Chen Yun turned around and was plastered across his handsome yet innocent face which accentuated his expression of being puzzled, his acting skills were extraordinary that if some people who knew him in the past world will be flabbergasted how the heck he suddenly turned into a talented actor, because of the world made him free from society shackles, makes him display all of his hidden abilities.
Whether because of his puzzled look or because the tattered merchant was feeling being indebted to him, he was embarrassed that he cannot repay him with anything he got and in the end he gritted his yellowish teeth saying, “T-though I don’t want to sell this pair of gloves but I don’t want you to return empty-handed. This glove has accompanied me for ten years that is why I was reluctant to sell it to anybody but because I turned into what I am now I have no choice but to give in, so please take this though it’s a bit rusty you can still repair it to the best blacksmith of the Blazing Spear City, it can also help you give some boost for your training.
A-anyways, I am Shamo Huangye. It's not like I want you to remember me but maybe when our fates entwined again I hope I can help you, and I… I will shamelessly ask you to lend me some money in order for me to return home… It was just a bit; I only needed 1000 taels of silver.”
The man was stuttering when he reached the end of his speech, his face was slightly red even though he was covered with dirt. His sallow hands were rubbing each other as it sweats profusely in nervousness, asking money to someone is not an easy task for Shamo Huangye but he had no choice but to swallow his pride to take this opportunity that could help him to return to his homeland that he greatly misses.
Chen Yun was a bit surprised. He still agreed on the Shamo Huangye’s proposal even though he had not hoped that they will meet again.
…
After, he gave the money towards Shamo Huangye whom who repeatedly thanked Chen Yun which making him feel a bit awkward because he felt squandering the money of his parents to this unknown person. Yet, he still gave the money in order for Shamo Huangye not to feel the despair of his rejection and help him return to his homeland.
It was late in the afternoon before Chen Yun returned home but he stopped at his mother’s courtyard and returned the City Lord’s Symbol to her while also indicates that he has arrived before heading towards his room to take a look at the items he had bought from the Merchant’s Street.
When he arrived at his room, a whiff aroma of wood furniture meet Chen Yun’s nose but he ignored the beautiful scent as he quickly opened his bag filled with his miscellaneous items that he bought from the Merchant’s Street. The assorted things he had bought were, defensive items, weapons, he has also had potions, even ores, then the last was different kinds of medicinal plants with different colors which can be used for concoctions. Though he bought many things at the Merchant’s Street, he passed on buying any martial techniques though it was essential to have other martial techniques but he thinks that he didn’t need any other martial technique because the Cloud hands Art was the strongest martial technique the Cloud Hands City can have, but the thing that makes him feel interested is the dilapidated pair of gloves that Shamo Huangye has given to him. Though Shamo Huangye didn’t give a name of these gloves, he didn’t mind it because he just mimicked the events where the protagonist found a legendary item because of a poor merchant.

His quick-witted yet clear black eyes lit up when he saw his goodies were laid on his bed, he segregated his items with each category. A matter of 10 minutes toiling, he was done in separating them. He has three defensive items; the first one was a yellow glowing triangular item and has a pointy end at the middle of the triangle. When activated, the triangular item will enlarge and can defend in one area of his body. It was called Triangular Pointing Light Shield. Then the second one is called Omni Transparent Film which is a transparent circular protective shield that covers his body completely while the last item was Murky Snake's Green Heart Scales, an item that prioritizes in protecting the vital part of the human body which is the heart. When he put the Murky Snake's Green Heart Scales on his chest where it covers the area where his heart is, he felt secured and much more feeling safe with his additional two defensive items when activated.
He looked at the two weapons, a red tassel-tied spear and a green jaded sword were placed next to his defensive items, though they are quite attractive and might be handy in times of battle he suddenly felt that the pair of gloves was his forte than the former.
The potions he got from an apothecary store, he has 3 external healing powder called Thrall’s Red Healing Powder, and 5 intake green healing potions that can heal both internally and externally but the downhill was that if inflicted by an injuries and had taken the potion, in days time the user will be healed completely, as the description indicates, it was called Day Healing Potion. Still, it will greatly help him from any dire situations.
After he finished his arrangement and inspected each of his items, he quickly kept it aside in a brown tall box which looks like a cabinet with many shelves; even so, it was still a mobile one before he put it uprightly in a corner. Then he quickly lied on the bed and easily fell asleep after a couple of minutes.
When morning came as the sun rose from the east making the cool temperature turned a bit warmer with the fresh air passed across the mansion.
At the training area of the Cloud Hand City’s Mansion which wind passes occasionally, there was a person who was training vigorously at the middle of the training area as the winds gently pass across his body. He was Chen Yun who was cultivating the Cloud Hands Art with his new training gloves. The pair of gloves was now clean and a bit appealing but still, he can’t deny it being old and decrepit. When someone saw these pair of gloves they can easily discern with one look that it has endured the passing of time.
Yesterday, with a flick of his fingers he can cast the two swirling fog but now, with just an intent of his mind, two swirling fog suddenly appeared both of his hands reducing a bit more time and more efficient in any future circumstances. He can now execute the second stage 10 times!
He was pleasantly surprised of the miraculous gloves in his hands because of its enhancement towards his comprehension!

Though Chen Yun felt that he has a high aptitude on comprehending any martial technique but it was greatly amplified by the effects of the gloves by 10%. No wonder Shamo Huangye was reluctant on giving it to him because of its powerful effects. Unfortunately, other than the enhancement of his comprehension there are no other options. Still, he was quite accomplished because of his profit and it was many times greater than the 1000 taels of silver he gave to Shamo Huangye.
When he reached the tenth cycle in executing the Forming Stage he lazily rests at the side of the training area to rest and recuperate his depleted elemental energy, he channeled his Minor Gathering Technique. A thin yet transparent circular shape magnetic field suddenly appeared around Chen Yun as it gently enveloped him. Different indistinct colors slowly surround the magnetic field which was sucked inside the field and turned into thin strands with each respective color then permeated towards his skins. When it reaches to his dantian it turned into a fog and slowly swelled into rainbow clouds.
After four hours, the rainbow-colored clouds have filled the every corner of his dantian making his elemental energy at its peak once again yet Chen Yun felt he was not filled his dantian, so he persisted in continuing the Minor Gathering Technique. Even though the Minor Gathering Technique has no mastery level which is the Beginner, Apprentice, and Master. He thinks that it was already at the Beginner mastery level because of its name implies, unfortunately, there is no Intermediate Gathering Technique or any other part of the Minor Gathering Technique in the mansion or in the city. In the history books of the largest library of the city, stated that there is indeed an Intermediate and Master Gathering Technique which greatly supplements any practitioners who cultivate it. He hopes someday that he may have a chance to acquire and complete the 3 Gathering Techniques that can greatly help him in his cultivation.
Suddenly, his swelled-up rainbow cloud in his dantian emit crackling sounds like a thunderous sound as if it was following from a lightning strike from the clouds itself, he continued channeling the Minor Gathering Technique fervently as he highly anticipated on what will happen on the rainbow cloud.
Boom!
A loud booming sound suddenly resonated on the rainbow cloud which makes his black eyes lit up.
Crack! Crack… crack…
A crack suddenly appeared in the swelled-up rainbow clouds and keeps spreading like a net as it covers the entirety of the rainbow clouds.
“No! No… no no no no!” Hurriedly said by Chen Yun as he quickly stopped channeling his Minor Gathering Technique but it didn’t stop the spreading net-like cracks but to his dismay helps to increase the spreading of the cracks like a water in a dam that suddenly broke and a flood runs towards the rivers, without its blockade it travels at an unprecedented speed. Instead of his great anticipation, a mishap has occurred turning into a dire situation!
Pop!
A popping sound suddenly echoed, but this sound in Chen Yun’s ear was like a mourning song because he might recuperate his elemental energy back to zero! The cracked rainbow clouds suddenly broke apart and turned into tiny pieces as it falls towards the bottom of his dantian.
‘What the heck? Is that it? My hard earned elemental energy was gone just like that?’ Chen Yun thought sorrowfully while emitting a bit sobbing sound as if he was crying because of the loss of his painstaking effort to accumulate elemental energy on his dantian.
“Chet! Why these cracked pieces were on the bottom of my dantian. It should be dissipating sooner or later.” Chen Yun hatefully grumbled.
Wait… bottom of my dantian?
“Oooh!, it was when a person reached a certain realm his elemental energy which was in a fog state will turn into solid particles and will dwell towards the bottom of the dantian as it slowly formed into an earth.” Chen Yun struck hard from the information popping out in his mind and his shocked face suddenly turned into a weird expression because it was in between of grinning and being angry.
He unexpectedly has a breakthrough to the Earthen Realm, an unbelievable feat!
When breaking through, one has to have sufficient preparation and sufficient elemental energy to break the barrier between the Mortal Realm and Earthen Realm but in Chen Yun’s case was a bit rare occurrence and unexplainable phenomenon. If someone knew that Chen Yun has a breakthrough in an easy way they will be shocked!
But Chen Yun in the first place doesn’t want to inform anyone about his breakthrough, not because he was not proud about his greatest breakthrough but he was embarrassed by his action recently like a crying baby who spilled his own milk. Not knowing that that rare situation was his breakthrough towards the Earthen Realm making him feel a bit angry.
A big question mark suddenly popped up in his mind, why did he feel that breaking through from one realm to another was so easy like flipping the back of his hands, feels unbelievable.
Though it’s unanswered question today that doesn’t mean it will still be a question in the future. His flying thoughts and ideas were temporarily set aside to the back of his mind as he expectantly tests his newfound power. He wants to familiarize and control the Earthen Realm rank one’s power; most of all he needs to stabilize it. He also felt that the having a strong and steady foundation was one of the reasons of breaking through towards the Earthen Realm in a smooth sailing way. Yet, it was not a definite answer.

The Hopeful Project
A pair of twins stumble their way into the world of blood magic, lizard people, and cultivation powered mecha-armor. And by stumble, I mean one of them falls on their face while the other laughs. [Writathon Participant] People read this far? What are you doing down here? Escape! The chapter buttons are over there, stop reading this. No? Fine. This book is an excuse to put a world I spent around 3-4 months of my life building over the pandemic into writing. I was planning on doing the writathon last year, but somehow managed to confuse October and November. Dont laugh, I'm already ashamed enough. This book is about a pair of twins, doing twin things: calling each other names, going to school, learning how to use their blood to become unstoppable, juggernaut, killing machines... You know, twin stuff. It's like if someone stuffed a school arc inside of a tournament arc inside of a war arc. A good time, basically. I hope you enjoy it.

And now we are here, enjoy it. --- Looking for an editor!!! I'm writing this in an attempt to put a comedic feeling into something many people go trough: finding their place, fitting into society, adjusting to responsibilities and facing their problems. It's not really "WOW, HE MADE SOMETHING NEW!", but is more like "Heh, look at dumb ass doing shit... Oh... Hey, I do that too!" So feel free to read at your own risk. Don't know if it will be sporadic, regular or what. For now, it's a creative spur that needed a valve to release and. Here. We. Are.
