Chapter 95: Hearts of the Million Dragons
Amphere Harrison
“We’re outgunned and outnumbered. Necross is certainly on another league than us… We don’t stand a chance…” General Holster dropped his twin pistols and knelt to the ground.
“He’s way too overpowered.” Rudolf muttered as he prevents his own jaws from shaking.
I closed my eyes, and i opened it once a turned my gaze towards my allies. All their eyes says that everything is now hopeless. We have used our Dracaryxes, and only a few can activate Vesryn Pulse at this point. I’m not even sure if I can even materialize Airi’s dragon form.
Speaking of Airi, I checked on her, expecting to say some stupid plan that would work anyway. But alas, she seems baffled and troubled. It really looks like she ran out of tricks on her sleeve. I can sense her speeding heart due to nervousness.
Is there really no way to defeat this guy?
A sudden thought came to my mind that strike me like lightning.
“Hey, why are you laughing?” Estoff looked at me with a question mark on his face.
Oh, I didn’t recognize that I’m already laughing like that deceased lunatic general Kyle Leviticus. All of them turned their attention to me with a puzzled glare. Now they think of me as a weirdo.
“Now that I think of it…” I said with a smile right in front of them. “The only way to defeat an overpowered entity is to overpower him.”
“None of your words makes any sense, totally…” Airi, now embarrassed of his boyfriend, scratched her head.
I looked once more at the skies and the thousand star-like figures appeared to be brighter and bigger; signaling that they have entered the planet’s atmosphere. I reckon that even if all the armies of the planet, all the dragonoids and humans combined, cannot defeat millions of knights of the past.
But only I have that power.
“I’m begging you all dragon knights to lend me your dragonoid’s strength.” I bowed in front of my comrades.
“We sure do, even if you didn’t have to ask for permission.” Mark Anthony Octavius answered. “But we’re all intrigued on your plan that was stuck on your head. What is it?”

“Isn’t it obvious?” I widened up my smirk and glared at them with determination. Then I turned away and looked back at the falling stars that are ready to assault us with all their might! I reached my chest, and gazed at them with the crimson Eye of Deus!
“OVERLOADING VESRYN PULSE!!!”
The million glowing zombie dragons made a line to connect each and every one of them, making a complex 3-dimensional constellation that lightened up the skies. The area of effect is humongous that it covers all things in the stratosphere! Deep in my heart, I can feel an immense…no, an overloading power that keeps growing infinitely! This is the power of a million synchronized hearts! This is the full extent of the Vesryn Pulse!
Airi, who was coincidentally on the center of my allies, had her heart glowing and white line surged and connected her to my dragonoid allies. Her V-sign on her forehead then made a light ray that linked to the humongous constellation in the skies.
This part of the world was eaten by a blinding light once again, and when I know it, I was already on top of a continental-sized dragon that is floating in the outer space. I can see the round planet of Alterra from here, as if I’m an astronaut that is riding an awesome lizard-shaped space-station! The sun that is about to peek on our area is making this scenery an absolute fantastic!
This dragon, which is the product of million resonating dragonoid hearts, is a godly existence. It has a dark astral body that contains hundreds or thousands of glowing spots, giving him the appearance of a starry night sky. Although this dragon has the basic form which has two wings, two arms, two legs, and a long tail, its body is purely made out of energy.
This dragon contains the resonating hearts for over thousands of years! This is the Galaxy Dragon!
In front of us is a much larger Underworld Dragon that ascended from million souls who have been murdered. The difference in size is colossal, but it won’t matter now! I have turned Necross’s invincible army to my side, and I have the infinite power of the Vesryn Pulse!

Dragunov said that Necross’s human body was just a piece of him, and Necross himself is the Underworld. That means, if I’m able to destroy that dragon’s head, Necross will cease to exist!
“Now is the time for your planet to be destroyed!”
THIS IS THE END OF TIME, EYE OF DEUS!!! The Underworld itself said. DRACARYX!!! ACTIVATE ALMIGHTY HELLSCREAM!!!
The planetary Underworld Dragon opened its mouth, and a sea of flames originating from hell itself flowed though empty space towards our direction. It was so large and powerful that it can certainly drill the Alterra Planet like cheese. I don’t have the option to evade because the world is just behind me. I have to face this directly! I held my chest and shouted once again!
“DRACARYX!!! ACTIVATE DEUS ASCENSION!!!”
The Galaxy Dragon was coated in a white-fire-like aura, much same as Rudolf’s Chaos Claws, but more transparent. This aura granted us the power to surpass the speed of light as we boosted forward to intercept the raging beam of inferno! It was as if all time and space has ceased to work, and everything, to my consciousness, seems to be unmoving.
The Galaxy Dragon surged and entered towards the heart of the hell beam, which scattered the blaster all over the empty space. The temperature here is infinite, that means it would vaporize anything it touches, but the powerful aura of the Deus Ascension served as a cocoon to keep me safe from any harm.
As we venture deeper, I noticed that several stars on the Galaxy Dragon fell of and crashed like a meteorite back to the planet. Those stars are dragonoids which I borrowed their power with! Is the power of a million-dragon Dracaryx is not enough to take down Necross at all? The beam started vaporizing the outer part of the Galaxy Dragon and more and more of the dragons fall down. It’s shaving our power little by little!
“Amphere!” Richard talked through telepathy. “I think this is the parting way for the Galaxy Dragon! If we stay here inside the hell beam any longer, all of us will die! You have to disable the Overloaded Vesryn Pulse!”
Richard is a hundred percent correct. I held my chest, and whispered “Cancelling Vesryn Pulse!” In an instant, thousands of glowing dragonoids dispersed away from the beam. Then all the dragonoids fell down back to the planet.
We don’t have a concern over most of the dragonoids since they are already dead in the first place. But Richard, through his best efforts, created a portal to warp away those living dragonoids like Kyrie, Jasmine and the others. I’m sure Richard transported them to a safe place back in the planet. All that was left with me is Airi in her humanoid form, and Exceria, in her Pulsar Dragon form!
“Expanded Clearance! Deus Ex Dragonica!” I shouted. Then Exceria became coated with steel armor to protect him from heat at least. As we dig deeper into the beam, the temperature seems to be more stable and cooler, but still hot enough to toast a dragon!
In no time, Pulsar Dragon’s cybernetic armor melted. “I’m sorry that this is the farthest as I can go, Amphere, Airelina. Strength is leaving me.” Exceria apologized.
Suddenly, Exceria’s huge hands caught us both and threw it as powerful as she can, towards the raging planet. “Finish the prophecy, Amphere and Airelina!”
“Totally!” Airi shouted. Suddenly, without any activation of the Vesryn Pulse, Airi morphed herself to become a Chimeratech Dragon!
“Look, Amphy!” She relayed through my head. “I can see him. I can see Necross on the forehead of the Underworld!”
Airi maneuvered herself to drill deeper to the source of the beam, which was slowly fading away. It was as Airi said. Necross’s half body was on top of the forehead of the hell dragon. Now I’m certain that it is his real definite body!

However, there are several moments that are extremely violent. I've always loved shows/movies such as, (The Expanse, The Boys, Banshee, Kingdom of heaven, Vikings, Attack on Titan, Baccano, etc.) I am descriptive of the scenes with violence. So be warned :) I've worked long and hard and have finally finished my third draft. Still needs work but everything storywise is complete. There are still a few things I need to add and tweak. Grammatical errors and flushing out the characters and dialogue still needs work. If you see any errors or plot holes, please feel free to point them out. It helps me improve upon the story.
