Hello. This is my first ever story, let alone fanfic! I've never had the urge to write before. When I first came to this website, its stories made me wish to contribute my own. I cannot promise that I will update this regularly, but I'll write when i have time. Also, I have not read the original LMS, so as to locations and town names ect I will take my own liberties. So, just think of this as "Royal Road 2" or something. Also, I will try to make as few mistakes as possible, but most likely I will not pay attention, nor care about capitalizing "i," nor will I really pay attention to punctuation I'll try. I really will, but I'm lazy by nature ,so I'm sorry in advance.

Prolog:

One year after RoyalRoad was released by Unicorn Corp, the technicians employed at there wanted to test the limits of virtual reality. Specifically, if beings other than humans could use it, and how they would react. However, the mass-produced VR capsule on the market at the time couldn't be used for this. So, they decided to use an older model of a VR capsule. One that was discontinued due to cost requirements, since this one used the user's brainwaves rather than iris and vein scan.

After a long debate on what they would use to test this theory, the biggest stockholder's daughter paid a visit along with her father for a regularly scheduled board/investors meeting, and asked if her cat, Artemis, could be used in the test. Since they had nothing better in mind in regards to a test subject, they agreed. However, there were 3 conditions: the animal had to stay within the testing facility they set up, they would have to not hold them liable for anything that may happen to Artemis, and her owner cannot meet her nor help her in game until she was at least level 300. All stipulations seemed fair, until they heard the last one. The daughter, Anya, complained about wanting to play with her cat, but they told her it was so they can watch how she handles the situations without a crutch to lean on.

Hesitantly, she agreed and said farewell to Artemis for the meantime.
