《Decimating Gods and Demons》Chapter Thirty: Fiery Ifrits

Whoosh!
A rainbow flashed in a black smoking environment where the round magma ball fell. That rainbow flash alerted the ten fiery ifrits as they put vigilance in case an enemy appears.
One fiery ifrit was several meters from the other fiery ifrits while vigilantly scanning the surroundings but the thick smoke obscured the fiery ifrit’s field of vision. In a particular angle near the fiery ifrit, the thick and dense smoke suddenly moves, immediately forming into a large clenching hands while the black smokes sways gently and trailed next the fast approaching punch that drastically reveals a rainbow-colored gauntlet rushing to the fiery ifrit whose red burning eyes glint in shock.
A while later, Chen Yun appears beside the dead fiery ifrit while appearing rather pensive, killing the fiery ifrit was an easy task for him having a cultivation base, Third Rank of Earthen Realm; but the thing that puzzled him, when he killed the fiery ifrit the outlined symbol at the back of his right hand unexpectedly resonates and jumps out of his hand and silently floats two inches away from his right hand, while the ’Hsu’ symbol rotates in leisure manner.
With an unanswered question in mind he blurred and moves forth from the dead fiery ifrit as he targets another, he didn’t find any demonic core from the ifrit though it was at the First Rank of Earthen Realm, he concluded that maybe because it was just a minion of the Wingless Flame Dragon having no sentience at all and only acts on instinct.
After he killed the other nine fiery ifrits, other than jumping off from the back of his right hand, there’s no other notable happened on the mysterious outlined symbol.
Leaving no answers despite after dispatching those monsters to dust, he could only sigh in puzzlement and walks away, continuing his journey to the bark’s gap.
…
Chen Yun’s travel was way faster than the other practitioners, because of the ability of his left eye that could catch sight of a shorter path. Other than the ten fiery ifrits he didn’t encounter any demon beast or any human practitioner.
An hour passed, he finally arrived at the foot where the path using the bark’s gap would start; but what greets him was a gate having one-hundred meters in width and fifty meters in height, attaching on the walls besides it. Climbing the bark of the Fiery Pillar Tree like what a usual tree barks would be in his past world was on his mind, but he concieved that it is way different like the difference between heaven and earth that he feels he is entering a city.
Past behind the gate wall was the trunk of the Fiery Pillar Tree, from his sight he could clearly make out the bark’s gap that magma glows brightly and occasionally explodes in some part of the gaps.
In written records, there is another entrance just like this in other part of the tree in total of ten entrances. Starting from here, was a path that leads into a large corridor which redirects to a main branch.
When one exits the corridors and finally steps on the first main branch called the first level. At the first level, it contains nine main branch, nine paths and corridors; but as the level ascends, the main branches, the paths and corridors will be getting lesser in number, reducing by one in every level ascended.

In every level where the branches attached to the tree’s body, its fruits has different density of effectiveness. The peak’s fruits has a hundred percent chance that when a practitioner eats the fruit he could leap from one rank to another, but below this level, the probability of someone getting a breakthrough will be getting lesser, deducting ten percent in every level descended, leaving ten percent of its chances in the first level.
In making up the fewer chances at the first level, if all the fruits at the first level counted altogether, it will sum up a hundred fruits; but despite it adds all the first level to the sixth level it couldn’t still compare one fruit that came from the ninth level containing a hundred percent chance of success.
Chen Yun hastily entered through the gate wall, when he passed by the tall gate, instead heading to the trunk of the tree, he’s passing into another world, and then sent into an underground where the only light was the rising and flowing lava in front of him. He entered the paths and corridors!
From outside’s perspective, someone could say that to reach the branches of the Fiery Pillar Tree, one needs to climb through the gaps of the bark; but if one witnessed like what Chen Yun percieved on his naked eyes, they could only swallow their first judgement. Because he didn’t climb the bark’s gap, instead, he is inside the bark’s gap!
Chen Yun discern an eighteen meters wide river-like lava which was upwardly flowing while a pair of two meters stairs were on each end of the lava like a dike. Not from afar, he could find that the exit is near from where he stood and from where he stood was a bridge that forks two paths leading to the pair of stairs, giving him two choices. The paths and corridors looks like a mountainous path as one needed to climb the stairs.
He channeled his elemental energy and used his left eye to choose the fastest path, which, in judging normally, it will merely lead towards the end of this path at the same time; visually the same in length but Chen Yun still believes that there might be a right path here.
His field of vision turns black and white as he closed his right eye, blinking his left eye, he conceived that the right stair retained its color while the other regained its luster!
Feeling puzzled, but he didn’t have the answer for now so he directly headed to the left stair and started climbing it while activating the Clouded Steps of Cloud Hands Art.
His movement speed was faster than the average Third Rank of Earthen Realm, thanks to his movement techniques.
“Oh! There’s someone faster than of us.” a youthful surprised voice echoed at the rear of Chen Yun, turning his head and identified a handsome youth, wearing a golden colored robe while on his shoulders was a golden dragon’s head. This youth looks like on his twenties but he was already at the Eight Rank of Earthen Realm! He exuded the vigor of youth but Chen Yun sensed that the youth, at present, tasted a woman. Because two ladies were on his both sides while holding their waist and sneakily fondled their breasts as they reacts a faint moans while a blush appears on their cheeks.

Chen Yun nearly puked when he witnessed such ’scene’, though entertaining but it was way better to see them on videos than doing it publicly but in the end, he couldn't help but cursed, “Lucky bastard!”
The youth didn’t stood alone, at his back was nine-person wearing bluish robes and a Dragon Spear Sect’s emblem attached on their chest. Chen Yun then deduced that the young man was a young master of Dragon Spear Sect. After he discern these people, Chen Yun ignored them, turning around and proceeded upwards.
When the youth found Chen Yun’s reaction, his brow twitched, and he points his right hand’s index finger to Chen Yun, shouting in an arrogant manner, “Wait!”
Chen Yun didn’t stop his steps and quickly left, exiting the underground through an exit.
“You!…” enfuriated by the Chen Yun’s action, pointing his shaking hand to Chen Yun, the other members were sweating when they found their young master, filling in anger. Fortunately someone came forward and asked while cupping his hands, “Young Master, should we chase him?”
When the youth listened to his subordinate’s inquiry, his anger suddenly subsided as he breathes heavily releasing his anger before saying, “Let him be, we’ll head to the right stair. Our objective was to harvest the fruits at the ninth level, let’s not dally any further!”
“Yes!!”
…
The same as before, like traveling from one world to another, different place and different atmosphere appear after Chen Yun passed through the exit.
He found himself standing atop on a bough, with a width of twenty meters. The bough has many small branches attached randomly and a fruit two times larger than an adult’s fist hanging below it while a foliage of red yellow-glowing leaves was on the branches.
It was the Fiery Pillar Tree’s fruits having a ten percent chance to ascend to the next rank!
Chen Yun didn’t plan on taking the fruits on the first level as he looks around and found an identical pathway beside the exit, he then enters inside the pathway.
…
Whoosh!
Chen Yun arrives at the second level without a problem, but after he exits from the underground he receives a barrage of fireballs which blown him back inside the underground!
He fell on the right stairs, his back first, then rolls as he descends back to where he entered. He staggeringly stood and he was unhurt though, only blowing away from that attacks and he couldn’t control his body which he could helplessly rolled. Luckily, he didn’t fell into the river of lava.
Weng! Weng! Weng! …
The fiery ifrits entered the underground while both of their hands were a dancing fireballs. Their crimson flaming eyes glint an entertained light. The fiery ifrits were twenty in total which indicates that it came from a pair of round magma balls.
He shakes his two wrists and an ethereal large gauntlet appears, blurring himself as he rushed to the right stair where the nearest enemy stood.
When the fiery ifrits noticed him running towards them, the nearest dashed like a bull while its body burns fiercely!
The farthest of them and on the other side didn’t join and rushed to Chen Yun but they threw the fireballs on their hands to him.
The first dashing bull-like fiery ifrit neared Chen Yun, and Chen Yun abruptly sidestepped to the left while dragging his right arm behind him and pushed his left arm forward and grabbed the shoulder of the rushing ifrit. With a ’bang’, the ifrit turns into a pulverized ash even the flames that ignites its body, puffing like smoke. It takes a long time to explain but it happens in a few breaths of time.
He then nimbly jumps off from his location while a consecutive fireball attacks bombarded his past location.
While Chen Yun was still floating above the ground, he unclenched his left hand and waves it to his right and a condensed round platform was floating ahead of him which he stepped on it dashing to the other side of the stairs.
The fiery ifrits who stood on the left stair also jump and faced Chen Yun head-on while setting their bodies afire.
…
Weng!
Chen Yun finally exits the second level underground and standing above on a bough with the same width like before and the same environment with only the difference of the fruit’s color, an orange tint was on the bottom part of the fruit. Telling that it has twenty percent potency that a practitioner could achieve a breakthrough for the next rank.
And like before he ignores it and left the place through the entrance’s entry besides the exit.
Before he could enter the entrance’s entry he is creasing his brows probably in deep contemplation, regarding about why the tattoo-like outline was resonating everytime he kills an ifrit.
Sigh….
A heavy sigh came out near the closed lips of Chen Yun as he released it through his nose, scratching his head while proceeding to the entrance’s entryway.
…
In a different branch on the second level, Zhong Yi was helping the other members destroying the fiery ifrits while they plucked the fruits along the way.
“Wow! You really are one of the prodigy of our Blazing Spear Sect!” a sweet young lady-like voice echoed in his ears as he turns around that he couldn't help but smile on a dainty lady who also happily smiling at him, and was so happy that she could join Zhong Yi in plucking the tree’s fruits.
“Haha, yes I am!” he answered proudly.
The dainty lady giggled as she reveals her crystal-like white teeth. Zhong Yi dazed in an instant but quickly chuckled awkwardly.
If Chen Yun witnessed his actions, he will laugh at him, as he acts like a young man in front of a beautiful lady.
“Our Zhong Yi typically fell in love with our lady Yan.” a member of Blazing Spear Sect whispered on his friend near where Zhong Yi and Lady Yan stood, and laughing eyes replied of other members near him.
Happiness were in their hearts, because Zhong Yi started to have feelings for someone!
…
In another branch again, a golden colored wolf with a crown-like ears stood on the first level branch while its eyes glows fervently; waggling its golden tails from side to side.
The Swift Golden Wolf King joins the fray!

Naga rising (Final version)
Eshanai used to think that her life was pretty good, that the elders of her tribe of Naga sisters had their best interests at heart. But one suspiciously regular disaster after another sort of makes you question things. So when Eshanai decides to go out on the island to do the unthinkable, break some rules, and nothing terrible happens to her like the elders said it would, her questions start to multiply. What else could the elders be wrong about? Were the Naga really chosen by the spirits? And could there be other people out there, beyond their island? Follow Eshanai and some of her sisters as she tries to find a way to leave the island and comes up with increasingly creative ways to get into a certain Oni's pants. Author's note: This is not a rewrite of my original Naga rising story. It's more of a reimagining, as it contains many of the same characters and settings but will have a completely different plot. Be advised that the two are not related to one another. This should not be seen as any form of sequel or prequel story. So I have caught up to my backlog, and at first, I thought I could release a chapter once a week. That turned out to be unrealistic as I am writing in my spare time, so periods of inaction might not be uncommon. Some of the tags might not come into effect until later on in the story.
