On a tourist hiking trail frequented by many people, a mother and her son overlooked the beautiful scenery. Lush flora licked the gravel and dirt paths. Magnificent cliffs overlaid a mountain in the distance. “Mommy look! Someone’s hanging from that cliff!.” The young boy cried out, pointing to someone dangling from the edge.

The shocked mother followed his finger then instantly covered his eyes when she saw what her kid pointed to. Moments later, the cry of that person echoed its way towards the two. “Somebody help meeeeee!!!” The young man held onto the cliff with his fingers digging into the rock.

“Mooooom! Why won’t you let me see?” The young child cried out. “Hush child. I’m doing this for your own good. Cliffhangers only bring rage, expectations, frustration, and impatience. Some people even smash their desks in the moment” The mom sternly replied, letting her son peak at a sign that read “Beware of Cliffhangers.”

“Really?” The boy asked while being ushered away by his mom. “Yes, child. I’ll buy you some ice cream later so just follow along.” “Ok!” The mother bribed her child to leave without any fuss. And the two merrily departed, narrowly avoiding the effects of the cliffhanger.
