“Great One-Horned Spirit Monkey?” Roy was astonished.
He didn't immediately recognize the strange monkey. So, he activated his skill to inspect it further.
☸Species: Great One-Horned Spirit Monkey
∷Rarity: Very Rare
∷Cultivation Realm: Qi Refining Stage
∷Gender: Male
∷Age: 10 years old
∷Abilities : Spiritual Slash; Spiritual Perception
...
Wut !?
It has already capable of using Spiritual Perception!
Normally, only Spirit Grandmaster Cultivation Realm and above that were able to use this ability.
Then, seeing him looking at it, the little violet spirit monkey grinned and squeaked, its hands gesturing towards him. Then it turned around and ran in the direction of the deeper parts of the mountain forest.
What did it mean by doing that?
[DING]
Mission System
Quest: Follow the Great One-Horned Spirit Monkey
Rewards: 50 System Points
Difficulty: Easy
Damn! the system's mission completion rewards are too tempting!
"The examination begin at noon right?" he asked Bubu.
"Y-yes.. the opening ceremony will start at noon." Bubu replied, he was left dazed while looking at the receding back of the strange violet monkey. After all, it was their first time seeing an eye-catching monkey.
"I'll go for a bit, wait here!" he said looking at a distance, in the little violet monkey's direction.
"Don't, Senior Brother! What if there was a danger or some traps?" Bubu and the other warned Roy to not wander around in the forest aimlessly.
"Yes Brother, in this dense forest, anything could happen." Pupi also tried to urge him to stay. "Moreover you have to prepare for the examination, right?"
"Hmm... I promise to come back fast!" Roy said to the helpless guys.
"Haaa" they sighed at his stubbornness.
Roy hesitated for a second before following the little violet monkey into the depths of the mountains.
What surprised Roy was the speed of the Great One-Horned Spirit Monkey as it weaved through the thick foliage. If not for Roy training in the Body Strengthening Scripture and using Phantom Dart, it would really be hard keeping up with the little violet monkey’s speed.

Half an hour later, after crossing many a small stream and forest area, Roy finally arrived at an odd looking valley while following the little violet monkey. It was quiet inside the valley with heavy spiritual qi that was spreading out from the inner valley, making Roy furrow his brows.
“Au au auk!” As Roy was seriously contemplating whether he wanted to enter the valley, the little violet monkey ran back out from within, squeaking at Roy. Apparently it wanted Roy to follow it into the valley.
After a brief moment of consideration and no danger was being detected, Roy lifted his foot and stepped into the valley, following behind the little guy. Entering the valley, a wave of thick spiritual qi hit Roy in the face, carrying an unpleasant odor. Not far into the valley, there were large piles and even mountains of dead bones scattered everywhere, belonging to an era long gone.
As they moved deeper into the valley, more and more mountains of bones decorated the scene. Even with Roy’s experience of two lifetimes which made his mind and will stronger than most children his age, he was unable to keep calm in this situation.
However, when Roy was about to turn back and leave, he suddenly came to a large plain of green grass with exotic flowers’ fragrances permeating the air. It was like a painted depiction of Eden had manifested into reality. In the center of the plain, there was a turquoise lake. Roy was dumbstruck when looking at the valley. Never would he have imagined the possibility of the front half of this valley being littered with dead bones, just like a scene from hell, while the other half was a utopia.
At this moment, the little violet monkey went up to a mountain cliff, squeaking and gesturing towards Roy while pointing to the top of the cliff. Roy walked over and his eyes followed in the direction pointed by those tiny fingers. Growing almost all the way at the top of the cliff on a short, thick, green vine were a few black colored fruits.

These black colored fruits made one who looked at it disoriented. Fragrance from the fruits wafted through the air, mesmerizing the audience.
“This… what is this? These fruits..” Roy was stunned, greatly astounded.
Black Pearl fruit grows on lands of extreme yin, absorbing nine types of yang qi between heaven and earth. If taken by people who cultivate a certain technique, not only can it enhance their cultivation, it also purifies the marrow and provides a pulp-washing effect, which will bring unimaginable benefits to one’s future cultivation.
"What the-" he rocked back a few step.
Roy was shocked to see there was a person amidst the pile of fallen leaves, seemingly in deep sleep.
A beautiful middle-aged woman was lying on the groundㅡher hair was messy and unkempt, a dirty-stained face and worn-out rags for clothes. Evidently, the middle-aged woman was unconscious. On the ground, next to the middle-aged woman were several small drops of blood, apparently spat out by the injured woman.
After observing the middle-aged woman for a moment, Roy hesitated briefly before walking up to her and poked her body with some tree branches.
"Ooi" Roy called softly, "Are you alive?"
"She's still breathing!"
Seeing there was no response, he decided to lift her up; since he had become a strong boy, his arm strength was not so weak that carrying an adult would pose a problem.
Roy placed her in the nearby grasses. Curiosity got the best of him, he then activated his skill .
What the -?!
