Chapter 36: Wanted
Amphere Harrison
“DRACARYX!!!”
I shouted again. But nothing is happening. Even the audiences, the twelve generals, the princess, and the emcee are deadly silent. Not even a cricket made a noise. They all look surprised yet devastated, or even disappointed. That’s when I realized I really haven’t unlocked our Dracaryx yet!
“As I thought, we can’t totally use that yet.” Airi said telepathically. She should’ve said me that it won’t work in the first place! Now I got myself embarrassed in front of all officials of Alterra!
The black and white dragon with two heads are readying their dual-wielding sword stance, ready to counter our attacks any time. I have yet to see a two-swords arts of a dragon, so this is a great experience for me! Also, these two didn’t have any Dracaryx! I’m really lucky!
Airi charged a glowing ball of photon bomb on her mouth and launched it, not just once or twice, but five times. Those are quickly charged photon bombs, so the damage it can cause is minimal. If only Airi can charge photon bombs for a minute, she can destroy the enemy…no, even the whole arena!
The dual wielding dual headed dragon sliced through projectiles like cutting some onions. The photon bombs exploded upon being slashed, making a quarter of the arena full of flying dust and smoke. We used it as a diversion to prepare my Futuretech Dragon’s machine guns from her wings. She morphed two on each of her wings, and then created an endless barrage of bullets.
But then the Gemini Dragon surged towards our direction and made a brave slanting slash! Airi evaded it by flying like a harrier plane. The Gemini Dragon’s movements are a little sluggish thanks to its height and weight, but we have no way dealing it in close quarters combat. We gained altitude and fired rockets from my Futuretech Dragon’s chest, but all the missiles was slashed just before it hit our opponent.
“What’s our plan?” I asked Airi since she’s a lot smarter than me.
“I don’t know, totally!” She modestly said. “You’re the dragon knight, you should be the one to think of a way.”

How irresponsible of her. How irresponsible of me too, I guess. She has the point. Our edge is our speed in flight and ballistic homing projectiles, but our enemy’s specialty is cutting through long range attacks. Our missiles, bullets, or bombs will do nothing to the enemy as long as its armed with two swords. Disarming him seems to be impossible too.
The black and white Gemini Dragon started to flap its wings! Now they’re going to chase us in the skies! But their flight is still not as fast as Airi’s. Oh yeah, about the shield plates! Originally, Vlad is carrying the shield plate but now that they are in dragon form, the shield plate is activated on the dragon itself. A simple damage to the dragon will have their plate drop percentage. All that’s left in theirs are 73%. As for me, I still have 82%. As they charge to our location, I immediately confirmed a plan on my head.
“Airi, fire four remote controlled missiles and make them circle around the enemy dragon. Make sure it won’t get to their sword range.”
Airi did what I said. Four white flying torpedoes launched and revolve around the Gemini Dragon. Since the dragon has limited sword range, he can’t deal with it. The enemy can go forward to reach the missiles, but Airi will adjust their ballistics to make sure the missiles won’t get destroyed. I really think Airi already know what I’m thinking. We’re connected telepathically after all.
The Futuretech Dragon fired six photon bombs to the Gemini Dragon, but same case scenario, the photon bombs were sliced in half and the Gemini Dragon became covered in smoke. This is it! Airi commanded the remote controlled missiles to hit on the Gemini Dragon’s back! But I know their reflexes are better than that!
They managed to slice the three missiles, but the last missile hit their left shoulder. That was not enough. The shield plate went down to 34%. But, as they were busy on blocking the attacks, we already charged a ten-second-charged photon bomb! This will make their plate go down to zero!
There was a loud whirling noise as the Futuretech Dragon fired her last attack! But alas! Our computation was flawed! They managed to slash it before it touches them! Good thing I have a backup plan!

I had my dynamos positioned at the back of the Gemini Dragon the whole time. I commanded them to fire the final laser beams to the enemy’s spine, making them endure a great burning pain as their shield plates went off to zero percent!
“The winner is Amphere Harrison and his magnificent combos!” The emcee proclaimed.
I inhaled a lot of air as soon as we landed back on the arena grounds. This battle…I pretty much used all my power in this fight. I know that if ever I fought someone who has unlocked Dracarys like Rudolf or Reina, I’ll certainly lose.
I went back to the backstage and Duchess Corasell and Eva congratulated me. Reina and Richard was there too, who were quite impressed in our fight. The only ones who were not here to congratulate me were Rudolf, Kyrie, and Estoff. Rudolf and Kyrie must be very busy at this time. Estoff never showed his face again to the public, since he’s now labeled as a terrorist.
That idiot…I told him to wear a mask, but he’s too stubborn to show off his pretty face to our enemies. Now look who got stripped from being an honorable Pentagram Knight…
By the way, there is also someone who got his name and face in a wanted poster…
“Hey, Richard…” I said, and then I looked at the surroundings. When I confirmed that no one here beside from us is listening, I continued. “How are you able to roam freely if you’re a wanted terrorist?”
“Haven’t you heard?” Reina crossed her arms below her breasts. “Richard Astherson is already dead…at least in the eyes of the law. You’re now talking to Richard Harrison from now on.”
Richard gave off this oblivious smile at me. How dare he change his last name and use mine? We’re not even related! There’s no way that I share the same ‘blood’ as that disgusting lizard!
There was a chill down on my spine. I thought it was just a feeling until I heard three different sets of footsteps from my back.
Kyle Leviticus. Rudolf. Kyrie. All three of them are emitting the very same grim eyes on them. What’s the matter with this people? Richard, Airi, Duchess Corasell and I gritted our teeth. Why are they here?
“Congratulations on your fight in the third round~” Kyle have this fake smile, offering me a fake hand shake. I have a grudge on him…since he exposed Estoff’s identity, poisoned Rudolf’s mind, and killed Richard…Well, not kill Richard. He’s been revived.
Richard clenched his fist. It seems like General Kyle Leviticus didn’t recognize him at all. He have already killed hundreds if not thousands of dragonoids, so maybe Richard’s face has been written off from his memory. I felt that Richard has the urge to draw his sword, but Rudolf and Kyrie are on guard.
To release the upcoming tension, I tried to play cool and took the lunatic General’s hand. “You’re welcome, General…”
Kyle reached a letter from his pocket and lent it to my hand. It has the seal of the golden sword; the seal of the Chevalier Unit.
“I have seen your extraordinary abilities in combat. I have decided to appoint you as the new member of our Chevalier Unit. In exchange, you will learn everything…everything that you wanted to know. Even the Crimson Dragonfly.” Kyle gave off the most disgusting oblivious smile I ever had.
“SHUT UP, LUNATIC!” Airi lost her temper and gave a more deadly facial expression. Her eyes are now wide open but her scarlet pupil appeared so small... just like those serial killers. I have to evade this scene as possible.
“I refuse.” I said. Then I grabbed Airi’s hand and attempted to walk away.
But then Rudolf swiftly installed a handcuff on my wrist. I tried resisting, but Rudolf is the very one who tried to suppress my struggle. Then he finally released these words.
“Neo Black Phantom…No,… Sir Amphere Harrison, 2nd Class Dragon Knight. In the name of the Empire of Alterra, you are now under arrest.”

Authors Note: If you find that the dialogue from the prologue to chapter 5 seem to be not that smooth, I apologize for that, it was my first time writing a fanfic so the dialogue was not in a format that is ideal. However, due to reader comments and some research I will try to attempt to improve the dialogue from chapter 6 and onwards. I may or may not come back to edit the first few chapters since I would have to rewrite most of it and I would rather spend that time writing out more of the story.
