《Memories of the Gluttonous Sage》Day 7 (17)

In an unknown location, eight hooded individuals sat around a round table in a dark room. In the center of the table, the symbol of a shield over two crossed swords above the words “Vivere vel Superesse” were carved into it. The ninth hooded man walked into the room and sat at the last open chair.
“Now that we are all here, let’s begin our monthly meeting.” The first individual, the leader of their group, spoke as the ninth sat. “Today marks the 7th day since that individual has been summoned. Report on his actions.” Number Two, the one in charge of logistics and meeting notes spoke after Number One gave the signal.
“That individual was successfully summoned next to our agent 7 days ago. For the details about that person’s circumstances, we’ll need to ask it.” Number 5 spoke then pulled out a pot from within his clothes. Inside the pot a small sprout shook slightly as it was carelessly placed onto the table.
“Report about that person, monster.” Number 5 ordered the sprout. [That person has learned the Swallowing Gods technique and has already mastered the water, fire, and ice elements. That person has also consumed “The Apple” and can currently use roughly 3 million mana freely. That person has also summoned the Spirit Kings of Fire and Space.
[That person had a lucky encounter with an old master and is now studying under him. That master granted territory, money, and achievements to that person. That master and the Spirit King of Space configured the territory to ensure smooth future development. I performed any healing that may have been accredited to that person.] The sprout communicated to everyone using thought communication.
“3 elements within the first week, 2 of which are opposing and the other is an advanced element? This subject might be the one after all.” Number 6 spoke up, admiring “that person’s” progress. “Not only that, but that person is already able to control 3 million mana and summon two Spirit Kings. They’re by far the most talented out of the ones we have summoned.” Number 4 also commented.

“Don’t forget about that lucky encounter. Because of that master, that person has a safe space to grow without being disturbed, money, and achievements. This may be the best start out of all the subjects.” Number 7 added.
“Quiet.” Spoke Number 3. “Now that his progress has been ascertained, we must discover any flaws within the plan and patch them up immediately. Number 5, can you guarantee that… monster’s… loyalty and accuracy of information?” Number 3 directed his attention to Number 5.
“Without a doubt, Number 3. Look.” Number 5 set the sprout on fire to prove his point. The sprout didn’t resist nor move even a millimeter until it turned to ash. “This plant monster is not sentient and will follow my orders to the letter as long as it has that medallion. It is merely a puppet in my arsenal.
“And you do not have to worry about it losing the medallion, since my first order was ‘Protect this with your miserable life and never lose it.’ before engraving the medallion deep within its trunk.” Number 5 explained.
“Good. And your orders trump those of that person, correct?” Number 3 clarified to which Number 5 nodded. “Hmm… what are the chances of that… thing… becoming sentient?” Number 3 asked with suspicion.
“Hahahaha! It’s impossible. Although that monster can read other’s memories, unless she reads the memories of a god or someone who understands the process of gaining sentience and becoming self-aware, it will forever remain as knowledge and never be implemented.” Number 5 laughed at the absurdity of Number 3’s question.
“Don’t be too complacent. There are people from my world who haven’t even reached their mid 40s but they still understand this topic thoroughly.” Number 1 spoke up in a blunt tone. “Yes… that’s why our target range was the early 20s at the max.” Number 4 spoke.

“Number 4, report on the summon process and any possible errors.” Number 3 stated. “The summon was completed successfully. Our agent within the church modified the circle to imprint the trait of “Gluttony” into that person’s soul, then reprogrammed the output location next to that monster. The only possible error right now is that our agent committed suicide a few months too early.” Number 4 reported.
“Hmm… that is within expectations since the pope just returned to the capitol. However, Number 2, take note of this error just in case.” Number 3 commented then instructed Number 2. Number 2 wrote down everything that was stated then added another line with the aforementioned note.
“Number 6, report on the technique that person learned and any possible errors.” Number 3 ordered Number 6. “The Swallowing Gods technique allows rapid progress and free control of all elements in exchange for their free will. The user can use magic without magic circles or chanting.”
“Once completed, the user becomes a puppet of the person who controls the host formula. They will absorb the divinity and powers of any god they kill as well. A perfect weapon if I do say so myself.” Number 6 reported the details about his technique.
“The only possible error is if that monster did not teach that person the technique. As for the host formula, after creating it I gave it to Number 1 then destroyed any notes and memories relating to it.” Number 6 concluded his report.
“Good. Number 8, report on the techniques you taught that monster to ensure absolute trust of that person.” Number 3 ordered Number 8. “I taught that… thing… how to seduce a man actively and inactively. That thing can transform itself into that person’s ideal woman based on his memories. There are no flaws.” Number 8 spoke with a feminine voice.
“Hmm… The gender of the person we summoned was set to male, correct Number 4?” Number 3 asked Number 4, to which he replied, “Yes.” “Good… then everything seems to be in order. Number 9, maintain favorable relations with your religious order and try to become the pope before that person completes the technique.
“That god will be our first target. Number 7, listen to Number 2 to see if we need any more finances, otherwise continue your work on that organization. The sooner we can get real time updates about that person’s movement, the better.” Number 3 paused and looked in Number 1’s direction.
“Any issues with the current arrangements, leader?” Number 3 asked the leader, to which he shook his head. “Alright, then this concludes our 643rd monthly meeting.” Number 2 commented. Each of the individuals left the dark room. A blue flash occurred in the room they exited into, teleporting them back to their original locations.
