CHAPTER FOUR
My vision became blurry. I couldn’t focus, it was like all my surroundings were made of mist. Everything covered, ripples appeared in the center of my vision. With each ripple, my vision became clearer and clearer - allowing me to see the magnificent sight in front of me.
In front of me was a COLOSSAL Grand Hall made entirely of gold. It stretched for what seemed miles and miles, golden pillars and flags hung up everywhere. I can’t even imagine what the size of such a palace was. It exuded a sense of royalty, and in the center lay a golden Heavenly Throne embroidered with jewels and gemstones. Within it sat the Regal Husband.
He seemed younger, with a large golden crown on his head. His bronze eyes matched perfectly with his royal gold robes. His foot lying carefree on the handle of the throne, he couldn’t seem any more relaxed. His eyes were currently observing a crowd in front of him, led by a bony man with slender fingers. His nose extended out like Pinocchio, he had a greedy wide smile while looking at the crown on the Regal Husband's head.
“Emperor, you know why we are here. The Prophecy said there will be two revolutions in Heaven.” The greedy man, wearing flowing green clothes embroidered with mysterious symbols and snakes, smiled wickedly at the Regal Husband.
“Click, click, click.” The sound of heels clattering on the aureate floor. The Royal Wife made her appearance, wearing a long purple dress with silks of fine gold embroidered within. Her face had a deathly seriousness that contrasted her appearance deeply. She walked over to the side of the Throne, standing next to the Regal Husband. The pressure from the two filled the entire room with a tense atmosphere.
“Echrage, Echrage. Don’t quote the prophecy - you would have come here regardless. Your ambition simply soars too high. A shame a shame. Well, you will understand the prophecy in time.” The Regal Husband spoke calmly, yet each word was engraved within all of the hundreds of Immortals in front of him. The fear could be seen on their faces as soon as the Regal Husband spoke, yet it quickly disappeared as they remembered the rewards promised by Echrage.

“Useless talk, my Emperor. On the name of I, Echrage, today you shall be overthrown.” The green-robed man spoke up, his voice also echoing within the heads of the Immortals, as if trying to erase the Regal Husband's own voice echo.
“Hmph! The audacity, daring to speak to my husband the way you do. Come here, I shall show you all what the Prophecy proclaims!” The Royal Wife stepped forward, pressure enveloping all of the Immortals. Rage was obvious on her face, her hair began to lift into the air, making her seem like an Asura. Black mist exuded out of her body, her hair changing from a jet-black to a glossy white.
The hundreds of Immortals responded fiercely, each bursting forward with their own unique auras and powers. The Royal Wife burst forward within the crowd, black mist and energy flying everywhere off of her. Anmos’ vision became blurry - the barrier projecting the memories to him couldn’t display the Immortal War.
Anmos’ vision became clear once again, and the first thing he saw was the Royal Wife, her purple robes covered in crimson blood and green colors. Her robes were spotted with tears and her own body had long lacerations and fierce burns. Her entire left arm was gone, blood dripping down on the floor as her jet-black eyes glared at the remaining Immortals. They couldn’t look at her straight - her eyes cast them into a world full of slaughter and Immortal Blood. They all began to run, but how could she allow it? She appeared in front of them, her right hand grasping each of their heads before a final squeeze ended it all. Sometimes, her black mist would envelop Immortals whole, dissolving them till there was nothing left.
It wasn’t long before she was the last Immortal left, albeit gravely injured. At that time an even more fierce battle was occurring in the sky above the floor.

The Regal Husband had an elegant golden blade within his hands, clashing ferociously with Echrage. Echrage was wielding a spear, bending and curving like a snake, peculiar green gas exuding from his presence. His own personal Immortal Guards were attacking the Regal Husband whenever the opportunity came. Often times a powerful attack would manage to slip by the Regal Husband’s defense - injuring him further. Yet almost every time that happened, a clean slice of the golden sword and the attacker’s head would fall down.
Anmos’ vision once again blurred, however, it was blurred for many times longer than when it was the Royal Wife fighting the Immortals. Fate was on Echrage’s side.
Anmos’ vision cleared. He saw the Regal Husband and Royal Wife, standing side by side. Their robes were torn, the Regal Husband’s right hand was gone, blood dripping down. He even had a laceration wound to his stomach, his golden robes holding a crimson color. His amber eyes were glaring at the one-armed Echrage. Just Echrage, every single of his chosen Immortal Guards died under the Regal Husband’s sword.
“Emperor, Emperor. You fought fiercely, if it was not for Fate being on my side, I wouldn't have won this battle. Yet, even though, you must hand in your crown now. Accept your fate, my Emperor.” Echrage laughed wildly, his greatest ambition being achieved - Emperor of the Heavens. He prepared to lower his emerald spear down to the final blow, deep satisfaction arising in his heart.
“Haha. Before you get excited, Echrage, just know that there was destined to be two revolutions in Heaven.” The Regal Husband broke out in a condescending smile as if he already won.
“Of course. This is the second.” Echrage frowned, becoming a deep sense of foreboding building within his heart.
“What if I told you, I was awarded the role of Emperor of the Heavens. YOU are the first revolution. And the second will come in all due time.” With that the Regal Husband waved his hand, magical symbols filling the room, surrounding him and his wife in a vortex of black and white.
“What!? Wait! Come back here!” Panic arose in Echrage’s heart, he had triple checked before executing his plan to make sure there wasn’t array formations within the palace! He lifted his spear, green light surrounding it as if it was the emerald sun itself. He slammed it against the vortex over and over. With each unsuccessful slam, his hysteria and trepidation increased.
“Fear my son - the inheritor.” With those everlasting words, the black and white symbols congealed together and then exploded - leaving Echrage to stare at the empty space in front of him. Echrage looked down and saw that every single one of the Immortal bodies looked withered down. As if their life force had been directly sucked away. And at that moment, he knew that there wasn’t an array formation. They rather used a technique to form disappearing seals out of each Immortal body - how ruthless and tyrannical.
After that day, Echrage was named Emperor of the Heavens. He established his position and ruled over all the Immortals that didn’t participate in the revolution. Yet he wasn’t satisfied - he was terrified. He feared, he absolutely feared the second Heavenly Revolution. He feared the inheritor.

8 103Magitech Awakenings
In this world of Terrapia, myth states that Dragons are caretakers of the chaos wheel, a band of energy that encircles the world, penetrating through the very fabric of the dimension. They tame and convert it, not only to fuel their primal magic, but also to gentler forms that man and beast alike can tap. But now they have faded away, being sighted less and less the past couple millennia. With magic weakening, science has taken root and in many cases merged in a symbiosis with magic. Guppy Bright, a 17 year old young woman, is a technomancer apprentice living in the bustling city of Nolusburg trying to make ends meet. Apprenticed to the enigmatic and somewhat crazy Technomancer Friedrich BrassTuner, she participates in an experiment meant to tap a new rich source of energy. However something goes horribly wrong and a rip in the very fabric of reality opens in the workshop, sucking in her mentor and ejecting a dying white dragon. The dragon, after examining her, takes a gamble and entwines their souls, an act that causes the dragon, Barthurthalomalew Dresnarian Kratomanger Harrowhew Objuslorow, the 5th, aka Batty, to regress into a baby dragon, sealing much of his powers and memories in the process. This act also has profound effects on Guppy, her own magic is now crazily changed in ways no one, least of all her, understands. Guppy is suddenly plunged into a world of mystery, intrigue and politics, where everyone either wants to control, or eliminate her. Armed with little but her courage and unpredictable newfound magic how will she survive and protect herself and those she loves when everyone from techno radicals, magic purists, politicians and guttersnipes are out to get her. And those may be the least of her problems if Batty's fragmented memories are any indicator.
