A cluster of rainbow-colored mist quickly released from Chen Yun’s body like a smoke bomb as he consecutively activated all the two stages of the Cloud Hands Art. His Forming Stage was formed into a dense rainbow cloud that covers him.

When Chen Yun heard the shout, he quickly looked around. He saw that some part of the ground was not leveled, there are parts that have depression and some were raised reaching 5-10 meters above. It was a great mess. The group of mercenaries was not scattered but they were sticking together with the merchant Olaf. They were protected by a black shield but transparent while their location was one of the protruding ground having 5 meters in height. Chen Yun was just below them.

“Chet, Tu Ren, Oh Tu Ren, you don’t quickly realize who it was, it’s only I, your old friend.” In some distance ahead of Tu Ren was a man wearing black clothes and two swords attached to his waist.

When Chen Yun heard the voice his face suddenly turned ugly. It was the bandit who chased him that leads to his near death. Burning furies suddenly formed at his heart and want to grab him and put him to tiny pieces.

“Bandit Leader Gu!” Tu Ren dignifiedly said.

“Sigh, If only our roads were the same we will be the owner of this route but sadly our roads lead to a different direction and inevitably clashed against each other with contrasting belief…” the surnamed Gu spoke emotionally.

“Shut up, that was already in the past! A mountain cannot hold two tigers, either I die or you die will be the end of it!” Tu Ren answered.

“Heh, with just you?” Bandit Leader Gu sarcastically said.

Suddenly, a distortion appeared at the Bandit Leader Gu, then someone jumps out of it. It was just his lackeys, but they are 30 members and way greater in numbers than the mercenaries only having 15 members.

‘Shit’ Chen Yun silently cursed.

The disparity of numbers was great that one needed to fight two people and from the looks of merchant Olaf, beads of cold sweat were forming on his forehead.

“I-It’s the B-blackened Earth Bandits!” Olaf terrifyingly yelled.

The Blackened Earth Bandits moved as they rushed towards the group answering the terrified Olaf’s yell.

But the Black Saber Mercenary didn’t just stand and wait for them as they also charge against the rushing bandits. Tu Ren was the first one who takes action while orderly shouted, “Attack!!”

The members quickly took action and followed Tu Ren’s order

“For my mother!!!” someone shouted stupidly.

The one, who shouted those words, was heard by his other colleagues but no one laughed at him because they were already in a dire situation.

Chen Yun jumps from side to side and reached merchant Olaf.

“Senior Olaf, do you have any martial techniques or any ways that can help us improve this dire situation,” Chen Yun asked Olaf.

“I-I d-don’t kn-know…” Olaf stutteringly said while his shoulder was shivering and his hands gripping his clothes tightly.

‘I knew it!’ Chen Yun thought.

‘Seems I need to fight with the mercenaries, I hope I can survive this battle…”

He swiftly left merchant Olaf and proceeded towards random bandit. With his Clouded Steps, his speed was way faster than the other Black Saber Mercenary’s members.

The targeted bandit saw the approaching Chen Yun, he moved his two hands as he creates consecutive hand seals.

Form!

The black-clothed bandit’s hands have an earthen ball and hurl it against the nearing Chen Yun, while he advanced.

Whoosh! Whoosh!

The two earthen balls were flying towards Chen Yun, but he didn’t slow his steps, he even increase his speed which was his body was starting to get blur.

Bang! Bang!

The two earthen balls were blocked by the Omni Transparent Film but two depressions were seen at the barrier. Their distance was diminishing, when their distance was only 20 meters away from each other, the bandit took his sword attached at his waist and imbued brown elemental energy. Wearing his gloves on his hands, he quickly channeled his elemental energy straight to his two hands and a rainbow-colored elemental energy enveloped his hands. It was the basic way of using the elemental energy that can amplify the damage of a normal weapon.

Suddenly, Chen Yun removed his protective shield and he abruptly blurred like a loose arrow that swiftly flew away from the bow. The bandit was shocked by the sudden speed of his opponent.

While he was shocked, Chen Yun suddenly appeared in front of him!

When using the protective shield he noticed that his speed was reduced by 50%, then when he removed his protective shield the abrupt speed was expected.

When he killed the bandit he then chooses another bandit, the bandit he saw was above him at the protruding 10 meters ground. Channeling his elemental energy towards his feet with the bursting of the Clouded Step he quickly stomped his speed as he flies to the 10 meters ground leaving a trail of fog from his feet.

The rushing bandit was started as if he saw a ghost when Chen Yun appeared in front of him.

The same like the first bandit, the second bandit cannot sustain with one attack. Then he continued looking other bandits.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Three consecutive banging sounds echoed as three bandits quickly died and were pinned on the wall of a protruding ground. The end result was still the same they died with just one attack.

One hit, one kill.

Every time he killed someone he didn’t forget to loot, he didn’t know what was inside the pouches of these dead bandits because he was in the midst of battle but excitement suddenly rose from his heart. He was way more eager to kill now than before.

He didn’t know that his action has reached the attention of Blackened Earth Bandit’s Leader, Bandit Leader Gu. Bandit Leader Gu was frowning, but he didn’t move but he slightly feels that he had already encountered this young man.

Tu Ren was hacking his bloodied saber on a bandit. The bandit was still shock but his eyes were dimming drastically because he was a bit slow as he was cut into two like a butter cut by a hot knife. The bandit was deader than dead, he was easily slain by Tu Ren.

In another place, was the same thing happened!

The Black Saber Mercenary’s members were also strong backing with their cultivation base at the Peak Mortal Realm, the bandits were slain either they were cut into two, was beheaded, or stabbed by their large saber. It didn’t matter because, at the end, they all died by the mercenaries’ saber.

Though the bandits were also at the Peak of Mortal Realm, their fighting experience was somewhat lacking compared the Black Saber Mercenary.

When the Bandit Leader Gu saw his men were dying one by one, he started to take action. Lifting his two hands and a dark elemental energy converges and swelled up to some degree before he pushed his two hands which was gathering dark energy towards the ground turning it into the black earth and quickly approached towards the front charging the Black Saber Mercenary’s members.

“Be careful, he cast their signature, the Blackened Earth!” one of the mercenaries who was near beside Chen Yun.

“What is the effect of this technique?” Chen Yun asked towards the person who warned him.

“It can slow you down when you step those black-colored ground and may even hold you rendering yourself not to budge even an inch” the mercenary answered.

‘Some sort of a binding martial technique’ Chen Yun thought.

“Then I can only do this!” he decisively said.

Chen Yun quickly estimated his distance and Bandit Leader Gu, and it was approximately 50 meters away.

Gritting his teeth, he furiously channeled his elemental energy towards his Clouded Steps and powerfully stomped his right foot and jumped towards the bandit leader.

His leap was shockingly ten meters high adding with the protruding ground he leaped from which was a 10 meters ground, he quickly cut the gap between the leader and him.

But as if Tu Ren coordinating with Chen Yun, he was also flying towards Bandit Leader Gu at the other area and when they saw each other, a sparkle suddenly appeared in their eyes as if they were communicating silently.

With just a breath of time, his distance between him and the bandit leader was reduced to ten meters, while Tu Ren was at most 15 meters.

When Bandit Leader Gu saw the two men, he speedily stopped channeling his Blackened Earth martial technique and quickly pulled his two swords from his waist. Though Chen Yun was planning on attacking Bandit Leader Gu, it was not because he was brave but his elemental energy reserves were already at 50%!

He wanted this fight to end quickly and with Tu Ren accompanying him, their chances increased when fighting Bandit Leader Gu.

Suddenly Chen Yun was holding the red tasseled-tied spear in his right he massively channeled his elemental energy towards his right arm to amplifying the power as he throws the spear towards the Bandit Leader Gu. Feeling not contented with his recent action, he pulled another item and it was the green jaded sword and hurls it again to Bandit Leader Gu. All of this takes some time to describe but actually happened in an instant.

Shiing!

Slice!

When Bandit Leader Gu unsheathed his sword is the same as the slicing sound occurred and the approaching spear was finely cut into four pieces and it passed through from both sides ten centimeters away from his head and below of his spreading arms while holding his two swords.

Chen Yun was shocked on how fast this bandit executed his two swords but the thing that made him most baffled was his attack has sword intent on it!

It was because Bandit Leader Gu was a famous disciple of one of the sects on the Sundering Sword City. Unfortunately, he was expelled for an unknown reason.

Wearing the pair of dilapidated gloves in Chen Yun’s hands, he positions his right hand as he channels his energy while a rainbow-colored elemental energy was condensing as it envelops his clenching hands. This basic way on using the elemental energy at his hands can greatly increase the attack because when it was touched by other external forces it will explode that explosively increase the destructive power, and it was also the same in condensing the elemental energy into a weapon.

The green jaded sword was following the destroyed spear; was also cut into multiple pieces. But he did it on purpose, resulting Bandit Leader Gu to be distracted and give Chen Yun an opportunity to strike him.

Striking the iron while it’s hot, Chen Yun quickly punched as it whistled towards the head of the bandit leader.

The bandit leader unhesitatingly crossed his two hands as he reversed the grip of his two swords protecting his wrist and channeled all his elemental energy strengthening his hands.

A muffled sound was heard between the impact of the gloves and the two swords. Bandit Leader Gu was pushed back by five steps dragging his feet on the ground while Chen Yun was blown away in an opposite direction but somersaulted himself.

Bandit Leader Gu was shocked because the young man in front of him was not hurt!

When Chen Yun stabilized his body he looked at his gloves and a grave expression was now on his face because he saw two sliced marks on his right gloves luckily it didn’t cut through and reached his right hand.

“How dare you damage my precious gloves, you’re courting DEATH!” Chen Yun was infuriated as a burning flame erupted from his eyes as he dashed madly towards Bandit Leader Gu.

Bandit Leader Gu has returned himself from his shock; he took a deep breath and started to launch himself clashing against Chen Yun, but when he suddenly saw the face of this young man he abruptly blurted, “It’s you!?”
