Noon arrived.

Chen Yun had finished his cycle of gathering the elemental energy towards his dantian making him filled with great vitality. He left outside his room after he tidied up his bed and headed once again to her mother’s courtyard to eat with her, before proceeding towards the training area.

When he is near on his mother’s courtyard he suddenly heard a vague humming sounds coming from the courtyard, making him to slightly stop his footsteps because the sound he was hearing makes him feeling cool like witnessing the descend of a goddess to the mundane world. Intrigued by the beautiful sound he hastened his footsteps as approached the door leading towards the courtyard. When he arrived inside the courtyard, surprise flashed by his eyes when he saw that it was his mother who was the one who hums the melodious music like a woman’s great artistry that receives great affection and appreciation towards from her audiences and was rendered powerless against her to not do anything and be contented just hearing her hum a song.

He slowly approached her mother but stops when he reached 5 meters distance between him and his mother.

When her mother finished her beautiful hums, Chen Yun suddenly clapped as if he was responding through his appreciation towards mother’s performance. Her mother was started and slightly surprised by his sudden response and because she suddenly saw her son came inside her courtyard without her noticing him, but her expression quickly returned from her normal disposition and was replaced with affection like a mother’s love towards her son.

“Oh Yun’er, why are you so early in coming here today? Did you stopped your training or is there something that bothers you in making your breakthrough from your limitation? His beautiful mother caringly and affectionately asked as her eyes were sparkling as she looks towards her son.

“Ummm… I came here because I just think that it is time to eat lunch and it was already noon, also, I want to give more time to my mother, would you refuse my good intention mother? Chen Yun slyly replied his mother as he slowly walked towards his mother. He walked was not fast nor was slow yet it was consistent, it didn’t last long, he arrived near to his mother and they were facing face to face.

“Ah… hehehe, let’s eat mother because I think I am hungry hehehe” he quickly said to his mother as he scratched his head and a tinge of beet red on his cheek that made her mother laugh uncontrollably.

When he left the courtyard of his mother, it was already past noon and he needs to train vigorously in order for him to slowly comprehend and control in limiting the consumption of elemental energy until it will be in the smallest elemental energy consumed.

The second stage which is the Forming stage in the Cloud Hands Art was a mysterious stage of all the three stages of Cloud Hands Art, because of the reasons that the earliest practitioners who studied the Cloud Hands Art came to a conclusion that the second stage which is the Forming stage in Cloud Hands Art is a questionable invention. Many people research about the reason why it was created in the first place and they only found that other than it was required to reach the third stage there are no other alternative way in order to make use of it. Some jokes were created because of the theories regarding the second symbol which tells that it can be used in some way by doing some magic tricks to the children. In the end, it was still useless though they can turn the elements into a shape they want, it cannot be used against their enemies.

He still continued his training as his usual spot in the training area, when he arrived he quickly executed the Cloud Hands Art stages, the first stages was quickly performed with the flick of his fingers, before he proceeded towards the second stage which is the forming stage, unluckily, he was still slowed in performing the second stage that lasts the same time with his last attempt, but though he didn’t improve in shortening the time in casting the second stage, the consumption of the second stage was diminished a bit, though it was just small that seems insignificant. He firmly believes that there’s no sea without a drop of water, making him feel overjoyed and think positively of it as an improvement of his Cloud Hands Art.

His training only last for a short period of time because his fourth attempt was nearly exhausted his elemental energy reserves, and because he has lost his elemental energy early on, he walks towards his room in order for him to recover the lost elemental energy reserves using the techniques which is the Minor Gathering Technique.

When he was still in the middle of his path towards his room, and an idea flashed in his mind that why not give some time to leave the mansion and tour around the city and look something interesting and items that can help him boost his strength in some considerable degree. He felt that just by thinking about it makes him feel excited like a kid who was going to park with his parents. Without any delay, he quickly changed his direction and he returned to his mother’s courtyard for her permission.

“Mother! Huff… huff… huff… Mother, can I have your permission I want to go to the city and tour around the place in order for me to have a bit breather of my training and maybe I may find some items that can help me boost my training.” Chen Yun quickly said as he chases his breath heavily because of his hastened steps.

“Sure why not? If you want to buy something just say that ‘the City Lord household will pay all the required payments’ and for further proof take this” His mother answered gently, she was not puzzled even a bit as if it was just natural to leave the mansion. She then gave the thing she just said. It was a round shaped stone jade. Its material was a Horizon Realm spirit stone and was carved intricately with a word City Lord and below it was Chen which giving the authenticity if it was used as a proof. This thing cannot be easily copied nor no one will ever dare to imitate it because it symbolizes the power of a city’s City Lord and each of this thing has a unique characteristics which when an elemental energy were inserted inside it gives a unique resonance that can provide the authenticity of the City Lord’s Symbol.

“Thanks, mother hehehe, I love you mom” Happily replied by Chen Yun while he received the City Lord’s Symbol from the hands of his mother and then he kissed the cheek of his mother before leaving.

His mother was pleasantly surprised by his action yet, instead of being angry, the love to her son has reached an unprecedented level.

It was at the mid-afternoon when he left the mansion and headed straight towards the place where the buyers and the dealers converge.

“Fellow Daoist, my products are all high quality and it came from the far city of the Blazing Spear City…”

The discussion was a mess when Chen Yun reached the place which they call it ‘Merchant’s Street’, someone was haggling, others are angry, some others have completed a deal making the two sides reach into a satisfactory condition, and also there are others who were dispirited. All in all, Chen Yun was still happy because of how lively the place is!

He looked each of the merchant’s products and he chooses the thing he wants and feels that is was interesting. He didn’t stingily buy or squandered the money by using the City Lord’s Symbol even though he knew that his parents were not a poor. Every time he gave the City Lord’s Symbol, the merchant will always be surprised as if he saw a supreme item, but they quickly reverted back their expression professionally while their eyes were sparkling while saying that all the things he bought will be discounted making Chen Yun a bit baffled.

When the sun was slowly setting down is also the time for him to return home. He suddenly saw something that makes him feel interested. A pair of dilapidated gloves was placed at the roadside and a tattered merchant. Many people were passing by the tattered merchant shop though he was not old but he was not young either, the reason why he was ignored was typically from the way he looks it naturally invites that all his products were all crap and useless, but in contrast to Chen Yun’s point of view, his understanding towards this situation is like the same on the novels he had read in the past which is that the protagonist sometimes got his good fortune from buying the item from the inconspicuous people. He then walked towards the tattered merchant.

“Um boss, how much is this?” asked Chen Yun to the merchant.

“It is not for sale…” The tattered merchant hoarsely replied.

“Eh? Why?” He asked surprised.

He thought, “Hmm… What is the right thing I should do in a situation where the dealer’s items were not for sale? …”

Many ideas flashed inside his head and one of it is that he needs to trade something with the same value with the merchant in order to have a satisfactory deal, but from the looks of things he seems like he don’t want to trade on something as it was written on his face but why would he displayed this items? Chen Yun thinks furiously on making a perfect way in order for him to make the merchant accept to sell the pair of gloves though dilapidated. He suddenly left the merchant’s shop as if he suddenly lost interest in the merchant’s items.

Sigh…

A deep long sigh came from the tattered merchant’s mouth as if he had lost his hope of something…

A minute later, Chen Yun suddenly returned and was bringing something on his hands, when he was near on the merchant’s shop a hunger biting aroma wafts towards the tattered merchant’s nose that twitched slightly.

“Here, take this. Fill your stomach because I felt that you seem so hungry but you were ashamed to ask around so in order have an excuse you sell this stuff in this roadside. If I have not noticed your grumbling stomach I don’t know how I can help you…” Chen Yun said much nonsensical stuff as if he was a detective with great sensory towards the merchant’s condition.

Even though the tattered merchant feels embarrassed he braced himself and reached the food Chen Yun passed to him, and he quickly opened it and his two eyes lit, inside was a piece of newly cooked meat bun and quickly ate the food. Chen Yun only looked the tattered merchant while he was smiling towards him as if he was amused by the actions of the eating merchant that seems like a bit comical with the stains on his mouth.

Huohuuk!

Because the tattered merchant was wolfing down the food in his hands he suddenly choked himself that he can’t help but look for water which Chen Yun gave the merchant.

“Now fill your stomach, I will leave now hehehe though I feel quite amused by your actions I hope we’ll meet again,” Chen Yun said as he walks away, waving his hands towards the merchant.

The merchant was surprised because Chen Yun didn’t strike the chance to ask the merchant of getting the pair of gloves though a bit useless other than wearing in training. A moist was formed in the eyes of the tattered merchant as he was looking at the back of this young man, he never thought that there are still good people that were living in this world. In this power oriented world, there are only small chances that a person can meet someone who helps but never asked for return and this chance is what he was experiencing right now!

“Wait! Are you not planning on taking the pair of gloves?” The tattered merchant asked hoarsely.

The corner of Chen Yun’s lips was slightly lifted upward but it is not a sinister looking smile but an innocent smile that can make girls be captivated. His successful attempt on what to do against this situation has come to realization and his goal was to make the merchant feel owed to him and would resort only on giving the pair of gloves. Though a bit underhanded tricks but he’s not saint so why not? He believed in the saying that ‘You reap what you sow’.

“Yes! It really put into good use being a reader of fantasy novels huehuehue” Chen Yun evilly laughed in his thought.
