"Do you think we are getting closer, I mean for how many days we still need to pass?" Robin asked again after a short moment of silence.

The question he asked was in the hearts of everyone there, they all wished for the ship to finally make it to their destination for no other reason but how they couldn't handle the life at the ocean anymore, it wasn't that they reached their limit it was just that they were getting closer to it.

"I think that we are close, just a few more days, probably after a week or so we will finally see land… or I that's what I wish as I'm not that sure." Dan didn't answer directly instead he thought for a little bit before saying that.

Actually he understood what the people on the ship were feeling, after all he too was like them, the only different between him, the six and the others was that the latter weren't one hundred percent sure about the existence of the other Areas, and even though they were acting as if they existed there must be some of them who were having second thoughts by that time, after they spent so much time in the ocean.

"we can only hope that we would make it as fast as possible, after all there are some people who won't be able to hold on for much longer." Robin said while sighing and shaking his head.

As they were talking about all of that, Dan suddenly saw something weird in the distant horizon and it was getting closer and closer at an astonishing speed, at first it was only noticed by him but then as it got closer and closer everyone in the surface of the ship was able to notice it.

Robin was the first to voice it out as he in an uneasy voice:

"Dan, what is that?"

"It seems... Like fog...?" Dan said uncertainly, as what he saw did really seem like fog but it also didn't.

"That's fog? Are you serious, you are seeing the same thing that I'm seeing right?" Robin asked as he kept in looking at what was heading toward them, at that time it had covered most of the sky ahead of them leaving nothing to see except gray color.

The thing that Dan saw seemed like a wave of gray fog, at first it seemed just like a gray line in the far distance and that was what Dan saw, but then as he looked closer he saw that the gray fog was getting closer to them at an astonishing speed and it seemed that It was covering everything in its path leaving nothing apparent.

And It was at that moment that Robin noticed it, as it had become apparent for everyone in the surface of the ship, and it was only at that moment when it got that close to them that they truly understood how fast it was going, its speed was astonishing and the rate at which it was covering the sky was unbelievable.

It also gave quite un intimidating feeling for everyone there as some of them started shouting while others started trying to hide inside the ship.

Hearing the commotion on the top of the ship Nero, Randy, Katherine, Leonard, and Anie who had little Ru with her came.

They all wanted to know what was happening on there but as they stood there and finally saw the gray fog which was heading toward them at an astonishing speed none of them could understand what was happening and they froze there in shock.

A short while after they stood there frozen Randy finally broke the silence as he asked in an astonishing voice:

"Dan what's happening, what's that fog?" His question made all the others turn their heads toward Dan awaiting his answer, after all he seemed as if he always had the answer to everything no matter how weird it seemed to them.

But unfortunately that time he didn't live up to their expectations as he said while shaking his head:

"I don't know..."

What Dan and his teammates didn't know was that they weren't the only ones who were in a state of shock at that moment, as every Area and every piece of New Earth was gray.

They weren't really gray but they were covered by the Gray Fog, if anyone saw New Earth from outer space at that moment they would see that it had turned to a planet with a gray surface with no hint of another color at all, it was as if someone painted the whole New Earth with gray, it gave quite a ghostly weird and horrifying feeling to whoever saw it.

There was no indication of anything wrong before the Gray Fog appeared, everything was normal and people all over New Earth were living their lives normally, yet in just a few moment every corner of New Earth got covered with that Gray Fog, what was weirder is that no one or thing was able to feel it.

Not the seven Gods of Area 02, the sensors and readers in Area 01, the Grandmasters in Area 12, the Barbarian Kings from Area 15, the Reapers from Area 16, nor any strong entity or strong device in any corner of New Earth, it was as if the Gray Fog was something neither humans nor any existence in the new earth was meant and able to feel.

The appearance of the gray fog made a big mess in every Area of New Earth as no one was expecting it; it was so mysterious that even Adam wasn't able to see it coming.

Area 01: the east side of Australia:

The seven Gods were all together talking about the war and what happened in the last battles.

The first to talk was Athena as she said:

"The enemies are getting harder and harder to fight, our soldiers won't be able to hold on like this, we all saw it right, their weapons are evolving and they are making them better for fighting us, even their soldiers are getting used to our abilities and soon enough we might make it to a point where we won't be able to hold on, another important thing that we should take into conciliation is that our enemies are using unmanned machines to fight us, so while we are losing are soldiers and manpower their stat isn't as bad as us."

Hearing her words the faces of everyone there changed a little bit as they all understood those points which she mentioned, and they were on their minds all the time, yet they didn't know what to say or do, as they were already in the midst of a war and they couldn't stop the fights just like that, not when they had lost so much of their soldiers and how Area 01 was still going to do a surprise attack on them soon.

"Athena what you said is somehow true but you shouldn't believe that their soldiers aren't the only ones who are getting used to our abilities and our weapons, even our soldiers are getting used to their machines and tactics, and even though the other points are somehow true we can still deal with them, and they do have solutions." Adam said.

Athena seemed as if she wanted to say sorting but then Adam stood up in a hurry and the chair under him fall making everyone there look at him in confusion.

"Adam what's wrong, what did you see?" understanding the reason of his action Lucas asked as he also stood up wanting to know what Adam saw that would make him act like that.

"It's happening..." that was all what Adam said as an answer, making Lucas and the others inside the building quite confused.

"What do you mean, what's happening?" Carlos said.

"The surprise attack is happening soon, in ten minutes or so it will happen." Adam finally explained what he had just said to the still confused onlookers.

A surprised expression appeared on the faces of everyone inside the room as they didn't expect him to say that then, and say that it was only ten minutes or so away, as usually Adam would have been able to feel it much sooner:

"What's with this reaction of yours I thought that it was something more important even if it is happening what does that have to do with us, didn't we already send Ethan there, I done think that we have to worry about that he will probably deal with whatever might happen, we should take care about what's happening here first." Lana said after she heard his words, she totally lost interest in whatever he said as she thought that something like that isn't really that important.

"Of course I know that, it's just that there's something weird about all of this..." Adam said.

"Something weird what do you mean." Lucas said, amongst the seven Gods he was the one with the most trust and respect for Adam so he took whatever he said into consideration.

"First I felt it way to late, to only be able to feel it ten minutes before it happened it's the first them it happened, and also I somehow feel that it wasn't a surprise attack, the attackers seem... Confused and panicked." Adam said.

'confused panicked' his words made everyone there look at each other with questioning expressions they didn't understand how would attackers be confused and panicked, it was confusing to say the least and they started understanding why Adam acted that way.

First it was how he wasn't able to feel it earlier and then what he saw also wasn't rational making him question his ability which wasn't something any of the Gods should do, but of course that only lasted for a few seconds and he soon returned to normal as he started explaining and thinking about what all that meant.

It was at that moment, and while they were all in a state of confusion, they heard shouts of surprise coming from the outside and then one of the soldiers entered running with panic written all over his face.

"What is it, are the people from Area 01 attacking?" Athena asked as she stood up.

"I don't know you have to see it for yourselves." the soldier said as he tried to calm down.

The stood in their places frozen in confusion as they thought about what might be happening before leaving the room to see what was happening outside.

After they left the building the first thing that caught their attention was the crowd of people looking at the west with different expressions, there were some who had panicked expressions others had excited, and some stood there awaiting what was coming.

And then the seven Gods looked at the west side to see what caught the attention of the people there, and then they saw it.

A mass of fog that seemed like a huge wave heading toward them in an astonishing speed, it was quite a horrifying picture for everyone there to see, especially as they knew that they won't be able to run from it.

"What is that?" Finally it was Lucas who broke the silence by asking that question to the other six Gods.

"I don't know, even though I'm looking at it my ability isn't showing anything about it to me, this is weird it is the first time something like this is happening." Adam said while shaking his head.

"I also can't feel anything from it, but I don't think it's poisonous." Snake said after a while passed.

His words made everyone there release breaths of relief, Snake was the one with the most accomplishment when it comes to poison and things like that so hearing him say that it wasn'tt poisonous made them relaxes, at the very least one of the worst cases that they thought about wasn't true.
