《Drunk Dungeon》Chapter 7

Robert looked at the massive beast inside their Dungeon.
It had been some time since it had first entered. In total, the thing had woken up three separate times and had to be fed Robert's new and improved rabbits to keep it unconscious. Though it had started to struggle at the third time.
Robert wondered when Vocal would return, only for an alert to pass through their mind. Something had entered into their Dungeon.
Roberts attention quickly went to the entrance, hoping to see Vocal with an explanation on why she had been gone for so long.
Instead, a weird buzzing thing entered instead. It was small, barely larger than the fangs the beast before had shown when devouring its second meal.
Two thin pieces of organic material flapped around, nearly invisible even in the bright light that shined into the cave's first few feet.
Six blue legs popped out of its abdomen, with a long blue tail made of material coming from the lower abdomen. The tail was composed of a slick organic skin covering flat bumps. Each bump repeating every three-tenths of tenths of afoot.
Two large green eyes half the size of its body popped out of its front with a silver curve coming out right below that and ending in a sharp hook.
Robert immediately summoned three rabbits and ordered them to dog-pile it. If the beast were anywhere near as powerful as the one further down, then Robert had to tread carefully.
The three rabbits quickly charged at the small beast and leaped. The beast only had limited time to look up at the three furry Drunk Rabbits before they crashed down. Squishing it underneath their padded feet.
Congratulations! You have slain your first intruder! You have gained experience! You have gained a Pattern!

Mob List:
Drunk Rabbits Scythe Dragon Fly
There was one new entry on Robert's list. The Drunk Rabbit was probably the thing they had been summoning to feed the beast. While the Scythe Dragon Fly appeared to be the thing they had just killed. So far, it looked like Robert was screwed.
The Drunk Rabbits had only served as food for the beast in the deeper parts of the Dungeon and if they could kill this Scythe Dragon Fly. Then this thing was even weaker than the rabbits.
The name sounded so cool too. It gave Robert the image of a massive 'bug' as this thing was known as. But several times larger, Robert imagined a creature almost two feet long and two feet tall. With its legs coming out, now seven. Each one ending in a hooked shape. The endpoints made entirely of the stone of Roberts Dungeon. Yet compact and sharp.
Its two bulbous eyes stared out, laced with deep hatred at the prey it hunted. The hook that came out of its now laced with some liquid from their pond. Magical power pulsing off it with power that wanted to drain the life of anything it touched,
That was when Robert noticed that their exact image had appeared in the very entrance of the Dungeon.
More importantly, it had just devoured all three rabbits, that. Or it had been birthed from them.
Robert couldn't really tell with the mangled remains.
Fuck.
Fuck was all Vocal could think as she crawled out of the miny crater that the stupid hawk, 'no owl', Vocal caught herself. It had bombed the area she was right at. Blasting the stone around her and her with brilliant flames that smelled of cooked meat.

That she had to deal with its annoying bird laugh as it soared away while she was being cooked.
The only respite was that it had left, allowing Vocal's body to painfully and slowly reform from the ambient magic that the plants channeled. Along with her own.
Vocal slowly lifted herself up. Her appearance had turned into her original goat form, she had been trying to turn the form she had shown to Robert. The elegant 'she' form to be her permanent one. But unfortunately, she just couldn't manage it.
It always appeared. And it always scared off the more conscious or fragile Dungeons. Which was a shame since all the Dungeon she had found had been silver or gold ranked. Barely a bronze insight. Maybe it had to do with newer and stronger metals being adopted into Dungeon Cores to help them survive.
Or it was just random chance. Whatever the reason Vocal had found a lot of higher ranked Dungeons that her colleagues or opportunistic fairies had snatched when she was chased out.
Thankfully Robert hadn't done the same for her. And when they chose the theme it had created a small magical bond between them which had only deepened when she had gotten Drunk off their Drunkness.
Vocal had turned to alcohol to escape her sorry luck, so what!?
It had at least been better than those crackpot elves, though they would disagree since they seemed to have been having more success than their drunk dwarven cousins.
At least, lately, that seemed the case though they always dropped the ball sooner or later. Like the humans had.
Vocal slowly flew away from the crater, but not before snagging several plants including a silver reed she hadn't recognized. It was something that would help Robert in the long run.
It took her another hour before she found Roberts cave. As she approached the structure she found several normal rabbit corpses near the entrance. All of them having been poisoned. The last few next to the cave though were large, with thin skin holding a slowly growing bug inside it. Kept safe and healthy through a brown liquid.
Vocal was slowly getting more and more horrible feelings from Roberts Dungeon when she saw the massive bug right near the entrance, nearly a dozen brown rabbit corpses smelling vague of alcohol surrounded it. With seven weapons on it and eyes that reeked of hatred.
Vocal immediately flew away, flying back towards where she came from when she heard it. The slow chatter of things much too cruel to exist. Sentient beings,
Oh god. Social contact!

"What's that you say? I can never leave this reality ever? Good!" Ed, was a normal man in a world full of superheroes, so he didn't really have too many complaints when that first truck fell on him. After all he'd read enough comics to know that sometimes things just happen. Besides he'd been getting on in years when it happened, and his life till then, though lonely, had more or less been fully lived. The second time around when that one guy pushed him off a cliff for a chalice of immortal ambrosia, wasn't so cool though, and then there was that third time when he was just getting used to life as a lady, and that crazy goddess showed up out of nowhere and started ranting about purging the demon menace....then some other stuff happened and he briefly got to go back to earth before falling into a coma where he adventured in the world of dreams. Then the aliens came, and the dream ended and he was suddenly stuck being the AI Overmind for the whole damn star systm. The aliens died, and because he was all mechanical and what-not he just kind of had to keep on going. Forced to continue collecting the materials and data from countless worlds that were destoryed in the process. Then there was that whole war with the gods business that followed...mostly because of all that world destroying he did because of some fairly faulty programming. Anyway, thankfully someone pulled a "rocks fall" on that whole curfuffle, because by the time he was in control of himself again, things had long gotten out of hand. Now the powers-that-be tell him that he must spend the rest of his existence in single lonely section of the cosmos. Trapped in a single portion of a single universe. And now he weeps...No worries though, these are tears of joy. Hopefully this final unending existence he's been given will be the quiet life he's been looking for. A Man who's seen everything gets abducted by aliens and is converted into an AI that sits at the helm of a fleet of alien ships and behind the computer systems for most their planets. This Alien AI goes to war with the gods and ends up nearly destroying an entire reality. The Angels condemn the troublemaking AI to life as normal child on a far off world....All truth said, the "AI" couldn't be happier. His life's been far too interesting(read: Scary, Inconvenient and Painful) in his opinion and he could do with a bit of normalcy.
