David must cultivate to transform his body from salesman to warrior: he does so through cultivation, battle, and leveling up. With these external changes, come internal ones. Cultivation is about internal and external change and growth: body cultivation and spiritual cultivation. Internal and external alchemy in the xianxia tradiition!
