Chapter 46: Deus Ex Machina

Richard has been uncomfortable while watching this fight. As I thought, he’s still worried for Amphere and Airelina’s wellbeing. While I am here watching in the backstage, crossed arms and impatiently tapping my fingers, I am praying for their defeat.

Using Dennis’ Dracaryx on his enemy, he has secured his victory. The Abyssal Hole is a perfect killing move. The caster of that spell alone can stop the ball of darkness that pulls everything inside into the void. If it weren’t for Amphere’s Futuretech Dragon’s claws which was coated with photons, it was able to last for a minute. But I can say that this fight is going sideways.

Airelina Frembell. The woman who killed my mother when I was a kid. I will never forgive her. I wanted her to exhaust herself and lose this fight, and then, for the right moment, I’ll kill her with my own sword. I have entered the Dragon Knights Academy, Chevalier Unit, Student Council and the Dragon Knight’s Tournament for the purpose of getting information about the Crimson Dragonfly. And now, my goal is just in front of my eyes.

The Futuretech Dragon proceeded to cover the Abyssal Hole with all its metallic body parts possible, just to prevent the ball from pulling his knight. She covered it with her wings and tail, which made the strong gravitation stop.

Amphere jumped out of his dragon and prepared a dual wielding stance with his glowing swords. Since Dennis already used his Dracaryx, his dragonoid Lyka was reverted back to her human form. I can see Lyka panting due to fatigue, but still able to fight at least. Dracaryx momentarily stops the dragonoid’s heart, so her pain is understandable.

The lawyer-knight’s dynamos circled around him as he took a strong grip on his swords. There is only a little chance that he can survive a two-versus-one battle, especially which Dennis’ and his dragonoid’s attacks are for long range. Amphere’s shield plate will go off in no time. If my lip-reading is correct, he murmured something like “Requesting Maximum Clearance.”

“Maximum Clearance Authorized.” The Futuretech Dragon ringed a cybernetic voice.

The revolving dynamos found its way back to Amphere’s back, attached itself altogether which formed an X. Blue flames started bursting out from the edges of the dynamos, making a miniature version of wings of the Crimson Dragonfly. After a second, the flame goes out. The combined dynamos behind Amphere slowly morph and elongate itself to partially cover the knight’s body!

From afar, it looks like Amphere is inside a metallic steampunk ribcage. There was a loud whirling and clanking sound as pieces of metal on the sides of the ribs form itself into a robotic human arm! Realizing that something was off, Dennis fired numerous black feather arrows, but Amphere controlled the metallic arms to shield him from those projectiles. Lyka throwing football-sized pebbles didn’t help either.

The audiences cheered in awe, but it became louder when they saw Amphere’s surprise. A gigantic humanoid skull materialized on top of the metallic ribcage, which makes it look like an upper body of a robotic titan!. The steel skull glowed red, and made a terrifying roar that echoed throughout the arena!

“This is the limit of my power!” Amphere proclaimed loudly. “Finish them, Deus Ex Machina!”

Deus ex Machina opened its mouth, and a pointed laser gun revealed its existence and released a laser in a light speed! Dennis didn’t have any time to avoid it, so a direct hit made his shield plate go to zero.

Then the loud buzzer came. “The winner for this dazzlingly spectacular battle is Amphere Harrison!”

The crowd went wild. Amphere’s fangirls shrieked like a group of bitches as they shout their idol’s name. Moreover, his scarlet haired dragonoid reverted back to humanoid form and hugged him tight. Airelina’s clothes have been tattered because of the Abyssal Hole earlier. It even reveals her pink-and-white striped bra. That immodest bitch!

The next fight would be mine.

“Please welcome the Student Council President and an honorable member of the Chevalier unit, Reina Fleuret! …And on the other side is an exotic force to be reckoned with, Darius Worewick!”

Darius Worewick has a dark skin and wears dragon bones as a rosary on his neck. He has this purple paint on his face which makes me remind of the tribal humans which used to live in the far east islands. Darius Worewick is the prince of his tribe, and joined the Dragon Knight’s Tournament to have his tribe well known to the whole world.

His Dragonoid is just like him, a tribal-looking man. Except that this man looks like a giant and has humongous biceps that would make everyone tremble in fear.

But not me. I won’t be scared in such appearance. Appearance could be deceiving. For example: Airelina Frembell looks friendly and adorable, but deep inside, she is a massacre mistress. I’m sorry for always pointing Airelina. My rage knows no limits to that person.

“Let the battle begin!” The buzzer cried.

I wanted to finish this fight as soon as possible. I activated Vesryn Pulse on Richard which made him an eight-meter long white Portal Dragon. My enemy also mimicked my actions.

Red gems glaring from the eye sockets of the thick tyrannosaurus skull, which was supported by gigantic spine; this dragon has six limbs, which are majorly used for crawling. It also has skeletal wings which are covered by blazing red flames. The ribs are protecting a dark core of glowing energy, which makes it obvious that it is indeed its heart. This is the Skull Dragon.

The Skull Dragon dropped its jaws, and series of basketball-sized infernal fireballs shoot to our direction. Richard, as a Portal Dragon, magically summoned a gigantic ring of light that absorbed all the incoming projectiles. Those fireballs will be transported to the skies. The audiences looked up to see those very same blazing balls. They were amazed that they mistook it for some reverse-falling meteor display.

Our enemy can’t use Dracaryx, so I would want to have our edge as soon as possible.

“DRACARYX!!!” Activate Hyperspace Fury!!!”

Hundreds of portals opened up the sky. These portals from different space and time, and even dimensions are the symbol of my love for Richard, and Richard’s love for me. Every time I chant this spell, our heart resonates with warmth in our heart.

The portals projected beams of light that pierced the helpless Skull Dragon and its knight. A deafening noise echoed, followed by endless wave of smoke. Five seconds passed, and the dusty air left the place. It revealed my opponents who are now unconscious. His shield plate is completely depleted.

“It’s a one-hit K.O.!!!” The emcee shouted. “This is a quick victory for President Reina Fleuret!!!”

I raised my sword, pointing at the person I hated for my whole life. Airelina Frembell. She halted flirting her dragon knight when she noticed me glaring at her with intent to kill.

I may not be able to take out your life, Airelina Frembell. I will kill you. Not today, not tomorrow. But I will certainly kill you.
