《The Divine Mortal》Chapter 15: Fight Breaks Out

"It has nothing to do with him!" he pushed Old Wang away. These were the principles Roy lived by. He could not let someone else suffer for him.
Although he had entered an immortal cultivators sect, he was unable to accomplish 'his' dream of becoming an immortal cultivator. He was doomed to forever be a mere mortal, doomed to serve others and doomed to live as someone of the lowest rank.
It's a fact that in this cultivation world, a mortal would never have a peaceful life and could only live in seclusion, unless they have some talent that would let them be taken in as a servant in some sects or families. Even so, they would still be oppressed by the stronger servants for being a mere mortal.
Hence, even though he had gotten a second chance, Roy did not hold much hopes of overthrowing his destiny.
"How audacious! What I hate most is seeing some mortal that act like a courageous fool," said Doko as he gave a cold laugh.
The whip arched backwards and lashed down onto both Roy and Old Wang like a poisonous snake.
SHAAA!
But, before the whip could touch their bodies, Roy's hand gestured forward in an attempt to catch the incoming whip's cracker.
"huh?" Watching what this foolish mortal was trying to do sent the crowd into an uproar.
Wowowo
"What is this mortal thinking? Is he a fool?" one of the cultivator present couldn't contain his urge to mock him.
"Haha.. trying to catch the whip barehanded! I understand. But if you're only a mortal at least don't act pretentious!" another responded with a laugh.
"Heh, don't underestimate the brat. He was able to defend himself from senior brother's attack earlier. Don't tell me you're already forgetting that?" a righteous junior brother retorted.

"Che.. He was only lucky, I don't believe there's a second time!" a big bellied guy said, clenching his round fist.
Tak! Tak!
"W-What!!" everyone gasped in shock upon watching the scene unfolded before their eyes.
The act of a mortal person grasping the other end of the whip that was lashed down onto him domineeringly could be seen.
"What the f*ck!" Doko was enraged instantly that his attack failed to injure the mortal for the second time.
!?
He tried to pull the whip back but figured that he was unable to.
What the ?
This kid. Who is he?
Aaaah!
Doko used his other hand to try break free, his face was fuming with great anger.
Only when he tried with both hands did he able to get his weapon back. Even then, only because he was using his maximum physical strength to break free from Roy's grip. A cultivator was struggling against a mere mortal in one-on-one contest of strength ? Moreover, he was 2 f*cking realm higher than the mortal guy. What kind of humiliation was this?
Thinking up to here, he released his full cultivation base to ensure his victory.
Woooong!
oooong
"Ei!" Old Wang suffocated, he felt that he was being pinned down to the ground by some huge claws.
Everybody present was startled, not expecting that this senior brother would use so much effort just to bring down a mortal person, he would go so far to the extent of using his full cultivation base against a mere mortal! Unimaginable!
"What.." many cultivators found it jarring to use such means on a trivial matter.
"This is truly scary. Good thing it wasn’t my Mei mei. Otherwise, I would die of sadness. It looks like Senior Brother Doko's anger is warranted. These servants truly deserve to die. If we don't kill a chicken to scare the monkeys, they truly won't be obedient!" A female cultivator spoke out.

Roy on the other hand wore a serious expression as this scene was resembling his first encounter with the old geezer. He was truly helpless at that time, without any means to escape. The terror that he felt back then made him tremble unconsciously while recalling such a scene! Back then, he was blacked out the moment that geezer released his cultivation base. Even then, those split second that he experienced was still terrible.
Although Roy's power now being in the level 3 granted him an equal strength to a cultivator in the Late Stage Spirit Foundation Realm, it was only his physical strength that was taken into account. Therefore, he would still find it quite hard to even fight a Qi Refining Realm Cultivator should they use their full cultivation base's power.
This is not to say that he would be totally helpless against Doko, he could use movement techniques to evade his attacks and comes out unscathed. But, his chance of defeating Doko would be really low as he was unable to injure Doko's body, once he conjures spiritual defense to protect his body from any physical damage.
That's why, Roy was desperately wanting to be a cultivator the moment he awoke today. This revelation made him aware and conscious that the system's feature of levelling up was limited, and not omnipotent at all.
Right now, Roy's best shot was to get Old Wang out of here to avoid implicating him on this whole farce. This way, he would then be able to think of a way to deal with this punk.
"Senior Brother! Please stop! What if the commotion here inconveniences the Immortal Senior Apprentice Moon?" the righteous cultivator guy from before spoke out.
But he was a bit late to convey his worries.
"Air Slash!"
Doko abruptly struck out his weapon towards the pair of mortal.
!!
At the moment Doko’s figure suddenly charged over, Roy’s expression changed greatly, and his eyes were filled with terror. At such a close distance and coupled with his sudden charge, Roy was utterly startled. Then with his hand swiftly grab Old Wang.
A snow white strand of sharp spiritual qi around a meter long shot out explosively towards both of them from the tip of Blue Hornet Whip. The speed of the spiritual qi was extremely swift, and it whistled as it arrived before Roy in practically two breaths of time.
When the sword qi arrived a meter away from Roy, he moved. His right leg stomped on the ground and relied on the strong repulsive force from this to shoot out swiftly to the side.
The whip and the ground collided with each other, and an explosion resounded.
BAAAMM!
At the place where Roy’s foot had been before, the hard floorboard there had already completely sunken down now. He had utilized his full strength in this strike!

Quirkless?
As a small child my whole perception of the world changed. I was surrounded by liars and fakes. Humans are such a cruel species, if someone doesn't fit they are cast out. People turn a blind eye to cruelty I've faced, people don't care about the quirkless. Except I'm not quirkless. Far from it. All I can say is my treatment in this world made me strong but cold, bitter and apathetic. I was the only human I could trust, I and I alone. Here is the story of how I ended up in my version of hell, UA. Surrounded by, well you know, just about every single person I couldn't get far enough away from. And an overkill quirk just about everyone wanted a piece of. Yeah I was dealt some pretty shitty cards, now you'll see how I play them.Uploads depend on my schedule but I'll try weekly also error will be made cuz I dotn proof read, when I've finished I'll go over it 😅 The story follows Izuku but if there's a change in povs there will be a indication ⚠️ warning swearing and violence⚠️
