《A Journey Through the Worlds.》089: Disappearing (2).

There was only one village that seemed like the one that they were in and that village was 30 km away from them.
The wizards and warriors from Area 12 on the other side were quite surprised when there troops finally made it to the Shore Side Village and they didn't find any trace of the unknown invaders who appeared out of nowhere.
They didn't understand what happened to them, wether if they returned to wherever they came from or if they simply hid in some place when they saw them coming.
So in the end they could only send some of their scouts to search in the surrounding areas and see what was there, but they weren't able to find anything.
In the end and with a lot of confusion they returned to the academy after letting a few people there to keep watch while not understanding where those invaders had gone to.
After they made it back the Headmaster asked for a message to be released to all the villages in a reduce of one hundred km away from the shore side village asking them to ask from their scouts and hunters to keep an eye on anything weird that might happen around them and to send a message back if they got suspicious about any thing
The high leveled wizards and warriors were surprised about that, they didn't understand why their Headmaster was putting so much importance on those invaders, but they still sent those messages as they couldn't go against what he said at all.
Yet t wasn't till ten days later that they got a massage saying that in a village which was around a hundred km away from the Shore Side Village where those invaders first appeared, a hunter was following a prey when he saw some people wearing weird outfits and talking in a language he had never heard before, passing by.
He was lucky because the prey he was following alarmed them and he had time to hide and they weren't able to notice him.
As soon as he Headmaster got a hold of that information he asked for the army to be gathered again, and for them to head there as fast as possible.
And just like that four hours later the army left the academy toward the place where their enemy was.
The soldiers of Area 05 discovered the army moving toward them soon enough, and general Schmidt asked from his soldiers to get ready.
The army of the people from Area 12 had around 15000 soldiers, there was around ten thousands warriors and five thousand wizards, it was quite a big army and that showed how much important the Headmaster put into dealing with those invaders.
The first battle between the two happened a day later, the fight was long and hard and in the end both sides took great losses, but the side that come out victorious was still the side of Area 12 as the people from Area 05 were still not used to the tactics and weird spells used by the wizards which made the fight quite hard for them.

But that didn't mean that the people from Area 12 didn't suffer as they too lost a lot of people and they had a hard time getting used to the weapons of the people from Area 05 and if not for them using their protective spells they would have suffered a lot more than the people from Area 05.
Anyway, after that they had another couple of fights and in each one of them both sides became more and more familiar with what the other side had and what they used in their battles.
That day they were having their fourth battle.
Karl was holding his weapon and aiming at a warrior on the over side who was running toward them, after all those days he got familiar with the warriors and wizards of Area 12 and seeing a big man with shining blue tattoos running toward him was a normal thing for him by than.
He also became able to understand a few small things that could help him, like how the tattoo represented what type of power the warrior had, like how if the warrior had a tattoo of wind or a cloud that would mean that he was faster and more flexible then he other warriors, also the number of tattoo which can be activated at the same time can show how strong a warrior is and what level he was at, and there was the location of a tattoo as there was some tattoo which would have different affects depending on their location.
Like how if a wind tattoo was in the legs it would make the warrior faster while if it was in his hands it would make his attack speed faster, and just like that the same concept can be used on the other tattoo.
The people from Area 05 also understood that each warrior could only use six tattoos, or at least that was what they had met till that point in time.
That wasn't something he came up with alone, instead it was a combination of what the army come up with from torturing warriors and from the combined wisdome that the soldiers shards between each there from what they noticed and understood during the fights.
He was going to take that warrior down when he suddenly saw the later stop and show a surprised panicked expression as he started taking steps back before turning around and running back toward his side.
Karl was confused about what was happening so he turned his head behind him and what he saw was the unbelievable scene of a wave of gray fog coming toward them.
Everyone on the battlefield was surprised they all stopped what they were doing and started looking at what was coming toward them.
And soon they were covered by the gray fog.
At first both sides were afraid thinking that it was an attack from their enemies, because none of them totally understood the other side that much.
Yet it didn't take them long to understand that whatever was happening had no relationship with any of them as both of them seemed surprised and confused, that did calm them down but only for a little while, because soon after that they become afraid about what that gray fog might be and what was going to happene.

Karl was afraid about what was happening but he still did his best to calm himself down and then he lifted his gun and got ready for whatever was coming towards him, he didn't want to be surprised by an enemy and killed while he was in a state of confusion.
But just as he did he heard a soft sound coming from the other side, because of the fog he wasn't able to see what was happening but he was sure that he heard something its just that he didn't hear it well and wasn't sure of whatever was happening.
But soon enough as he was doing his best to hear what was happening on the other side he heard the same sound again, it was the sound of something falling to the ground, and as he was listening he heard other sounds like that before finally he heard shouts from the other side, those shouts stayed for around a minute or so before finally they disappeared totally.
Karl wasn't the only one who heard that as many of his friends and leaders were able to hear them and they all were confused and started looking at each other asking for an explanation. yet no one was able to give them one.
Thinking that something must have happened on the other side. Karl struggled for a little bit before finally deciding on something and taking a step forward.
A friend of his was next to him and he got so surprised by what his friend did that he shouted at him in a lowerd voice:
"Karl what are you doing, come back here do you want to die?"
Karl didn't answer him he just turned his head to his friend and put his finger on his lips asking from him to stay silent before turning around and going on his way.
He walked carefully making sure that he didn't make any sound at all while keeping an eye over what was happening around him.
After a minute of walking like that, he finally saw the first enemy soldier, he was a wizard, and he was laying on the ground unconscious, there was no signs of him being wounded at all and just a few feet away from him there was another warrior who had lost his consciousness, and just like the wizard he too didn't have any signs of wounds on him at all.
Karl was confused as he didn't understand what could have possibly made them fall unconscious, he thought that the Gray Fog which appeared out of nowhere was probably the reason, but he wasn't sure, because he and everyone from his side were still good and only those people from Area 12 were unconscious.
He was looking at the wizard while thinking about all of this, and then suddenly he flinched as if he saw something from the corner of his eye, turning his head hurriedly he didn't see anything.
No he totally didn't see anything there, even the warrior who he was sure was there before had disappeared into thin air leaving nothing behind him.
He got afraid as he thought about what was possibly happening around him so he took a few steps back while looking around him, and because he was a little bit afraid he tripped by the wizard who was still unconscious.
He fall to the ground with his feet on top of the wizard who was still unconscious, and as he was trying to get up he felt something weird, he started feeling as if he was losing consciousness.
He look around him and he saw that everything was getting darker and darker, he somehow understood that whatever happened to the people from Area 12 was also happening to him.
That only made him more terrified as he didn't understand what his fate was going to be, in his last seconds and just before losing consciousness he saw something like a black hole appear right above him, that black hole seemed as if it was a tear in space.
After it's appearance it started getting closer and closer to him, till finally he lost consciousness before that black hole could reach him...
Karl's friend was anxiously waiting for him from his position, he didn't understand why would Karl take that risk and go to the enemy side, and what was worst was that he wasn't able to see anything because of the gray fog which suddenly appeared out of nowhere, so all what he could do was just stay like that while waiting for him to return.
Unfourtunatly Karl didn't return no matter how long he waited, but just as he lost hope and thought that he would never see his friend again, everyone there got new orders, and they were astonished.
What those orders asked them to do was for their three squads to move forward and see what was happening in the side of the enemies as they weren't able to hear anything from them, and he was in one of the squads which were asked to go and see what was happening.
He was afraid and panicked, especially after he saw that Karl didn't return after he had gone there, yet he couldn't do anything as an order was an order and he could only hope that nothing wrong would happen to them as he move forward.
Fortunately nothing happened to them, but they did find something weird, what the found was that all their enemies disappeared for some reason, they all just vanished, and with them was Karl who left to see what happened a while ago.
After they searched all the area where their enemies were without finding anything they finally returned to their side and told their leaders about their findings.
