Chapter 2: First Login Part 2

The "goons," as she so deemed fit to call them, were all laughing. Seemingly amused to have just kicked a cat across the room, one of the onlookers, a girl by the name of Mindy spoke up towards the four goons.

Mindy: "Hey! Leave that poor cat alone. How can you be so content picking on a cat?!"

Goon Leader: "Shut up, little girl! I do what I want!" (Author Note: typical low class villain material right here....)

The loud noises prompted the attention of the training hall instructor that went into the back to get a replacement scarecrow and a few replacement wooden weapons for new adventurers and was absolutely pissed at what he seen by the time he walked in all he saw was Artemis barely standing up meowing lowly in pain 4 idiots laughing and a girl yelling at them it didn't take rocket science to figure out what happened

Goon Leader: "Now where was I?..... Ah yes, forgot to kill off that mob I recently punted! Gonna finish that off real quick, and then I'll deal with the smart-ass... wait what...?!? When did the training hall get so far away?... and why do I feel....cold?"

*A few seconds earlier*

Right after he said he punted Artemis, the training instructor lost it. He charged at the youth, and by the time he reached them he had just finished calling one of his pupils a smart-ass. He used all the strength he had in a palm strike to send him flying. The last anyone saw of him before he turned grey and poofed was a blood splatter on the wall adjacent to the training, hall across the street.

At this point, goons two through four had similar reactions. Some attempted to run. It was futile. The only goon that had a different reaction was the last goon. He fell to the floor, passed out from the shock of seeing his real life friend killed so vividly.

The training instructor quickly went over to Artemis to see if she was okay. After a light check over, he sat down on a bench nearby so he could make sure that that doesn't happen again. After the day ended he decided to award her with all the stats she would’ve gained from clearing the training hall as a apology, because something like that shouldn't happen on his watch. He also handed her a hard iron set of short swords, because he knows she will be able to use them when she gets her transformation ability unlocked. The reason he handed her a weapon without asking, is he knew it would fit her best out of all the weapons he had, due to her innate gifts, being a cat and all.

Artemis: "Interesting, but why is my int and wisdom so high?! Maybe my skills will show me why?" she thought.

So Artemis did what any reasonable person would do.... she attempted to find out why her stats got inflated.

Artemis: "Well that makes more sense now.... I guess I'll log out now for a catnap. Logout!"

After Artemis left her custom pod, she noticed every scientist, technician, and board member was slack jawed, with an "O" shaped mouth. She noticed they were watching her playback recording. She didn't know what was such a big deal nor did she care all she knew is she got more treats that day than most cats do in a month.... "Ahh, life is good," she thought.
