《Azura the Slayer》Chapter 23: Altercation

Azura lifted an eyebrow as she stretched out her arm towards one of the crystals.
A red glow surrounded her open hand as a Fire Crystal appeared in her hand.
“Ohhh~ Azura~~ Let me feel it, it looks so smooth and delicate~” Amelia stared at the crystal with infatuation.
Seeing desire take over Amelia’s eyes, Azura gently tossed it into Amelia's hand. As soon as Amelia came into contact with the crystal, it began to shrink in size, going from fist sized to a pebble in nearly a second.
Amelia's face flushed as the crystal vanished, then another crystal took its place as it began to shrink.
Azura kept putting crystals into Amelia's hand, until finally, the crystals would no longer shrink.
By now, the water had become much colder, and some fishes were seen floating still, not having the previous life it had.
“H..hey~ Dwo you fink that mayhbe we chould get some morrrre~?” Amelia’s face was fully flushed as a mischievous and evil glint appeared in her eyes.
“Sure, just for you.” Azura gently caressed Amelia’s cheek as a green light subtly spread to Amelia, which only caused her to get even more red than before.
Azura waved her hand as the lake, which previously was teeming with life, turned into a dark and dirty lake.
“Alright let’s go. This lake is done for.” Azura helped Amelia up as they walked around the park. Amelia explained with no trouble that most of the flowers here were originally planted for medical purposes, but as they found better alternatives, they just became beautiful flowers to gaze at.
Amelia felt better than ever in her life. She could feel the fire energies floating around much easier than before, even the side effect that left her in a drunken state was gone near instantly.

Just as the couple were about to leave, a group of hurried steps sounded behind them.
“Where do you think you’re going!” Sofia’s sharp voice echoed throughout the park, as once again, it fell silent, trying to listen to every word.
Azura and Amelia looked back, and just as Amelia was about to retort, Azura spoke, “We’re going back, you should probably stay here and nurse your little helpers though.” Azura grinned as she stared at the whole group.
In the group were 2 boys and 3 other girls, one being Bran and the other was called Len, he was assigned to protect Sofia at the academy. The other girls were also the daughters of some influential figures in the country.
“Humph! Who are you to speak? Who even are you, foreigner! What queen? Queen of ignorance and immorality, maybe. You probably only made something up to get into the academy.” Sofia snorted arrogantly as the group behind her started to slowly back away from her.
As they saw Azura's smile get more and more pronounced, they remembered her magic results and how she had easily passed the test.
Suddenly, Sofia felt a little coldness behind her, she turned around to see her entire group, apart from Len, retreating to the sidelines.
“At least your little toolies know what’s good for them. You know. I’ve seen this exact situation so many times. So what if you have a little title? What is it in front of true power? I was initially going to curse all of you, but since the smart ones retreated, you can be spared.” Sofia felt a breath on her neck.
Turning back towards Azura, all she saw was a slap which knocked her to the ground. This slap was light, so light that she thought she only fell due to her reaction to seeing the hand.

Quickly taking out a mirror from her bag, she looked over herself, seeing no mark, she felt happy and furious at the same time.
She glared at Azura, who only had a smiling face as she tried to stand up, only to stumble to the ground again.
“I hope you enjoy doing paperwork in the future, or actually, maybe you won’t even be able to do that one day? Sofia, be smart in the next lifetime if we do meet again, I won't be as merciful as I was this time, ok?” Azura snickered as she took in the surprise, anger and panic in Sofia’s eyes.
As she said that, Sofia felt a body drop beside her. Len looked dumbfounded as he stared at his legs, which wouldn’t move, no matter what he tried.
