In South Cloud Continent, many believed that there are two types of a beast. A Heavenly Beast and a demon beast. The two demon beast can be identified by their rarities. The Heavenly Beast as the rare one while the demon beast is a common beast.

The intelligence of a Heavenly Beast comparable to a person and the reason why they are hard to catch. Because of the rarity of such beast, it is most valued by any merchant in the market that they fight for it even it is just a piece of a Heavenly Beast’s claws. Any part of a particular Heavenly Beast like bones, claws, internal organs, and others, has a higher percent in quality than a demon beast. When the bones are used in forging a weapon it will always yield fifty to eighty percent chance to succeed and the level of the weapon will be based on the Realm that the demon beast had reached. Which is above the marks of a demon beast materials could have.

In regards to catching this beast was also like heaven and earth difference than catching a typical demon beast. Because these beast have a cultivation base of First Rank Earthen Realm when they are born, also, when someone will catch such beast they needed to team up five to ten people with the same level of the Heavenly Beast. A single Heavenly Beast could fight off five ranks above this demon beast.

The scariest characteristics of such beast are their cultivation base will just rise as they grow older. The older the Heavenly Beast is, the more powerful it is. Mostly, all of the Heavenly Beast has a higher chance to reach Heaven Realm that will give them the ability to transform into a human.

Taming this beast is even harder than catching it because no one ever in the history in the continent that someone had tamed a heavenly beast. Because no one has ever tamed such beast, the people could only theorize and imagine what would be the result if someone had made a spirit contract of a heavenly beast. Would it be powerful? Super Overpowered? No one knows…

Two shadows flashed and landed above the bough.

One was clad in Dragon Warrior Set and the other one was a heavenly beast whose body illuminated in golden brilliance. A halo was on its head and a faint pair of wings was on its side.

A large development had occurred on the two in their infighting. Mao Qingyu’s Dragon Warrior Set was badly damaged by the ferocious attacks of the wolf king. A golden claw mark was on the chest plate. The pauldron on his right shoulder was broken. Other than that, he was still fine and his eyes blazed filled with vitality.

Unlike the Heavenly Wolf King whose golden wings turns fainter. His body has many stabs and slashes even crude attacks that inflict heavy injuries. As time passes by, a large quantity gushed out from his body sapping his overall energy and power. His faint golden eyes turned haggard. In the wolf king’s mind, he couldn’t possibly survive this battle if this goes on.

“Heh, do you think that a weakling heavenly beast like you could possibly withstand a genius like me?” Mao Qingyu said.

Whoosh!

Mao Qingyu tapped the surface of the badly damaged bough and rushed towards the wolf king.

Bang!

The wolf king replied his approach with flurry swipes that target his vital part.

Bang! Bang! Bang….

All the attacks were blocked by the Spirit Threaded Dragon while the pair of rod heavily smashed on different sides that the wolf king could hardly defend.

Their infighting almost decimated all the small branches and even the main branch.

Whoosh!

Mao Qingyu suddenly distanced himself for several meters from the wolf king though he has the upper hand in that fight.

‘Ha!’

Mao Qingyu shouted and he threw forward the rod on his left embedding it on the back of one of the Spirit Threaded Dragon. The other rod on his right hand unexpectedly moved and embedded also behind one of the dragon’s head. The two rods turn into a rod having a dragon’s head at its tips.

It didn’t just stop there, the two rods held both of Mao Qingyu’s hand were connected through its others ends. Appearing like a long staff attached on both ends of golden dragon's head.

"This is the final form of my weapon, the Twin Dragon Staff. With this weapon in my hands, no one defeats me even at the peak of Earthen Realm. Submit to me and I will not kill you or else." Mao Qingyu said demandingly.

The wolf king's haggard eyes stared at Mao Qingyu as if he was thinking deeply about his proposition.

When Mao Qingyu sees the wolf king's action, he secretly sneered. He thought, there's no way he will reject my offer.

Flash!

Unexpectedly the wolf king's body flashed in golden light that blinded Mao Qingyu's field of vision.

Instinctively, Mao Qingyu put into a defensive stance for his safety measure against a sudden attack from the wolf king.

Unexpectedly, when the bright light was gone.

The wolf king is nowhere to be seen!

Mao Qingyu's brows twitched and a vein bulged out on his forehead.

"YOU BEAST!!!!!!!!!!!!" Mao Qingyu shouted angrily that vibrated on the bough.

Weng! Weng! Weng!

Three consecutive flashes of light inside the path and three people appeared.

"That was close, phew." Zink wipes the sweat from his forehead when they arrived inside the path.

"You are right. If we didn't escape earlier I don't know what will happen to us." One of the two people beside Zink said.

“Let’s don’t stay here for so long. Maybe their second battle will be this place. Let’s go!” Zink said.

‘Yes!’

The three of them moved and climbed the path.

Twenty minutes later, the entrance of the path suddenly flashed.

A small golden battered wolf appeared. It didn’t stand there but continually rushed to the exit.

Boom!

A while later after the wolf king exited the path, a flame dance wildly near the entrance. A silhouette of a person appears behind the dancing flames.

Whoosh!

The shadow waved its hands and the flames sway from left to right, revealing the shadow behind it.

Mao Qingyu looked at his surrounding and not even a shadow of the wolf king was seen. There’s no reaction even just a twitch on his brows when he didn’t see the wolf king. And only headed to the exit in an unhurried manner.

Chen Yun finally reached the fifth level.

After helping those City Lord’s disciples at the fourth level, he quickly headed inside the path and climb to the fifth level.

At the fifth level, the fruit’s color is divided into two, a red and orange colors. Given the chance of fifty percent to ascend to another rank.

Chen Yun was not interested in the fruits because his target was at the ninth level. He turns around and walked towards the entrance to the sixth level.

Before he could take a step a golden light flashed from the exit beside the entrance.

Chen Yun turns his gaze to that golden light.

A golden blur suddenly rushed towards him!

With the distance so close to the point that he couldn’t react in time.

‘Ah!’

Chen Yun’s left hand was bitten yet it didn’t hurt at all. It was like it hardly forced itself to bit his hand.

His left hand was still bleeding and a small mouth was tucked on his hands.

It was a puppy with a golden fur. Its body has many injuries with varying sizes that are fatal to the puppy.

Chen Yun was shocked to witness such pet to be heavily injured. Though he felt that it was a demon beast, from the looks of it, the pet was adorable and even have a fluffy fur.

Chen Yun’s first reaction is not healing the puppy’s injuries or remove the pet out of his hand instead his eyes were wide open, that he even couldn’t move!

A sudden sound echoed on his mind.

Bzzzt! Bzzzt!

And old voice follows.

A heavenly beast has made a spirit contract with you, through the contact of your blood. Both of your minds and spirit will be connected with each other, one in mind, and one in the heart.

He saw a woman standing atop of the highest mountain in the area looking into the far horizon as the sun rising to the sky.

From time to time, she gives attention with affection and love to the puppy she held in her arms.

She then looked at the not yet bright skies.

“Oh dear Sirius, where are you right now?”

Sigh~

The woman then shakes her head and left the mountaintop.

Chen Yun who was silently watching the scene, loneliness surge out from the woman. He doesn't know why but he felt sympathy of the wolf. He knew that it was the memory of the beast who made the contract with him. He even knows that this demon beast was the beast who nearly killed him and Zhong Yi!

But what could he do right now?

Chen Yun’s vision warped and distorted at the same time leading him to another memory fragment of the wolf king.

In an another unknown place where a dense forest was set afire while a loud roar comes from the outer boundary of the forest.

Chen Yun’s view redirected at the inner area of the forest.

He witnessed a meeting place, where a person could meet an audience to the highest echelon of a kingdom.

There are three people inside the hall.

The woman he saw at the mountaintop sitting on a large chair signifying his great authority among others, while two beasts were kneeling while bowing their heads in front of her. Feeling not qualified to look at their majesty.

“Milady, the Evil Fire Bear has started to burn our forest!” one of the beasts said in a husky voice.

“Let all the warriors and soldiers assemble and fend off Evil Fire Demon.” The woman said to them.

“Yes, milady.” Both of them answered and quickly left the hall.

Sigh~

“I know that I couldn’t fight off Kodiak without Sirius.” She said to herself before she stood up and left the hall.

Chen Yun was puzzled who the heck this person named Sirius that the woman longed for.

Flash!

Chen Yun’s vision changed once again and he was sent to the memories where her mother was hugging him with both hands while crying in tears and saying many comforting words before her body shone with white brilliance and envelops the wolf king and flies away from the wildfire.

After they left the area, a large fire bear appears and when it didn’t find its target, anger glinted in its eyes.

Flash!

Finally, Chen Yun finished seeing the memories of the wolf king. And realized he was back where he stood.

Unexpectedly, there is no shock written on his face or even a frown. Instead, his brows twitched and anger suddenly welled up inside his heart!

How the hell that his abilities were all about caring for his partner!

While the wolf king has better abilities.
