At last!
Bandit Leader Gu has finally died, not by the hands of the Black Saber Mercenary or by the hands of Chen Yun and also not possibly by old merchant Olaf. But he died by his own hands just like that.
The onlookers who were the Black Saber Mercenary’s members, Tu Ren, and old merchant Olaf were shocked to the core of the sudden outcome!
Chen Yun sudden transformation made them baffled…
Chen Yun was slowly walking towards them while smiling.
“Why do your faces was so shocked? Is it weird that Bandit Leader Gu died just like that? Hehehe” Chen Yun said as he scratches his head.
The lying mercenaries slowly stand their feet while Tu Ren laid flat on the ground because of his severe injuries. When the members saw their leader suddenly laid flat they hurriedly force to stand and approach their boss.
“Boss!”
“Pfftt… AHAHAHAA” Tu Ren suddenly laughed uproariously for an unknown reason.
“……”
“Pff…”
“Pffft…HAAHAHAHAHAHAA”
But who would have thought that his laughter was like a plague that infects other members laughing with him. They basically understood that they had just survived a calamitous experience and saw their dreaded enemy died by his own hands.
Dying with your own hands amidst in a battle was a funny thing because you can’t kill your enemy but you can do it in yourself. Many people will think that how stupid a person join the fight if he just killed himself.
When Chen Yun arrived he looked at Tu Ren and saw his bloody body that was full of injuries. Unluckily, his bag and his all belongings all turned to scrap by the recent battle, because as he was fighting he was carrying his backpack.
Chen Yun plans to buy a spatial storage in order for him not to lose any valuable things ever again.
Fortunately, old merchant Olaf was a merchant and was typically have medicines in his hands. He put a healing powder all over Tu Ren’s body and chugged towards his mouth a healing potion. The significance of the healing powder and potion could be seen by the naked eyes, though slow it was faster than healing it by the body’s healing capability. The injuries were starting to mend all the cuts and the gushing blood was starting to stop in every part of his body. As he was healing himself up while he was laughing, his laugh put to a stop.
“BOSS!!” the members were shocked an anxiously shouted.
“He’s fine he just collapsed because of his injuries and much loss of elemental energy” Chen Yun softly replied.
“Oh…” they replied.
They were like Tu Ren, having simple minds and simple heart with simple understanding.
They stayed at the location for one day as they wait for Tu Ren to recuperate and took a rest on this stressful day.
Even Chen Yun who was already fully healed he couldn’t help himself but fell asleep inside a tent after eating dinner and it was because of mental exhaustion.
…
The chirping of birds and the heat of the sunlight rays wakes Chen Yun up. Rubbing his sleepy eyes, and stretched his body. He stood and walks out from his tent; he saw Tu Ren and his brother talking merrily as they wolf down their food on their plate as their hands hold it.

“Oh, Chen Yun you’re awake come, eat some” old merchant Olaf called Chen Yun.
He was holding utensils used for cooking, typically he was the cook of these mercenaries and he didn’t mind at all because his life was in their protection so it was a mutual understanding. When old merchant Olaf’s voice heard by the mercenaries their voice put to a stop and looked at Chen Yun with adoration and camaraderie as if he was their brother.
“Chen Yun comes eat with us!” Tu Ren said and a smile was hung on his face while waving his right hand prompting Chen Yun to come.
“Alright!” Chen Yun replied while he walks towards old merchant Olaf and takes his own food before heading towards the group of Tu Ren.
When he arrived they already prepared a seat for him, but Chen Yun felt weirder when he saw the look on their eyes. It was because their eyes were waiting eagerly for something but he can’t pinpoint what it is.
And finally, when he sat the group of men suddenly moves.
Pa!
They suddenly played rock-paper-scissors!
Then someone won on one of them as others were holding their head in frustration as the let out a grunted voice.
“Brother Chen Yun! How did you suddenly transform into something as powerful ah, no, more powerful than Bandit Leader Gu!!” the winner excitedly exclaimed his question regarding Chen Yun’s sudden appearance at that time.
“Ah! That? Okay, I’ll explain it how should I sta…”
“Big Brother Chen Yun! What martial technique did you have to appear those large gauntlets!?”
But before Chen Yun could start, an impatient yet excited voice suddenly butts in and cut his answers.
“Hey! I’m the winner so I should be the one to ask everything!” the winner angrily rebuked the person who butts in.
“Who cares about the winner…”
“No, I am….”
“…”
Chen Yun can only smile wryly as Tu Ren looked at him with a forced smile.
…
When they finished their food they continued their journey to Blazing Spear City.
As they journeyed Chen Yun was sitting on the roof of old merchant Olaf’s carriage while he looked at the sword in his hand. It was the weapon that Bandit Leader Gu used in fighting against him, because of this weapon he can transform into half demons and half dragon. The sword has dragon-shaped runic circles on its blade, the hilt was made up of a dragon’s bones, and its shape was like a dragon’s mouth as if it was swallowing the sword’s blade or as if it was breathing the sword’s blade. The blade itself was simple, other than the rune there are no other things that can attract Chen Yun’s eyes.
Zoommnn~!
Suddenly, the sword was vibrating itself as if it was trying to explode and Chen Yun was baffled on what was happening on the sword.
Poof!
It turned into crimson blood, all the entity of the sword turned into a liquid as if it was melted by the furnace!
But a terrifying thing was the crimson blood speeded to Chen Yun’s forehead!
Fwoom!
He wants to block it but the blood was so swift as it penetrates on his head and he was too late to block the blood.

“AAAAAHHHH!”
Chen Yun suddenly shouted and the people journeying with him were startled.
“What happen?” Tu Ren said.
But when he looked at Chen Yun who was rolling on the roof his face suddenly changed, he quickly climbed up and reached his hands towards Chen Yun’s body.
BANG!
Tu Ren was blown away falling down off the carriage’s roof, Chen Yun was now covered with crimson glow and was shrieking out loud, indicating what terrifying pain did he experienced.
Someone suddenly climbs up and wanted to touch Chen Yun again.
“Don’t!! Or you’ll be blown away!” Tu Ren yelled.
When Olaf heard his call he suddenly stopped and only looked complicatedly at Chen Yun’s situation.
Neither Olaf or Tu Ren or even the mercenaries can help Chen Yun on his predicament; they just hope that he can endure the pain.
But after an incense stick to burn, Chen Yun slowly stopped his painful shriek while calming down his self; his body was full of cold sweat in perspiration while the crimson glow was nowhere to be found.
He was now sleeping silently after he endured that horrid pain.
When Tu Ren and Chen Yun saw his calm expression they let a sigh of relief and continued on their journey.
Though Tu Ren and Chen Yun don’t have a deep relationship after that battle they have a sense of familiarity with each other. Thus, his worries now were not far from old merchant Olaf’s.
After three days, they arrived at the entrance of Blazing Spear City.
The entrance they saw right now was at the north-west gate, its doors were 50 meters wide while its height was 100 meters. ‘Blazing Spear’ was written atop of the gate, each letter was red in color as if it was painted by the color of a blazing flame while the intricacies of its calligraphy were like a stab of multiple spears. Its imposingness was great as great as this large gate.
The guards who were guarding the gate was wearing golden armors that reflects its light as the sun shone towards it, their upright blazing spears that could pierce the heavens and their auras were at the Fifth Rank of Earthen Realm!
The group proceeded inside after finishing the inspection and paid their entrances towards the city.
Inside was clustered of buildings stood like a bamboo that shoots towards the sky; the road was 20 meters wide that many carriages were passing to and fro. Flying clouds of dust trailed at the moving carriages that many people can’t help but channel their respective elemental energy to block the incoming dust that may dirty their clothes. Those who ride carriages were all rich while the walking people were the poor, discerning the status of the people in this city was easy as flipping in the palm.
Time to time, many flying beasts were passing through the enormous gate but it will fly low and land on an area where all their flying beast will be placed, The creatures who were pulling the carriage was way different than the creature of old merchant Olaf. His creature was the common horse that has no demonic core but has a strong body because of the elemental energy of heaven and earth. The others were way above him as they have a bulky burning bull pulling a carriage. It is said that this kind of creature has a demonic core but only at the Mortal Realm, but it is better than a normal horse. There are some that were conspicuous creatures that it can gather easily an attraction from other people, the multicolored rainbow unicorn. With its horn that was glowing in rainbow color while wearing lofty armor and its wings folded from its back, its speed was as fast as the speed of a bullet train in Chen Yun’s real world.
They walked inside and headed towards old merchant Olaf’s residence, as a merchant and a traveler, it was better to have two houses on respective places in order not to pay an inn and can save more trouble for him if his goods were stolen.
Chen Yun was not awoken and was still sleeping.
5 hours later, the Black Saber Mercenary and its leader, Tu Ren and old merchant Olaf arrived at the entrance of his residence.
“Let’s go inside.” Olaf invited them.
…
3 days had passed and Chen Yun was still sleeping on a bed inside the room on old merchant Olaf’s residence. The gates were heavily guarded by four mercenaries while the inside was guarded by two.
The residence was one thousand square meters; it has mountains and rivers eating the whole residence’s area by 80%! The residence owned by merchant Olaf was to the west while to the east was the river that calmly flows its water. The mountain was to the north and its height was indiscernible because its peak had pierced through the clouds.
Outside the room where Chen Yun was staying at, was an old man standing who were fidgeting his two hands appearing nervous or something. Besides him was a muscular man with average face and with a bald head. He was way calmer than the old man but his two hands were clenched as if he was struggling something in his mind.
Creak!
The door opens and an old man wearing white colored clothes and a badge of a flaming spear and ‘+’ sign at the tip of the spearhead attached on his left chest indicating that he was a city doctor.
In this past days, old merchant Olaf and the Black Saber Mercenary was uncomfortable on what was happening on Chen Yun, they even called a doctor now.
The sudden scream of Chen Yun at that time was still a mystery in their minds on what has happened exactly at that time.
“How’s the patient Doctor Shu Ang?” old merchant Olaf asked while his voice quivering for the result.
The doctor was frowning and was deeply in contemplation but was interrupted by the merchant’s plea. He looked at the merchant for while before answering his question.
“He’s fine, there’s no any indication that he had taken any injuries when I diagnosed him but I know for sure that he will wake up tomorrow and that I assure you.” The City Doctor named Shu Ang answered the merchant’s question as he smiled.
If Chen Yun was awake and known that his name was Shu Ang, he could only think about the famous doctor at the Cloud Hands City, Doctor Shu Eng!

Tainted Reflections (A Litrpg Portal Apocalypse)
Thirty-five years ago, the world ended. A small subsection of humanity was sent to a brand new world with a game-like system that 'ensured' our survival, and the rest simply disappeared. I fought my way to the upper echelon of levels, made and lost friends over the years, and it finally felt like humanity had carved itself a small foothold in this Godforsaken place. Until one final person died. Until the system reset, and took everything I'd worked so damn hard for with it. I found myself staring at a face I barely recognized as my own, and the Earth began to end once again. Updates every day Monday thru Friday.

8 127Marakar
Far from the exploration he yearned to go on, Rae, the Kijah prince, finds himself in the middle of the impending war between Kijah'dar and Ga'ani. Unknown to him, or to the rest of the states, the Kijah Magister plots to overthrow the queen, and he will stop at nothing to achieve his plans. Marakar is a fantasy adventure series about the island states of Mar’narana (with focus primarily on the two states, Kijah'dar and Ga'ani). Tensions between the big players are rising, with more and more plots getting revealed, and powers are unexpectedly shifting. As the string of seemingly unconnected events grows taut, the smaller nations suddenly find themselves into the midst of things, struggling with the sudden shifting of their boards. On a more meta note, I am trying to develop two storylines parallel to each other. As you might have noticed, odd-numbered chapters are very different from even-numbered chapters. That’s because those are the two different storylines; odd-numbered chapters are in the present, while even-numbered ones are in the past. Once the two eventually meet I'll continue with just the present storyline. This story can also be found here where it currently updates every other Sunday (about twice a month). Feedback is greatly appreciated! Thank you for taking the time to read. :) tw/cw list (please take care of your mental health! Don't force yourself to read these chapters if they may harm you). -------> Chapter 14: hate crime description.
