《The Divine Mortal》Chapter 27: Entrance Examination Day (3)

"Roy hasn't come back yet!" Bubu and the others looked left and right.
Beside him, a fat, burly servant had taken up Roy's spot.
It was already noon.
From this position, you could see who first emerged from the Immortal's Path.
The fight of the Immortal's Path was first, then the fight of the Heavenly Promotion Plateau, and any who passed could become a Heavenly Immortal.
More than 100,000 servant disciples were present, necks craned, yet not a sound was heard. They quietly waited for it to begin.
In the sky, the Sky Cranes danced. On each Immortal Crane was an official disciple of the Supreme Sword Sect. They gathered in twos and threes. Today, they were on high to watch the events.
But the most attention-grabbing person was the overseer of this examination: an elderly person!
On the Heavenly Promotion Plateau, there floated a platform of white jade. There were a few swirls below it, as though it were being kept aloft by the wind, which lifted the white jade platform into the air.
On the platform were three white jade thrones. The one in the center was the largest, and on it sat an elder with white eyebrows, white hair, and a white robe. His face was solemn, and intimidating without anger.
This was the Elder of Supreme Sword Sect, Zo Mu.
There was no one on the left seat. On the right seat was a white-robed girl. It was Marja Moon. Many of Poro Mountain's servants felt proud upon seeing that Marja Moon was present.
"Moon, are there any good servants from Poro Mountain coming?" Elder Zo Mu asked casually.
He knew that given Marja Moon's temper, she would not pay too much attention to average disciples.
"Just one named Roy," Marja Moon said.

"Is this person special?" Zo Mu was curious.
"I don't know. I was thinking the same thing, so I came today to see for myself," Marja Moon said.
"I see. Then I will pay extra attention." Zo Mu chuckled. Even if he laughed, others were still very reverent towards him.
After all, he was a major presence in the Supreme Sword Sect.
"Marja Moon is actually here!"
In the sky, the Immortal Cranes flocked. In one excellent position was Doko Joke and the other three.
"Doko Joke, what's there to see in a bunch of servants? they are nothing but lowly creatures," the red-clothed girl said arrogantly.
"a disgrace to our sect, ultimately a joke to the whole cultivation world!" she added fiercely.
"BUU.." the other 2 spurted out a mouthful of wine from their mouth. Originally, they were enjoying the view when this foul-mouthed girl suddenly spouted some ridicule without mincing her words. She didn't even notice Doko Joke was glaring dagger at her, she casually shrugged while playing with her fingernail.
Doko Joke said. "Sui Lama, since there's nothing else to do, let's see them do battle like beasts and amuse ourselves."
The red-clothed girl's name was Sui Lama.
The tall girl in blue was called Lala Moa.
And the other tall, thin guy was Aba Wox.
They were geniuses, and descendants of martial families. A First-Rate Families!
Especially Doko Joke. His family was secretly aristocrats of the martial way. A week ago his supposedly crippled cultivation was miraculously restored, albeit with great efforts. It turned out that the mysterious woman didn't really abolish his cultivation base, she only sealed it temporarily. But, the seal was too strong for even a Spirit Master Expert to break. Hence, the Joke family had to find an array master to help in cracking the seal.

One has to know that an array master was very rare in this world. After all, to cultivate this path, one must have a strong body constitution as well as numerous resources to back the energy that was required in creating and breaking a formation. This was the reason they were a few and far between, only the Great Families and other big shots had this kind of specs.
Therefore, the Joke family had wasted many resources only to find a single array master. Doko was very frustrated to find this fact and swore to take his revenge someday when he was strong enough.
Naturally, he was referring to Roy when talking about his vengeance.
Nevertheless, he was also curious who was that mysterious woman that had sealed his cultivation base with such ease. Even the array master had found the sealing formation to be too complex and needed 1 week time to completely destroy the restriction. Such strong formation could only come from a peerless array master! The mysterious woman must have been a very strong individual in the sect that he didn't know of.
As such, Doko wouldn't dare to think of any weird ideas that could potentially end his whole family's thousand years of inheritances. He also couldn't risk offending someone from the sect, especially when he was still relatively new and still oblivious of many details.
In this generation, the three brothers from his family had been chosen to enter the Supreme Sword Sect, which were youngest brother Doko Joke, the second brother Dum Joke, and the most outstanding eldest brother Muc Joke.
"Doko Joke, let's not be too arrogant. I heard that among these disciples, two have already reached the low tier of the Spirit Foundation Realm, one level below us."
".." Doko Joke was unfazed, he silently gazed at a certain young man that had just exited the first examination ground.
It was said that the battle on the Immortal's Path had already started.
"Let's guess which of the two emerge first from the Immortal's Path."

I Don't Seem So Bright in a Well-Lit Room
The universe is a very strange place. It will take even stranger heroes to save it."Absurd. Existential. Ridiculous. Tragic. Comic. The antiheroes of "I Don't Seem So Bright in a Well-Lit Room" are a kind of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern with space packs, inadvertently colliding with their destinies against a starry background of witty wordplay. With a vision as sprawling and limitless as the loveably goofy universe in which it's set, Browning's wit, wisdom and heart are always at play, combining to form a wonderfully panoramic and very silly heroes' journey that visits every trope of its overlapping genres and draws moustaches on all of them."- Marcel St. Pierre, author of "Vengeful Hank" and "Cliché and Wind Go Hitchhiking".(Sci-fi /Dark Humour/Absurd) *Completed!
