Vesryn, the Saint, and the Eye of Deus
An Extended Lore
Vesryn
Long ago, mighty creatures ruled the land of Alterra. The dragons drove all other creatures away, forcing them to live underground where at least they will be safe. Then a gift from the heavens came, and a wizard with godlike capabilities; Vesryn, came into the human empire and helped them to reclaim their rightful lands in the surface. Vesryn’s magical abilities created the Vesryn Pulse, which has the ability to control the dragon’s power using human’s heartbeat and willpower.
The legends have told it over and over again, but there is one truth that no one has ever known. Vesryn. Me. I am a dragon myself. Actually, I was the first ever dragonoid that existed.
Same as the humans, the dragons have an empire. Unlike the humans believe, we are not-every time dragons at the millennium ages. We are able to switch from two forms; Semi Dragon and Dragon Forms. Semi-Dragons are partially humans which has their specific wings and tail. We hid these weaknesses to humans because if the humans knew our weaker form, they could stand a chance and find a way to annihilate us.
We dragons are originally biologically immortal, and can only be killed by battle. Even if dragons can be killed, they can be easily resurrected by the help of the dragon wizards in the ancient ages. I was one of the Resurrection Priestesses of the dragons which resides in the Cathedral Exa. That explains why I can resurrect dragonoids as for the present day.
Unlike what humans believe, we dragons are not what they think they are. Dragons only scare humans in their dragon form to push them back living in the underground for a grave reason. We are scared of a certain ritual that can be activated once the people had the surface. We call it the Necross Ascension.
Necross Ascension, according to the primal legends, is the end of the planet of Alterra. It consists of two planets colliding once “The number of a million demons has stolen the souls of the human in the surface”. Necross Ascension is the literal collision and merge of the Underworld and the Living World, which means that “Hell shall fall from the Heavens.”

The conditions and required soul count are still ambiguous but all we know is that the ritual has a prescribed duration of a decade. Once the time has passed, the counter for the human souls will reset. And the Necross Ascension shall be restarted from zero.
To stop this, we dragons forbid any human to jump into the surface. But the Human Empire is stubborn. They waged wars over and over, just to lose again and again. The foolish race never knew what they’re dealing with.
There was a time when a kid travelled in the surface and got lost. He wandered through days and nights, until he finally found me, a dragon in a Semi-Dragon form. At first, I wanted to kill the boy but I realized that the boy has never done anything wrong. I took care of the boy until he became a man.
His name is Deo, and he was the man I’m in love with. He is mine, and I am his. He has this long black hair, brown eyes, and adorable face that strongly resembles the boy Amphere Harrison. I suffered a lot from hiding him away from my kin. A Priestess can never fall in love. And a dragon cannot love a human. That is the intelligent-made laws that I violated. I only believe in my heart.
The dragons discovered my secret, and ordered me to kill the man that I love. But I never wanted to do that. We tried to escape from the dragons and aimed to run and run, away from any trouble. But before we had that, we got cornered.
This is the first time in history that a human and dragon’s heart resonated, creating a wonderful magic called Dracaryx. Because of the power of the ultimate magic, we managed to escape from our captors.
The resonating hearts of ours also made me discover my third form; the humanoid form. Aside from that, Deo now has the authority to control, seal and unseal my powers, giving me the ability to blend to humans and dragons. This is the first Vesryn Pulse in history.
We resided in the human empire in peace. It was tough adapting at first, but we manage to get through. We had a simple life for almost ten years, until an anomaly happened.

I saw the sign that the absolute despair has arrived. I had a dream about a dragon with gigantic ten horns wearing a golden crown that has the number of the devil. He was holding the planet Alterra on his left, and the Underworld on his right. His glare at the humans, and dragons made them cower and bow in fear.
And then I saw an image of the eye of god. Crimson dragon eyes on a black sclera. It was on a silhouette that I know. It was the silhouette of Deo, yet his voice differs. He said to me: “Thou shall follow thy prophecy, for it will save every living creature in existence. The dragon saint shall make an acquaintance with the Eye of Deus, for the unholy ritual Necross Ascension to be forever forgotten.”
I have read the Primal Legends of the history of dragons. We only have one saint; Exceria. She is considered to be the most powerful dragonoid during the primal era, about a billion years ago. Deo and I searched for all the stone tablets to find her memento, in order to revive her and summon her in the living realm.
A moonstone was the only relic needed, and Exceria’s resurrection was made a success. She was one naïve woman for a saint, and considers me as her mother since I’m the one who gave her second life. The only riddle to be solved is how will I arrange a meeting of her with the Eye of Deus? Since the mysterious almighty man looked like Deo, I thought that everything was finished. But it seems that Deo was not the right person.
I have never fulfilled the prophecy, until now.
Meanwhile, the Empire of Humans waged another war against the dragons to claim the surface land. Deo volunteered to become a soldier in order to get more information about the prophecy on my dreams.
Unfortunately, he never came back home. Instead, he was slaughtered by my kin; my dragon blood.
Because of it, I had my hatred to the entire dragon race. I used all my knowledge and power to learn the necessary spells to seal the dragon’s powers. I had my magician name well known to the humans and continuously ranked in order to gain the Human Emperor’s favor to wage the final war against the dragons.
The night before the final war, the apparition with red eyes talked to me and made a bargain.
“You wish for vengeance. You wish for power. I can grant both. I will grant you the power to seal all dragons to their weakling human form. I shall give you the authority to activate the Universal Pulse. But thou shall surrender me your power. You will become a human being, flesh, and dragon, by blood. You can no longer return to your dragon form, yet you shall become immortal to witness the suffering of eternity. Such measures are necessary for you to help the Saint and the Eye of Deus to fulfill their destiny.”
“I accept.” I said to the apparition. And that is where I was gifted a portion of the power; the power of the Eye of Deus.
I borrowed the Eye of Deus do what the legends says. I sealed the dragons to a mortal human body, and they are now called dragonoids. They lost their freedom and rights, and they became enslaved by the humans. After a few years, I pitied the dragonoids. Guilt has struck my heart. I found a way for the humans and dragonoids to cohabitate, so I taught the ancient knights how to perform the resonance of the hearts that is named after me; the Vesryn Pulse.
About five hundred years later, Exceria had the prophecy; a nightmare that keeps haunting her every night for hundreds of years. She said that the evil one; Necross, will be coming himself to kill her and get her moonstone for the ritual to complete. Due to our fear with that evil being, we decided to live underground in the Cathedral Exa; never to be seen again by anyone.
Not until the Amphere Harrison has come.
