candle he was holding, Agung voiced the questions in our mind. Holding our own candle tightly, we resolved to ignore them and continued our discussion. It was a matter of life or death after all.
