《Farmer: The first》The Edge of Life

As soon as Jason passed through the door a feeling of peacefulness washed over his body. His consciousness was slipping from him bit by bit, until all he knew was nothingness. He stayed in this state for an unknown amount of time, until a sharp pain suddenly hit him. It felt like someone had just poked the back of his head with a big needle and left it in there. The pain was so big that he once again lost consciousness and darkness greeted him again. This time though he didn't stay unconscious for long.
"No nonono, please stop stooop.... don't hurt me! Please don't hurt me!!"
Jason suddenly heard the screaming voice a girl. She seemed to be very frightened by the sound of it, but Jason didn't know why. It was not that he didn't want to, but he couldn't.
' What the hell is going on? Why can't I move my body? '
His whole body feel so sore, cold and weak that he wondered if he could even open his eyelids. His feet were ice cold, and the back of his head was the only place he felt a little bit of warmth for some reason.
"No, please please...noooo...
"Haha, stay put little girl , you don't want to get hurt do you? You don't want to end up like her right....
"Please... don't....let me go! Please...
"Ohhhh, yeeesss! Beg, beg for your life more, more, more....
Jason heard these voices and couldn't help but frown. From the sound of it , it looked like some guy was molesting a little girl. This though brought a shiver through him and he tried to make his body to respond to him.
' Move damnit! I said fucking move....nggggnngg' He mustered all the power he seemed to have in his body and slowly but surely, his tired eyes fluttered open. At first his vision was blurry like he had water poured on his eyes, but as soon as it cleared he wished he had never opened them.
"Ughh....
What he saw was the ground and the cold lifeless head of a young woman staring at him. Her eyes were still open , but they had no light on them, like the eyes of a deal fish. That was not the only thing that horrified him. She was staring right at Jason as her bloody mouth stayed open, seemingly saying something to James.
' What... what the fuck! Who.. what is going on? Wasn't I supposed to get reincarnated? Whose head is this, and why can't I move my fucking body?!'

Seeing this threw him completely out of loop. He had thought that he would be waking up on a bed or something, but didn't expect to part of a horror story . As he was lost in his thoughts, a pair of feet passed through capturing Jason's attention.
"Your excellence, the soldiers are almost done with the ritual. They only require your...
*Crash*
The sound of something breaking was heard, cutting short the word of the one who was speaking.
"You dare order me, you pest?! Know your place!"
"Your excellence....please forgive me for my rudeness. This servant wouldn't dare do....
"Hahahaha.... of course you wouldn't! So get out of my sight, I'm in the middle of something right now. Hehe, it won't take to long....
"Mmmmm....mmmm....
"Shshhhhhh.... it's going to be over soon. Don't struggle, accept the blessings of the dark one...
The room fell silent for a moment before a set of footsteps passed through Jason's vision once again. He followed the feet with his eyes and saw them head towards a wooden door and then out , but not before carefully closing the door.
"Huuuuuuu.....
Jason released a deep breath that he had been holding in, slowly, dragging it out for a long time as he finally registered a slight metallic taste in his mouth.
"Mmmmmmm....
He once again heard the sound of the girl, but this time it was muffled and more desperate than before. It pierced through Jason's soul like a sharp knife.
' Is this my next life? A soon to be dead...
"Mmhhhhmmm.....
' Fuck you! Fuuuuck youuuuuu.....
Shit, I have to do something. '
Jason couldn't take it anymore. He couldn't listen to the muffled cries anymore. He slowly begun to move his head towards the sound , but it was difficult. He didn't seem to posses much strength, but that was beginning to change as a wave of energy engulfed his body.
'Yes, this is it. I only need a little more.' happily though James as he regained some of his motor control and strength. In about five seconds he had managed to turn his head and saw what was happening. A long haired man with no clothes on his upper body was pinning down on the ground a young girl no more than 15. He was slowly chanting something with his eyes closed while also holding a dagger in his right hand. With the other hand he was silencing the girl, only muffled cries coming out of her mouth.

"MmmmmMmmmm....
The girl struggled with all she could, but it was not much. She seemed tired as even her screams started to weaken over time. Jason clearly saw this and couldn't help but think of his little sister, and then the little girl became his sister . It was strange as he knew that she wasn't his sister, but he couldn't shake that feeling of anger.
' This sick fucking bastard! I'll kill you....
He gritting his teeth as hard as he could and begun to get up. It was hard as his body seemed as heavy as iron, but he didn't care at all, all he knew was that he had to get up. First he managed to make his body sit up and then slowly made it up to his feet with a lot of effort.
Fortunately, the man was so focused on his chanting that he didn't seem to have noticed the sound that Jason made as he got up.
"Mmmmm...mmmmm.....
On the other hand though, the girl had noticed as she stared another session of muffled screaming. Her eyes had had a spark of hope in them.
'Yes, yes... it's only a little bit more. Only a little bit more....
As this was happening, Jason had managed to get behind the chanting man without the later noticing, and extended his heavy hands towards his neck and striked. Like a snake, his right arm coiled around the man's neck and then he locked it with his left.
"Gwaaak....
The man was caught by surprise as didn't know what just happened and immediately started thrashing around trying to get free. He reached for his neck to remove Jason's arm's, but Jason wouldn't let him go.
"Ghaaa....ghaaa....
He scratched Jason's forearm , leaving long gashes on it and even tried to stab him from the back with his dagger, but he couldn't. His dagger couldn't reach Jason as he was positioned right behind him with no room between them.
"Gwaaak...kkkk...kkk...
The man struggled for two more seconds before he stopped. He seemed to have lots consciousness, but Jason didn't let go and just continued to strangle him. His grip continued to only get stronger as pain rage also burned.
*Ting*

Two blue boxes appeared in his vision, but he didn't register them at all, he was to enraged to do that. He would have continued to do that for a lot more, but a soft had on his shoulder brought him out.
"Please stop...he's already dead."
"Dead?" questioned James as his sanity came back. He saw that the one who had placed the hand on his shoulder was the girl who was about to get killed.
*Knock* *Knock*
Suddenly a hurried knock was heard in the door making Jason frightened as he immediately let go of the already dead man.
"Your excellence, the Empire knights are coming. We have to leave as soon as possible!"
Silence was the only answer as the man he was looking for was already dead.
"Your excellence , can you hear me? Please, we have to go now!"
'Shit...' Jason cursed at the development, but didn't stay still. He motioned to the girl to be quiet as he reached to take the dagger from the dead man's hand. He struggled a little as the man's grip was to strong, but he finally managed to take the dagger from it's dead body. He then slowly made his way to the door and put his hand on the iron ring that was the handle.
*Click*
The sound of metal ringing against metal was heard as the ring was grabbed by Jason . He gripped the dagger tightly as he slowly opened the door, not wanting to alarm the other side.
"Your excellence....who....
As the door finally opened and the full moon cast it's silver light inside the room, the man's eyes widened in shock. Instead of the man he was expecting, in front of him appeared a scruffy and dirty young man. The man immediately tried to reach for the sword at his hip , but a quick stab to his throat brought an end to that dream.
"Krrrkk...krrr... krrrrr....
Jason felt the warm blood of the man flow down the dagger and then to his hand , but he surprisingly didn't feel it's warmth. He was so cold and tired , so so tired....
'Huh, am I falling?' thought Jason as he felt the ground coming closer to him. Without realizing he was falling face first to the ground and as his heavy eyelids closed again , another box appeared .

Fragments from the Wildlands
“Your first death is always the hardest.” Miguela was the third-born child of a well-off merchant family and knew from around the time she could speak that her life’s path was already decided. She was to become an Orator, as was Xandran tradition. However, Miguela had an affinity with the magikal arts and somehow found herself studying at the Academy. She did just enough to keep up with her studies but never found the motivation to apply herself and “reach her potential,” as her instructors often said. It was not that Miguela was uninterested in the arts. Rather, she knew her time at the Academy ultimately did not matter. Whenever Miguela returned home, she would become an Orator, and that would be that. Or so she believed until, one day, an opportunity appeared that would change her life. Miguela was offered the chance to join a research team tasked with a mission of the utmost importance to the future of the Five Kingdoms. She could not turn down the prospect of regaining control of her life and finally finding a purpose for herself. Of course, Miguela might soon discover that offers that appear too good to be true are usually fraught with lies. Welcome to Five Kingdoms of Cordizal! Question: What is the Five Kingdoms of Cordizal? I often get asked this type of question about my stories by friends, bloggers, and potential readers. The Five Kingdoms of Cordizal is a high-fantasy epic universe that is the setting for most of my stories. The foundation of the universe is its multicultural, multiracial setting with several sentient races attempting to carve their legacy and survive. The world is fully fleshed out and vibrant with a rich and mysterious history not based on Tolkien mythology. This brings me to magic. To me, magic is an essential part of the fantasy genre, so, of course, there is magic in the Five Kingdoms universe. However, one critical part of the Five Kingdoms universe is that magic is an abundant commodity that is a part of everyday life and not some plot device used to drive the story. In short, the Five Kingdoms universe is the setting of epic fantasy stories with deep characters and world-building. I try to tell as many different types of stories as possible in the universe, and hopefully, you can find something for you in it.

However, it's remnants, throwing aside the old order and donning a new mantle of progress aimed to rise above their ancient disputes and go forward as one. Once the Earth reached it's natural limit, and colonies around Terra and Luna had shown promising results, humanity finally decided to make the move to the stars. Believing this to be the start of a new age, they eagerly poured across the solar system and further beyond, greeting what space had to offer with hope and optimism. It was misplaced, however, for humanity's traditional quarrels soon resurfaced and engulfed a now interplanetary empire of many races. As the Earth Empire burned and an intense depression overtook the once optimistic people, some held out hope. They theorized that their problems were born of an inherent sense of home and, in order to rid humanity, now comprising of the Terrans as well as all the other known species of the galaxy, of this burden, decided to move far away from civilized space, into uncharted depths, to start anew. Some 200 years have passed since then, and those hopeful ones have finally found a place to settle on. Firmly planting their flag in paradise, they called this untouched land "Eden" and declared the beginning of a true new age, the age of After Eden.Trouble, however, seemed to still be hounding them, as barely three years after its founding, Eden finds itself at war with a seemingly uncommunicative and uncompromising enemy that far outclasses the odd pirates they were used to facing. A new era of peace, marked by an immediate conflict. Time will tell if Eden, the Grand Experiment, truly is as great as it's supposed to be. ---------------------------------------- This is a sci-fi, character driven, military space drama. Multiple POV protagonists and lots of unnecessary detail. Somewhat psychological. My first work on this website.
