《Farmer: The first》Flee

One more week filled with pain, sweat and sleeplessness had left Jason tired, but only mentally. If he could quantify the amount of pain and suffering he endured it would be the amount of pain he had experienced all his life X10.

Fortunately with him adding points to his Vitality he had managed to survive something a person of this world wouldn't, and in the process his Vitality had reached 10 points.

'Hah... finally, I'm strong enough to stand up in my feet.' said Jason to himself as he looked at the inside of the hospital he had been for two weeks already. On the first look if didn't look like it changed much, but after spending two weeks there Jason could clearly few the difference. Many people had come and gone in the time he was there.Lone travelers, families, merchants and all kinds of people and creatures. There were also people that came and never got out, either dying silently in their sleep, or crying and screaming for dear life.

The two weeks he had spent in this horrible place had also opened his eyes into may matters of this world, but most importantly it was about Class. Class, as in what the Class in your status panel was determined the way you were treated. For example if someone who was a Warrior Class came to spend the night at this place then he would be treated much better and with much more respect than a Farmer like me him. It was displeasing to say the least, but Jason understood as he was not stupid. The strong rule and make the rules, while the weak are ruled and follow the rules; it's that simple.

' This world is definitely more strength oriented compared to my old one and unfortunately, I'm also one of the weak classes. A farmer that can only work the land is an expendable tool in this world, but there is still hope. With my 'Progenitor' title I'm not only at least two times stronger than a normal 'Farmer' , but I can also learn skills faster.

I wonder if that's the reason why I learned a skill so fast.'

Jason opened his status , went to the skills category and saw one of his two skills. It was the first skill he had gained after he had come to this world.

Silent Steps Lv 1 Your footsteps are one with the ground and your soul is one with sky.

Agility +0.5

Jason cringed at the skills description, but he didn't hate the skill though.

"Well, at least it's better than nothing. It's description is definitely a little over the top and the effect is a little lackluster, but the skill is still level 1. If I can level it up more I'm sure I'll get more out of it.

I guess this is another reward I got for killing those cultists of the dark church.'

Jason then looked at his second skill that he had gained the last week and sighed, but also smiled in sorrow. It was like someone worked so hard for something, but at the end the results was not worth the effort.

Pain Resistance LV 3 If the mind is weak the body suffers, but if the mind is strong the body doesn't waver.

Spirit +0.75

' Tch...' Jason gritted his teeth at the skill he had gained from all that suffering . Seeing it's description and effect he didn't feel that good , but that someone was messing with him, awarding him for all his suffering.

' Fuck you, fuuuuck youuuuuu and your skill!' Jason didn't voice his frustration out loud, but he sure as hell gave two middle fingers towards the sky , hopping that the bastard that brought him here could clearly see it.

"You seem to have a lot of energy I see."

"Ahh.....

Suddenly a voice came from his back and startled the shit out of him. He slowly turned around and he came face to face with the woman who was running this place, which was coincedentaly the woman who was with the man that threatened him with a sword when he woke up. She was as always wearing her yellow robe and wearing he usual dead face.

"Sister Laila, you scared the shit out of me! I thought that those cultists of the dark church came to get me hahahahahahaha......haha....ha....

Jason tried to make a joke to lighten the mood, but her stock unchanging face stifled the mood immediately. Her cold piercing gaze also made Jason swallow as he felt a little bit uncomfortable. It was not because of what she was doing, but because of who she was.

Someone who didn't know her and heard someone call her sister Laila he would think she was a nun of the Plana Church, but she was far from that. The real reason they called her that was because of fear and respect as she was a high ranking figure of this city underworld and this was her house.

"Has your sister come yet?"

' No, she has gone to the market to by a little meat for me to eat. She will be coming soon.

Why are you asking though? Do you have something to say to her?"

"Not to her, but to you?"

"Me?" Jason asked with his voice lower than usual.

"Yes, you! I came here to tell you that some people have started asking around about any survivors of East Village. As if you may have guessed, the Dark Church is looking for you and your sister."

Jason froze at first by the revelation and looked at the woman trying to look for any signs that this was a joke, but he knew that she would never make a joke, especially such a bad one.

"What? The Dark Church is looking for us? But why....

"I don't know, but I would guess that they have come for revenge, and when they find out who you are, they will come for you."

Jason fell in silence as he thought about the words of the woman. They had a double meaning that told that the Dark Church was vengeful and that he was just a weak little villager.

"Shit, I get it! We will leave as soon as possible! Also, thank you very much. Not only for this, but also for hosting us....

Jason lowered his head and thanked the woman, but a hand raised it up again.

"No need to thank me. Also, I'm not doing this for you, but for you sister. Make sure she survives, and we'll call it even."

Jason saw something different and it even surprised him. He saw single tear form on her eyes, but when he blinked the tear was gone.

' Maybe I imagine it? There is no way she was crying , right?!'

........

Right the next day Jason took his sister and they both fled the city right at daybreak. They paid a merchant that was staying the night at the hospital 2 Shil , or 2 silver coins of this world and he agreed to take them to the next major city he was traveling to. This was very hard to his sister as she hadn't even traveled to the city that much and now she was leaving even further, further away from home, but they didn't have a choice.

' I need to get stronger....
