《The Divine Mortal》Chapter 13: Meeting Immortal Maiden

What a shame, what a shame!
Just like Old Wang, he was a step away from entering a real immortal sect!
After getting off the mountain peak, they traversed through the mountain ranges and soon arrived at another tall mountain.
"Above this place is where you will be working in the future, the Holy Garden. Follow me up."
"Yes"
What kind of beasts are in the Holy Garden? Roy thought to himself.
As he climbed the tall mountain, Roy was starting to feel a little bit tired. Nonetheless, he was still feeling rather excited. After all, the shocks he was getting from this immortal sect were truly too big.
After climbing over a thousand stone steps that were covered in green moss, the Holy Garden was finally right in front of him. However, at this moment, following a sharp shriek, a huge animal soared to the skies right in front of Roy!
In the sky, snow-white giant birds were flying. They were over 20 feet long when they spread their wings, and they had black and white feathers with little red spots as decorations. One of these flying beasts could clearly tear a tiger or a leopard apart. Squinting his eyes to take a closer look, Roy identified them as the Sky Cranes recorded in the legends.
On one of the Sky Cranes sat a young girl in a white dress. Roy could only see her back.
The green silk from her dress fluttered in the wind. She had a slender waist and snow-white skin. Dancing with the Sky Crane was an image Roy had in his mind about an immortal girl in a heavenly palace. This was the kind of form an immortal girl from the heavenly palace should have and was completely different from the norms of the mortal world.

At one glance he was able to tell that she was definitely a strong cultivator, given her demeanor and aura she emitted. This was also sufficient to show how powerful and outstanding she was! And there should be quite a number of disciples that were similar to her.
At this very moment, the young girl in the white dress turned around.
Her features were delicate and she was definitely a peerless beauty. However, her expression was cold and her eyes were just like the butterflies who had lost their breath. Just like how the laws of nature were cold, most of the cultivators were the same.
"Lower your head!" At his moment, Old Wang rapped Roy's head fiercely.
"This is the Peak Master of Poro's Mountain, Heavenly Immortal Marja Moon! Not only is she a main disciple, she is also a direct disciple of the Sect Leader. Among all the disciples, her authority is probably the highest. She isn't someone you can look at directly!
Eee The Geezer's direct disciple huh..
"Roy, remember this: within the Supreme Sword Sect, you have to lower your head whenever you encounter any heavenly immortal!" Old Wang looked at him with burning eyes.
"Lower your head, or you die." he emphasized with a serious face.
The last six words kept reverberating in Roy's ears.
He could tell that Ol' Wang was very nervous.
"So the path of the immortals is even more merciless!"
...
Poro Mountain, Holy Garden
This particular garden was home to over 10 Sky Cranes. These Sky Cranes were extremely noble creatures. They refused to eat anything but delicacies, and could even eat the immortal treasures of the martial cultivators.
The Sky Crane was a type of magical beast. It possessed the bloodline of a true immortal beast.
Legend had it that these immortal beasts were even more powerful than demons or devils. They could soar through the skies, unshackled to the earth, and were powerful enough to overturn seas. They were as mystically powerful as dragons, phoenixes, and qilins.

"Wang, who is this?" When Roy arrived at the garden, a large group of tall and strong individuals immediately surrounded them. They did not seem to have pleasant looks on their faces. These individuals were young and strong.
Furthermore, they had been tempered within the immortal sect for many years and had boundless vitality and energy.
"He is called Roy. It is said that the Sect Leader brought him back from his travels."
Old Wang was the most senior individual here, yet he was not respected at all.
"Sect Leader? Haha. Don't jest." The group of servants began to laugh.
The one which seemed to be leading the group then stood up. "Since he was someone brought back by the Sect Leader, then he must definitely be an unparalleled genius. Why don't I test him out?"
His name was Kicu, and he was the head of the 100 odd servants on Poro Mountain. He was 32 years old this year, in his prime. It was said that he was at the fourth tier of the Qi Refining Realm, possessing the ability of one at the Strengthening Viscera tier.
"No!"
Old Wang used his frail and skinny body to shelter Roy before shouting,
"He was poisoned in the mortal world and has been crippled. Please don't trouble him." This was what his superior told him when assigning Roy to him.
Roy had never imagined that at a time like this, Old Wang would protect him, not even hesitating to go against this group of servants. Roy silently took note of this kindness in his heart.
If not for Old Wang, he would likely have received a beating, especially since Roy was new.
Since he was new over here, it wouldn't be funny if he got kicked out of the sect right away should he accidentally blast these people into oblivion.
What kind of a joke is this? a 30 something-year-old Qi Refining Stage wanna test me? Lol
At level 3, my strength should be comparable to a Late Spirit Foundation Realm Cultivator. So, these people bear no threats against me. Roy thought in his mind.
"Oh, turns out it’s a piece of trash." Kicu said, mockingly.
"Let's get the unpleasant things out first. Regardless of whether you're trash or not, you will have to do your work. If you miss even one thing, you will pay with your life. I, Kicu, am not someone who will sympathize with trash."
"Furthermore, Immortal Marja Moon is the one who handed me the responsibility of caring for this garden. She trusts me," Kicu said without any restraint.
"Oh really." Roy said absentmindedly.
"You.." Kicu was instantly irritated.

A Dungeon Tested
Its a hard life balancing all the things a successful dungeon should be doing. Will our newest addition to the dungeon race even survive let alone make it to the top where dungeons such as the megafauna roam? Or will our main character suffer in the dust till some inauspicious and ignoble death at the end of some F-rankers sword? Note this is me having some fun while I wait for new releases of dungeon stories. Feel free to comment on that basis. I will be keeping the first few chapters slow so as to give me plenty to build upon later. I have tentatively given this the gore tag for now. With that in mind "Let the games begin".

Wherever the oublivant resides, nothing but the undead exist, as all living life has been eradicated. Why it is, exactly, the oublivant seem so against life so as to break the passive rule dungeons have is unknown.
