Clang! Clang! Clang!
The sounds of hammering iron greets Chen Yun’s arrival on the third floor as the billowing smoke of smoldering iron wafts through his nose, as he feels the heat from the nearby forge that burns fiercely as the flame danced from left to right. Chen Yun involuntarily touched his throat as he felt his throat drying from intense heat.
In front of the forge was a middle-aged man with a big arms and a large waist, his brown hair was short while his singed brown brows and his clear brown eyes was greatly on focused at the molten iron that was placed on an anvil which was centimeters away from him, he consecutively hammered it with a large black hammer on his right hand; the veins on his arms were bulging while he exert great force towards the molten iron. His nose was flat that his two nostrils was so large which was a good ventilation against the hot temperature.
The room’s space was the same below but there are only one forge and one anvil, also only one blacksmith and without any assistant helping him hammer the iron.
When the old man and Chen Yun was at the entrance, they waited for the blacksmith to finish his work.
“He’s the one I’m telling about to young master, he’s the greatest blacksmith here in Blazing Spear City!” the old man whispered as he inclined his head near to Chen Yun’s ears.
“What is his name, old man?” Chen Yun softly replied.
“No one knows his right name but he was called by the higher echelons blacksmith Orozco” the old man quickly answered.
“Mn” Chen Yun only nodded to the old man’s answer.
After that conversation, they were put into silence but were broken on the clanging sounds of hammering iron.
…
After two incense sticks to burn, Blacksmith Orozco’s hammering came to an end with his last hammer to the iron.
Bang!
A red halo erupted from the iron as it expanded blowing away the smoke of the surroundings. A silvery glow emitted of the iron which was in a sword shape.
Zstzstzstzst!
The molten sword-shaped iron was placed at the nearby water to cool it off while evaporation floats upwards touching Blacksmith Orozco’s hard face.
Shiing!
A piercing sound echoed from the sword when Blacksmith Orozco pulls the silvery sword in his hands.
“An Earthen Realm silver sword!” Chen Yun exclaimed in shock.
Just like that, he managed to create a sword with a realm the same of Chen Yun’s cultivation base!
But amidst from his shock, he and the old man were sweating profusely and unsure on what they felt, whether they felt hot because of the forge’s raging flame or the time they waited for the Blacksmith Orozco to finish.
“Chuna Yuan, why are you here?” Blacksmith Orozco husky voice rang as he asked the old man when he saw him standing at the door ignoring the sweat that wets his clothes while putting the silver sword and wrapped it with leather as if he was preparing to gift it to someone
“Ah! Yes, yes, yes, I am here to introduce to you this young master beside me, he came from Cloud Hands City and just arrived here today, he wanted to repair his gloves and want to have a custom made bracers as an extension of the gloves.” Chuna Yuan quickly replied.

“From Cloud Hands City?” Blacksmith Orozco, he asked.
“I don’t have time to spare today because I will be attending a banquet in the City Lord’s mansion. It was the City Lord’s son’s birthday today so I don’t want to be late.”
“Oh crap!! I forgot it was today, I am indeed really old.” Chuna Yuan said sorrowfully.
As they converse Chen Yun brings out the pair of gloves.
“This is the gloves I want to repair.” Chen Yun said.
Blacksmith Orozco’s singed brown eyebrows twitched but he still looked at the item that Chen Yun brings out.
“Oh, a good pair of gloves!” Blacksmith Orozco’s eyes lit up.
The Blacksmith’s eyes suddenly sparkled as if he saw a diamond in front of him.
Bam!
He let go of the sword and the hammer in his hands as he quickly approached Chen Yun
“I’ll guarantee that it can be retrieved in one week, yes in one week. And with the bracers that you want to add, no problem, also, for the expenses as the son of the City Lord of Cloud Hands City, I’ll naturally gift it to you!”
A sudden change of attitude was apparent of Blacksmith Orozco’s face; he was not far from this old man who led him. The Same feather really flocks together.
“Really?” Chen Yun acts as if he was hesitating on giving it to the blacksmith.
When Blacksmith Orozco heard his hesitation his face suddenly changed, he never thought that his fame and his condition were so great that it almost turned into temptation didn’t affect Chen Yun. Little did he know that Chen Yun was greatly tempted but he just wants to haggle more of this blacksmith as a payback recently.
“I-I will finish it in five days! Five days!” Blacksmith Orozco hurriedly revised his first condition.
When Chen Yun heard it his face stealthily smirked but return to his cool yet sweating face.
“Bu-b—but five days was-~”
But before he could finish Blacksmith Orozco interrupted.
“I’ll make it in three days and lesser than that then I can only surrender!” Blacksmith Orozco said as his chest was heaved up and down as if his statement has lost a large portion of oxygen on his body that makes him chase his breath.
“Hehehe!~ nailed it!” Chen Yun evilly thinks but his face from the outside was still the same.
“O-okay I’ll agree.” Chen Yun timidly said.
But before he could give it to Blacksmith Orozco, the pair of large hands of Blacksmith Orozco snatched the pair of gloves in the hands of Chen Yun that shocked Chen Yun greatly; Blacksmith Orozco’s action was swift that he can’t even react early.
Blacksmith Orozco quickly put the pair of gloves on the anvil as he hurriedly walked and started burning the forge, but suddenly his steps put into a halt. As if his body was vibrating, “Shoot! I almost forgot that it was his birthday today!” he shouted.
He can only reluctantly put out the fire from the forge and close it off and looked for awhile at the gloves that were laid atop of the anvil; he then picked up the silver sword that was covered with leather at the table.

“Sigh~ I cannot do it today after I finished giving this to the young master I’ll be quick to return here. We can leave together.” Blacksmith Orozco looked at the two and mostly staring at Chen Yun as he said those words with a hint of reluctance.
Whoosh!
But suddenly, Blacksmith Orozco swiftly moves out from the room and the two men were left behind, he even said that they will be leaving together, but his action contradicts on his words.
“What the, is he like that Chuna Yuan?” Chen Yun asked as his face was plastered with a weird expression.
“Yes, he’s like that when he saw an interesting stuff like your gloves.” Chuna Yuan said.
“Is my gloves that interesting to rush like a mad bull towards the banquet?” He asked.
“He has another nickname, ‘The Mad Blacksmith’ if he took fancy on some things that can make him crazy he will then asked the owner to look at his item but no one will refuse because Blacksmith Orozco will offer him a sky-high benefits just by looking the items, there are even many people who will come here time to time to let them look the items they have towards Blacksmith Orozco but they were the higher echelons.” Chuna Yuan said helplessly.
“Though he’s famous, his weird taste on things was way more.” He added.
“He’s really a crazy blacksmith, let’s leave here, the things I want was done and I want to return now.” Chen Yun casually said.
Chen Yun and Chuna Yuan left the third floor and headed straight towards the first floor.
“Is the banquet for the birthday of City Lord’s son was required for him to attend?” Chen Yun casually asked.
“Not necessarily, but Blacksmith Orozco was an old friend of our City Lord and they stand at the peak together when they were young, there were rumors that Blacksmith Orozco came from the Yan Clan but no one has a proof.” Chuna Yuan narrated.
“Thanks for the information, but I think that it was time for me to return.” Chen Yun said as he looked at the sky that starting to get dimmer.
…
Inside the room in the residence of old merchant Olaf’s, Chen Yun was sitting cross-legged on his bed as he cultivated the Minor Gathering Technique.
A circular magnetic field appeared as it siphons the elemental energy from heaven and earth and turns it into strands of different kinds of colors. And the strands of colors quickly permeated his skins and traveled through his meridians and arrived at his dantian.
His dantian right now has a two-layered earth that stacked each other which indicates that he was now at the Second Rank of Earthen Realm.
In every rank has a corresponding layer, and that is why two layers of earth were placed below his dantian.
The strands of different color slowly revolved above his dantian and formed into a fog swelling into a large sphere but it couldn’t fill every corner of the upper part of the dantian. In order for him to reach the Third Rank of Earthen Realm he needs to do the same thing, which is the forming of his elemental energy into a fog and swelled it up to fill every corner of the upper part of his dantian. But the hardest part of the process was when the swelled up fog to crack itself. Because cracking a fog is different than cracking a hard thing.
The circumstance where Chen Yun broke through from Mortal Realm to Earthen Realm was rare!
Because of his strong spiritual energy that he himself doesn’t know which it can ignore the difficulty of breaking the Earthen Realm.
But there is a question that still bugged Chen Yun every time he was cultivating, it was his rainbow-colored elemental energy!
The other people have only one specific color of elemental energy that varies on what kind of elements they're using.
If they have the elements of earth then their elemental color was brown or earthen color while water was blue.
Regarding his question about the rainbow-colored fog, he even looked it up towards the entire library in the mansion or even in the largest library of Cloud Hands City, but to no avail he couldn’t find the answer regarding of his absurd elemental energy.
He can only sigh helplessly; if he has a master to guide him regarding his elemental energy it can truly benefit him greatly but no sage who’s way stronger than his father that exists in this continent but his mother said that in other four continent they were way powerful even combining all the City Lords of this continent. Right now he can only wait for his father to guide him.
Though his mother was right there, he thinks that her mother was only at the First Rank of Earthen Realm, he was unsure if she knows what circumstances he has even if he tells it to her mother.
In order not to be distracted, he set aside those questions and solely focused on cultivating the Minor Gathering Technique as strands of different kinds of color swirled around him.
…
In the next morning, Chen Yun walked out of his room and meets the Black Saber Mercenary who was still angry at him but was diffused when Tu Ren punched Chen Yun’s face yesterday.
And when the members saw him, they suddenly laughed out loud as if they saw a walking punching bag approaching towards them.
“Hey! Don’t make fun of him.” A loud voice rang behind Chen Yun that his ears ring for a short time.
“Oh, Tu Ren!” Chen Yun hated when someone shouted at him near at his ears but in order for him to diffuse the hatred of these people he can only force his smile and turn to look at Tu Ren.

Virtuous Cultivation
-July 10, 2022- Stocked Chapters: 8 I'm out of hiatus, but honestly, I can't trust myself to post consistently anymore... A new arc is about to begin, and I'll start posting again once the entirety is done. It might take a year, but honestly, this story is going to go on for the foreseen future anyway... so I suppose that's just a blip in the grand scheme of things? I'll leave updates here every once in a while, if for some reason you're still actively checking on this incredibly slow story T-T The path of cultivation is often portrayed as one stained by bloodshed. But is that truly necessary? Heaven is merciful, after all. On a rather ordinary day, a peasant girl was whisked away by a strange old man. In a hall of great white jade, she was offered the chance to cultivate. ...too bad she's as lazy as a sloth. Slice of life Xianxia with fairly little action in early chapters, more focused on comedy. Blood & Noodles
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] As they always have, humanity hunts the gods roaming the world, craving the supernatural power that flows within their veins. Even a drop is zealously guarded, passed from master to student through the ages. It is with this stolen power that the Blooded - those with divine blood coursing through them - grasp beyond mortality and achieve prestige, power, and greatness. Yet, for every fraction of power gained, thousands perish, slain by the gods' supernatural prowess. But everything is beginning to change. Eight years ago, for the first time in human memory, a god was felled. Part-time chef and full-time nuisance Orvi wants nothing to do with gods. Living in a derelict city, his only concerns are ensuring his adopted family's restaurant is prosperous and how to best beat the neighbourhood boys in a fight. If he's lucky, he might even snag a date with the farmer's daughter at the market. But even though he cares nothing for the gods or their blood, the world won't leave him alone forever. Because to reach godhood, one must first leave their humanity behind. *** The first arc of Blood & Noodles follows the adolescent Orvi as he attempts to navigate his rapidly changing home and - by his own definition - protect his family. The story is told almost entirely in the first-person, from the perspective of a teenager who isn't always the sharpest tool in the shed. There are tragic elements, especially in the current arc. It's character-focused and driven, though the protagonist's shenanigans are backdropped by a world operating independently from him. Orvi's a generally light-hearted character, and though the story veers into darker territory, I also want it to be able to make readers smile. Action sequences, despite the fantastical elements, are meant to be grounded and clearly-conveyed; Orvi is a brawler, not a warrior. I'm trying to write a story that's enjoyable to read and flows nicely, mainly because it's more fun to write. I'm also trying to improve my writing, so any feedback, whether positive or negative, is welcome!

Gray's Crucible
“The value you have brought to trade is immense, more than a thousand fold what any other traveler to Crucible has ever produced. More than even I produced during my journey.” The old man paused for a moment here, seemingly reluctant to continue. After a few seconds he begins again with weariness creeping into his voice. “As the Messenger of Crucible I have received the value of your life. You shall be awarded a body with potential equaling the value you have brought to this place in accordance with the laws of the higher realms. Now you shall depart for Crucible, but first; I, Jaze, will give you some advice.” The old man, Jaze, he had named himself paused a time. Time enough that Gray began to wonder if he was still present, when he suddenly continued in a low and serious tone, “You will undoubtedly have great potential Gray of Earth, but it is still only potential. What could be is not necessarily what will be. If you step foolishly in my world, if you can not live up to the potential you have bartered for, Crucible will crush you mercilessly and tear away your very soul.” A thought, cheerful and light was heard from Gray before his presence was sent rocketing away like a shooting star. “I’m looking forward to it.”
