Chapter 10: World Boss update and bad luck

An announcement made by Unicorn Corp. made everyone happy, and scared, at the same time. Air filled with suspense, as the update was launched and completed. They hinted at new bosses called "World Bosses," and that there would be over 20 different World Bosses. Each are unique monsters, with unknown levels, and unknown HP. No details aside from that. There can only be one World Boss of each respected type out in the world at each time. However, what excited users was the fact that they can spawn anywhere in Royal Road, at any given time. The scary part was, they most likely would need a Raid party to beat them, and they are highly intelligent. They could even come up with counter-plans to stratagem used on them.

When players heard this, a good amount accused Unicorn Corp. of sending in staff to play as OP monsters. However, they assured us that isn't the case.

*Meanwhile, back to our party*

The trip started like any other, selling off japtem from monsters, PKers, and bandit NPCs, as well as getting necessary food, ingredients, spices, water, apple juice for Anya, and an extra tent.

Meanwhile, while the boys shop and sell off loot and secure supplies, Anya has been latched onto Artemis this whole time, chatting with her, which was a weird feeling for Artemis, but both have been together so long they treat each other as family, so this feeling of awkwardness poofed fast.

The girls kept chatting away happily until.... our luck had to kick in...

???: "Hey! You over there! Aren't you 『 The Goddess Of The Hunt 』? "

???[2]: "OH MY GAWD it is! I can't believe I got to see 『 The Goddess Of The Animals 』 here!"

??? [Everyone]: "How did you get your skills?!" "How did you get so strong?!" "tell me how to dragon plox!" "give me your autograph" "Marry ME!"

Yeavon: "AGENT! GET THE GIRLS OUT OF HERE! I'LL BLOCK THEM!"

Agent: "WILL DO! Be careful!"

Anya: "W-will it be alright to leave him on his own?"

Artemis: "What if he gets hurt?!?"

Agent: "You don't have to worry about him...He's stupidly broken OP.... don't tell him I told you this, but he's a 『 Unique Class 』 called Holy Juggernaut."

Anya: " Holy Juggernut?" Anya accidentally messes up his class name and bites her tongue in the process

Agent sighs inwardly, thinking "SOOOO CUTTTE" but his face was that of a expert poker player, and didn't show any outward change, contrary to his inner fangirling.

Agent: "No, no. Not Juggernut, but Juggernaut. A Juggernaut is basically a huge, powerful, and overwhelming force....Basically, nothing here will be able to stop him.... the downside is: he's slow as fuck."

Yeavon: "*Sneezes* Someone must be talking about me ugh"

Yeavon: 〚AGENT SUMMON ME NOW!〛[Authors note anything like this in the future means PMing/Whispering]

Agent: " >"

Summon Capsules are largely unheard of, but that is only because the only one in the game that can make them is Eveechan, who is one of the Guild Masters of Hired Heroes. As the name implies, it lets you summon a teammate to your location, regardless of distance, if they accept.

Yeavon: ">"

A Bright light surrounds Yeavon. He totally fades out from the location he was at, similar to if he logged out, which users assumed he did, and left. While some decided to camp that spot, so when Yeavon logged in, they would force him to tell them the location of my teammates. Sadly for them, he didn't log out, nor would they succeed in getting him to talk.

Yeavon appears in front of Agent, as if he was always there, leaving Anya and Artemis stuck with open mouths, wondering what the hell had just happened. However, decided not to question it.

Agent turns around, and starts to get ready to continue on the path, when a loud "THUDDDD" could be heard

Then the ground started to shake, causing all but Yeavon to fall on their asses.

Yeavon: "GET READY! Whatever made that sound, I doubt it's friendly!"

And then all hell broke loose....

They all hear a loud "GWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR". It sounded too dull, too deep, to be from a human. In the distance they see a GIANT stone Golem that had a round body, similar to that of a boulder.

Yeavon: "Agent, I'm gonna use the guild mass summon pot!"

Agent: "OK! Leave it to me! I'll make sure if it starts walking over it don't interrupt the summoning"

Hired Heroes Guild Chat:

Yeavon: We found a World Boss. It's a giant Golem. We need some backup! I'm about to use a guild mass summon pot.

Tenks: I'll be ready by the time it's done

Eveechan: Won't take me long to be ready

Nibor: I'm down.

agentXshadow: Seems we're the only ones on at this time. I'm already here, guarding Yeavon during the summon. It will be ready soon.

Shortly after, all 3 guild leaders had the same message appear in front of them

DING

User Yeavon has used a wide-scale teleportation spell to Request your presence.

Do you accept?

Nibor, Eevee, and Tenks: "Yes! >

Flashes of light appear all around Yeavon, as the spell concludes. From the flashes of light come Nibor, Eveechan, and Tenks.

Eveechan: "So, I'm guessing that big monstrosity is what made you call for backup?"

Nibor: "Seems like fun"

Tenks: "Add us to party, then we can think of a plan for the big guy"

Player Anya has requested you to join her party

Do you accept?

After accepting the party invites, they get ready for one hell of a fight.

Before anyone has any chance to reply, or ask how we are going to fight something like that, the Golem sucks its hands into its body, then sucks its feet and head in, and starts to rapidly roll at us.

Yeavon curses at the golem with a chaotic grin on his face. He pulls out his shield, but leaves his sword sheathed, and takes a stance. The golem continues to roll at all of them. The girls try to run, but everyone from Hired Heroes stays still, confusing the girls even more.

Anya: "WHY THE HELL ARE YOU ALL JUST STANDING THERE?! WE'VE GOT TO MOVE!"

Agent: "Because we don't need to move."

Yeavon: "> > >"

Everyone watches as the golem rolls closer and closer, until it impacts Yeavon, who seems quite amused, as he flings the 100+ ton golem into the air with little effort, due to using its powerful roll and only lifting it up enough to use the shield as a ramp, and angled it so it would fly like a rocket into the sky.

A Loud THUMMMMMM is heard, as the golem loses 30% of its massive HP just like that. [Authors note: Fall damage's a bitch even more so if your stupidly heavy]
