The cowardly looking man left to got old Frank and told him about what the one eyed dragon said.
Old Frank didn't show any unwillingness on his face when he heard that, he just nodded his head to Patrick! and headed out, which left the cowardly looking man quite disappointed as he wanted to see old Frank's terrified and unwilling expression.
When they appeared on the ground again the cowardly looking man happily pointed the direction where Dan and the others left to...
They were surprised to find that Dan and the others hadn't gone far away and were just setting under a half destroyed building.
Looking at old Frank and seeing the faint trace of disappointment on his eyes, the cowardly looking man wanted to move forward and shout at them to come with him, but he was stopped by Patrick.
At that time Dan and the others were looking at them.
Stopping four meters away from them, Patrick looked at Anie and Katherine with lustful impolite eyes, he didn't turn his eyes from them till Dan and the others stood in front of them shielding them from him.
He looked at Dan and the others with an annoyed expressing before saying:
"My boss the one eyed dragon wants those two girls." Patrick said highly while pointing at Anie and Katherine, before turning his head toward Dan and the other four and saying:
"You five on the other hand can go after fighting this idiot here on a one on one, whoever win will get to leave while those how loss shall die." he pointed at old Frank when he mentioned the 'idiot'.
"this will be your punishment for putting your nose in what has no good for you." he added while patting old Frank's shoulder.
"Such a good luck, just now we were wandering how to inter the base, and how many people are there, who would have thought that just as we wanted to sleep someone would send us a pillow, such a good luck." Nero said with a dark smile.
They were just wandering about the number of fighters inside the base and what kind of weapons they were using, when suddenly Nero said that three people were leave the base and coming toward them, making them quite happy.
"What do you mean with that?" being a cautious person since the beginning, the cowardly looking man asked while retreating three steps back.
"What could they mean, you, idiot hurry up go, let me see a good show." Patrick on the other hand didn't care about what Nero said, as he didn't feel any blood power from anyone among them which made him relax.
He simply didn't believe that normal people can do anything to him, as that was the reason why the one eyed dragon sent only him and the other two against four healthy men.
"Pay attention to that man he's weird, there's something wrong about him." for one second, Nero was able to catch the smell of a dragon on that man, it was faint and appeared for only a second but he was able to smell it.

"Be careful we can't make a mistake here, Katherine you know what to do" Dan said.
Katherine nodded her head and aimed the lifted her bow pointing it in the direction of the three men.
Seeing her lift a Bow with no arrow on it and pointing it at them, Patrick smiled and wanted to mock her, but then he saw that an arrow started appearing from thin air he, got shocked which made him stay in his place for a few seconds giving Katherine enough time to release her arrow.
Patrick was surprised when he saw the arrow flying toward him and cursed himself for freezing that easily and losing his focus for a second.
But then he saw that the arrow's trajectory wasn't going to hit any of them, making him want to laugh, he lifted his head wanting to mock her, but seeing the smile on the faces of the men next to her, and the sudden feeling of danger he had, he shouted 'not good' in his mind and tried to move away.
He didn't know what was wrong but seeing how the arrow appeared out of thin air he wasn't going to stay there and see what was going to happen when that arrow hit the ground, unfortunately, it was already too late for him.
A lightning web covered a reduce of three meters from where the arrow fall as the centre, and shocked the three man, the lightning web didn't last long just a few seconds but it made the three men fall down unconscious, or that what Dan and the other thought when they saw the three man fall but...
"What the f***k was that?" a voice come from Patrick as he struggled to get up.
"Careful there's something really weird about him, he have the smell of a dragon on his body, and it's getting stronger by the second." Nero warned the others as he saw that.
"Katherine shoot him again." Leonard shouted at Katherine he felt as if he was facing a beast when he saw Patrick getting up slowly.
"O... Ok" saying that Katherine picked a leave with a shaky hand and started pulling the string of the bow with it.
"As it I will fall for that again." with a roar Patrick throw himself at Dan and the others while staying away from Katherine's aim.
Patrick was fast giving them no time to act he first jumped to the left and waved his hand, hitting Leonard and throwing him into the air, he did it effortlessly as if he just throw a doll and not a full grown man.
After that he lifted his hand and did the same to Dan, but What he saw after he throw Dan was Randy pointing a plasma gun at his head with just a few centimeters between the muzzle and his head, with no time to avoid he took a clean hit to the head sending him two meters back, with his shattered head painting a beautiful picture of white and red.

"Are you two alright?" After making sure that Patrick was died, Randy moved toward Dan and Leonard to see how they were doing.
"I'm good don't worry, in worst case possible I will end up with a few bruises for the next few days." Dan said while getting up.
"Same here." Leonard added.
"Good, but just what was that, don't you have in your mind any memories about that." Nero asked Dan while looking at the lifeless body of Patrick.
"No, you see the memories that I have are just for a few years after dragons appeared on this world so I don't know a lot of things about this world, it's the same as how you can only remember the old models of cars, time moved I don't know reverything." Dan said while shaking his head, and then added:
"But those two should now, Katherine you should go and take a look at them especially old Frank his a good man don't let him die."
"Ok" saying that she left to take a look at the two.
"How are you? Do you need any help." while Katherine left to take a look at unconscious two Dan sat down to tack a little rest, and while he was setting he heard a soft gentle voice next to him.
Turning his head he saw Anie looking at him questioningly.
"Yeah I'm alright, more important how is your brother."
"Katherine said that he is getting better and that he might wake up any minute now, thanks for asking."
"What about you how are you doing, we moved a lot today are you alright." seeing her pale face he couldn't stop himself from asking her that question.
"Yeah I'm good, I can still push further don't worry." she said with a faint smile.
"Old Frank is good he won't be suffering from any major injuries, you can say that he is lucky he was only on the edge of the lightning web." as they were talking Katherine's voice sounded from behind them.
"Great, it seems as if he got in some problems for warning us about what might happen if we entered that place, it would be bad if he got injured by us in the end." Dan said.
"But the other person's injury seems serious, I don't think he can make it." Katherine said with a worried tone, after all she was the one who released the arrow so if the man died the killer would have been her.
"Don't worry about that even if he died he deserves it, after all he was with old Frank's team before and from the way he acted now I think that he betrayed him, and told their leader about us, and what's more if you didn't release that arrow we might have died so just don't worry about it." Leonard said.
Hearing what he said, her heart calmed down, she was a doctor after all so it wasn't going to be her first time seeing someone die in front of her, and she only needed something to comfort herself with that's all.
"He's going to die anyway but who knows if there's a way to heal him in this world, so it will be better if you finish him off." Dan hesitated for a little before saying that with a cold tone.
Randy smiled and aimed his plasma gun at the head of the cowardly looking man, before pulling the trigger. He found Dan's way of doing things quit to his liking.
"Hey you, go and… you know what give me the bow." while Kathrine was averting she eyes from what Randy did, she heard Nero calling her, he was going to ask from her to do something but after she turned her head, and he saw her expression he hesitated a little, sighed and asked for her bow.
She was surprised, and she hurriedly turned her head toward Dan and asked:
"Dan should I…"
Dan appeared absent minded but after that he seemed as if he remembered something as he looked at the two corps:
"Don't worry, just give it to him."
Kathrine gave the bow to Nero
hesitatingly after hearing what Dan said.
After that Nero took the bow from her and moved toward the corps and stood next to them, it didn't take long before a little green branch that had a thorn on its tip started moving toward the two corps from the bow.
"huh?" Kathrine released a surprised voice when she saw that.
After that the little branch stabbed the first corps and started absorbing blood from it, it didn't take long before the corps became just a bone and skin, after that the branch stabbed the other corps, doing the same thing to it, as soon as finished that the green branch returned to the bow.
Nero then returned the bow to Kathrine who held it with trembling hands.
"Don't worry the bow will never hurt its owner." Dan said after seeing her like that.
"Wha… What was that just now?" she asked him with a trembling voice while looking at the bow fearfully.
"What you need to know is that the bow is alive and like any other living organism it needs to eat, that's all there's to it." Nero said with clear annoyance and then he turned his head toward Dan and asked:
"You have a way to make it change masters, right? At first you did it because you didn't trust me, but now that we are together, don't you think that you should return it to me. After all I'm a warrior I'm sure it's going to be stronger in my hand then in hers."
Dan stayed silent for a while before saying to Nero:
"Not trusting you wasn't the only reason why I gave it to her."

Earth was overtaken by the Calumnia ten years ago and if it weren't for the alien Occisio race who saved the remnants of humanity, Indi's race would have gone extinct. Saga of the Jewels VOLUME ONE COMPLETE
Prefer to listen to rather than read Saga of the Jewels? I'm also releasing it as a free audibook serial podcast on iTunes here! Epic YA JRPG-influenced GameLit progression ensemble-cast steampunk romance fantasy! When Ryn’s hometown is destroyed, will he be able to gather together the twelve Primeval Jewels in order to defeat the evil Emperor and save the world of Mid? A fan novelization of an amazing Final Fantasy game that doesn’t actually exist, that currently releases at least one chapter a month. Epic in that this will be very long. “It’s a marathon, not a sprint!” (-Kandaj) YA in that this should be enjoyable to~13-year-olds and upwards. Some gore, some swearing, some sex, but nothing more than PG-13. JRPG-influenced / GameLit in that it uses lots of JRPG tropes, particularly from Final Fantasy. I’ve read a lot of fan Final Fantasy novelisations and you can basically think of this as a fan novelisation of its own Final Fantasy game that doesn’t actually exist as a game... Progression in that the characters level up over time (though not with visible litrpg stat boxes). They grow in ability through training and experience, gain new skills, individually and as a party (think Chrono Trigger) and spend time discussing and stratgeising about how to defeat their opponents. Main protagonist from book three would definitely be able to defeat himself from book one! Ensemble-cast because we've got quite the roster of misfits here. The first volume is all from the main protagonist's POV, but it starts dancing between his and different POVs thereafter. Steampunk in that we’ve also got airships, steam trains, pistols and ambiguous ‘amber bars’ that function a bit like artificial lights… Romance in that there is lots of shipping here, a few love triangles, and you may be kept guessing as to who will actually end up together... Fantasy in that we’re in a vaguely pre-modern setting. We’ve got swords, magic, dragons, dungeons, monsters, all that good stuff. * "This story captures that Final Fantasy quality perfectly. Kiddy but also grim. The characters are great... Severely underrated and needs more favorites/follows. I look forward to seeing how this story will unfold." -Gilgamesh9999 "Starting at the end and jumping backwards is not a writing style seen every day. I'll admit, I was a bit skeptical at first, but you've executed a fairly crazy idea very skillfully so far. Overall, a strong start to what could be a very strong story." -RandomFF.netUser "You definitely have my interest piqued. It'll be interesting to see where the story goes... It definitely has an 'old school Final Fantasy' type feel to it, which I appreciate...Good job! I am glad you are going into more details about the story you laid out in the prologue...of course the big burning question is 'You know they lose in the the first chapter, so how will they end up winning?' That of course, is the story you're writing...so we'll see how it goes! #Following." -KyleQuicksilver (quotes are from reviews on other sites) * If you enjoy it, don’t forget to boost Saga of the Jewels on topwebfiction.com!
