《A Journey Through the Worlds.》098: Insects Attacks.

"Yes it is, it's just that the people from our tribe like to call it English, and they don't leave the tribe a lot so they think that it is called English by the rest of the world too." Dan explained with a smile, and then he said as he tried to change the subject:
"So how did you learn it?"
"I liked traveling when I was young so one time I found myself there and I had to learn it so I can live there " the old man said with a smile on his face, he appeared as if he was remembering something.
"Anyway I'm really interested in you and your journey so can you tell me some things about you and what are you looking for I might be of help to you." The old man woke up from his memories and he said that.
"As I said we are just a group of travelers, we actually made it here just today, the journey was quite hard but as I see the place here I think it was worth it, it's way better than the place we came from after all, as for what we want we're just traveling and seeing the world, nothing much." Dan said, mixing truths and lies.
"Yeah, traveling have its own taste... Anyway welcome to our village, please rest and stay as long as you want, but..." after they talked for a while more the old man finally said with a smile, but it soon changed to a serious one as he said seriously:
"... You should all know that right now our village isn't doing well."Hearing his words Dan showed an interested expression as he remembered what he saw when he entered the village, the villagers worried expressions and their wounds, ever since he entered the village he felt that something wasn't right, and he was finally going to know about it.
"Can you please tell me what's wrong?" He asked in a composed voice.
"The reason of that is the new longer durations of the day, because the days became longer the internal cycle of the night creatures was messed up and when the night finally comes they would turn to besarkers, they would loss all their senses and they would start attacking everything that moves, usually that wouldn't have anything to do with us but thing changed." Talking till here the old man stopped and looked at Dan to see if he was still with him, seeing the latter nod he continued:
"As you see those that go Berserker are usually those strong insects which most f the other normal creature in the forest have no chance of going against, so some of the insects had been leaving the center of the forest and heading our way, our little village wasn't ready for that, as usually because of pur location we don't get attacked that much by the insects, but now because of this we are having a lot of sleepless night."

"You were able to hold on till now?" Dan asked, going against the insect would be quite hard for such a small village like that.
"Of course the forest didn't turn to a living hell in a single day, it took a while for the damage to reach us, and fortunately till now all the insects which appeared aren't that strong, right now we can only wish and hope that things would get better by time." The old man shook his head hopelessly.
"Then why did you tell us this, do you want us to leave or...?" Dan asked after he turned silent for a while.
"Well you can take it however you want, I just wanted you to know that we aren't that safe either, so if you want you can start moving and go to another village, after all there's still around a day of sun light and that would be enough for you to reach a village or a city, or you can stay and help us in the next fight." the old man explained what he said with a smile.
He was interested about Dan's group of four, they all didn't seem that strong but Alexander said that two of them were at least as strong as him, and not to mention how he talked about them knowing about the location of the insect just like that somehow.
Their town needed some strong people and they needed them soon, after all each time night came the insects were getting stronger, and having to suffer more then a day of darkness was simply torture, he also understood, just like some other people in the village, that they wouldn't be able to hold on for long.
"What about the city that you are under, shouldn't they send help?" Dan asked.
Usually small villages like this one would have a city above them, and they would have to send it somethings like prays and insects materials to be used as shield and swords, and in exchange they would be under the protection of the said city, so whenever there's a strong insect or a big danger to the village the city would send some strong hunters to deal with it, so Dan found it weird how there was no reinforcement coming to the small village from the city that was above it.
"We did ask for reinforcements, and they were going to send some, but unfortunately when The Gray Fog happened, The city Lord and most of his family members disappeared, and till now they have no idea where they are, so we got somehow forgotten as they are dealing with their own problems"The old man sighed as he shook his head.
Seeing that and hearing what he said Dan asked in confusion:

"They disappeared? Just like that?"
"Yes no one knows what really happened to them, anyway, that's aside, what do you think are you going or not? We would really appreciate it if you stayed."
"We will think about that later, now we are quite tired can you please get us some place to rest for a little." Dan said, he didn'tmake a decision just like that and he decided that he would need to ask Nero and the others, possibly even the people at the ship.
"Ok, Alexander go get them a place to rest and make sure that one would annoy them."
"I will, here follow me." Alexander said and left the room.
Dan and the other three then payed farewell to the old man before leaving the house walking behind Alexander who led them toward a house which wasn't much different then the one that the old chief or any other person in the village used, it only seemed a bit dusty, as if it had been neglected for a long time without care or an owner.
Alexander didn't stay after they reached this new house of theirs and instead he left soon after, he seemed in a hurry, Dan thought that as the leader of the hunters in the village he most be very busy so he didn't try stopping him to ask about things in the village and the forest around them.
After he left Dan turned his head to the people with him and asked:
"So what now? We already found a village and we are sure that there are others close by, but what should we do now? Should we stay here for a little bit before finally leaving or should we go to another one that is furthered away from this one before settling down to collect information, and most of all... Are we going to search for a place to settle in, a place where we can make a village or a little town and live?"
Because they didn't expect that they would make it to the new Area that fast they hadn't talked about what they would do yet, and as it happened and they found themselves in this world they were still a little bit confused about all what was happening and what they should do.
"We should stay here for a bit, that way we will understand the place around here, this village is small and they have their own problems right now so I doubt that they would care about us, but another village might not be like this." Robin said after a period of silent.
"We should also send Robin back to tell everyone there that we are safe and that we have found a village to stay at for now, and just tell them to stay in the ship and stay safe." Katherine said.
"Ok we will stay here for now, but not now let us wait till everyone falls asleep then Robin can teleport and we can talk about everything else there." Dan nodded, then he looked at the outside from window and sighed as he saw the sunny weather and the sun which was still in the middle of the sky:
"Even though it is supposed to be close to night the sun is still shining brightly."
"We will have to sleep with the sun still out, this will be a little bit hard." Nero said.
Inside Barbarossa even when it was sunny outside, inside it, the place would be quite dark so they used to sleep normally.
"I can handle it, after all it will be the first time in a while for us to sleep on something solid and not that rocking ship." Katherine said, for her the movement of the ship were extremely annoying, she was glad that she was going to sleep on the floor for the first time in a while as it was something she had been looking for.
"Well I can't say I wasn't looking forward to this." Dan said with a smile.
They didn't have to waiting long before they were asked by the village chief to come and have dinner with him.
Of course they accepted his invitation and they were joined by Alexander and the hot blooded youth, they learned at that time that Alexander was the old man's son and that the hot blooded youth name was Boris, and he was Alexander's son.
In that dinner they talked about a lot of things, the old man's group were quite interested in Dan and the others journey and they asked them a lot of questions, fortunately Dan was able to answer all of them without making them doubt anything, while also keeping their mean of transportation vague so if they ever chose to stay there he would tell them about the ship and everyone on it without appearing as if he was lying a lot.
He also asked them about what types of insects were in the forest, saying that there might be a different between the ones in his area and the ones there.
Alexander and the old man told him about all what he wanted to know after all what he asked for wasn't a secret at.

GLADIUS // Eret X Reader
PHANTASM SERIES BOOK 4---Gladius, (noun): (in ancient Rome) a short sword.---Eret perked up as soon as you and Simon walked into the room, a wide and welcoming smile coming onto his face. He was softer looking than his father had been, but you could still see some of the similar traits. He had a head of thick dark curls, and the same sharp jaw that his father had had. He wasn't as bulky though - he was tall and thin - and his face was a lot more open. What separated him most from his father's likeness though was the colorful cape, and the large mirrored glasses he wore - swirling with colors reflected from the room. He stood from his seat when Maven let the doors swing shut behind her, that wide smile still on his face. "You must be the embassy.""And you must be King Eret." You said, stooping into a bow. "Oh, there's no need for that." Eret said as you rose from your bow. He stepped down from the dias where his throne sat - colorful cape trailing behind him - and came to stand in front of you, taking your hand instead. "I'm not really one for formalities." He grinned, shaking your hand. His palm was warm against yours, and you could feel some slight callouses - most likely from practicing his sword work.
