《Reincarnated as a Team Rocket Member?!》Chapter 2 - Despair

Stunned. Shocked. Paralysed. You name it, I’ve just experienced it all.
From what I can gather, this world indulges itself in the ways of martial arts as a common practice. Either that or it might only apply to those who live in the underworld. My first impression of these three men in suits is that they’re professionals at fighting, and that heavily applies to my dad even more than them. Considering how he was able to easily lift and throw a man almost two times bigger in terms of muscle mass, and not only that but to execute those fast like reflexes in a matter of seconds is no ordinary thing, at least in modern day society it wasn’t. If I had to compare it to anything, I’d say it’s like watching that the level of my fathers martial art is on a completely different level to an Olympic champion. The level between Heaven and Earth.
Putting that aside for now, how am I supposed to survive in this chaos? Not that I can do anything though, I’m just a helpless, newborn, baby. Suddenly a second man joined the fray and aided his partner in confronting dad, and his Blaziken locked hands with the rampant Tyranitar.
“What are you waiting for?! Run, get as far away as you can!”
“No! I’ll help, we just need to wait fo-“
“GO! Our son is in the utmost of danger so forget me and just go!”
With tears in her eyes and a strained look on her face, my mother grabbed the backpack near her feet, turned around and ran into the woods, fleeing with all her might. I try to look back in hopes to see my father come with us. But all I do is listen to the sounds of a brutal fistfight as I’m held tightly to my mum’s chest. As I hear the sounds fade into the distance I can feel a chill run down spine, a cold and fierce killing intent was directed at us. It felt like a starved beast was hunting for it’s meal. It was the third attacker. He was gaining fast on the back of an Arcanine and was restlessly releasing a sea of flames from it’s mouth.

“Give up! Just surrender yourself and we’ll guarantee the boy's life! Hand over the data and it can all end.”
“You have the nerve to say that even now? Do you even know what that data’s for?”
“I only take orders.”
“You blinded dog!”
Upon the exchange of words had ended, mother called forth an Empoleon and Golem.
“Stall them!”
With a burst of groans from her pokemon they engaged in combat. Empolean blasted out ‘Hydro Pump’ towards the man in pursuit, and with a quick jump to the side Golem followed up with ‘Rollout’ and only grazed Arcanine’s foot. Although not much damage was dealt, the hit connected, and in that instance we were able to put some distance between us.
A steep cliff appears in front of our path as we left the shrubbery. A dead end. I stare into my mother’s eyes, they were filled with both determination and desperation. The determination to keep me alive, while having the desperation of leaving her husband behind. She brought out her third pokemon, Staravia, and with an unsteady tone she began to speak.
“Staravia, take my son and bring him to Giovanni, he’ll be safe with him.”
With great haste she hurriedly placed me firmly inside the bag and made sure I was secured in place. Streams of tears roll down her pink cheeks as she cries with immense sorrow.
“Don’t worry baby, *sniff* you’ll be safe. Mummy will protect you *sob*. So promise me. Promise me you’ll listen to Uncle Giovanni. *sniff* Promise me, that you’ll live a proud life, and remember that whatever happens I’ll always love you.”
With a light smile she embraces me with all her heart and turns back to the forest. Seconds later, Staravia picked my up with it’s claws, making sure it wouldn’t drop the bag and quickly takes off.

.....Useless.....I’m completely useless.....What kind of cruelty is this? I’m USELESS!
Bursting with rage I curse the fate that has been placed upon my family. I cursed those men in their suits. I loathed them. I loathed the organisation they belonged to with all my heart. But most of all, I loathed myself. My powerlessness to do anything for my parents. My father turned himself into a scapegoat for us. My mother sacrificed herself to stall them for me. I did nothing for them. They faced off against those creeps with all their might, even in the face of that overwhelming blood lust they gave. They were out for blood, for death.
My parents truly loved me to the very core of their souls. They truly felt like family to me. So I sat in that bag, crying helplessly, staring at the forest that I spent such a short time in. The place that I called home, and I watched it burn to ashes.
.....So this is what despair feels like..... how bitter.

A Friendly Shadow
***** NOTICE ***** I'm currently putting this story on hold For all my reader, thanks so much for any comments or just readin in general. But when I was writing his I noticed that my two main characters were starting to act and talk similar in the chapters I haven't posted so I've been taking a break to stop that. Sadly it kept happening and so I've decided to place the story on hold and work on other ones for the time being. ********************************************** Growing up as a fox with the common sense of a human can be hard sometimes, but Aria is determined make it through life. Meeting various people along the way and eventually finding one that will stick with her through thick and thin. Watch as our protagonist walks through a magical world with nothing but four furry paws! Author's Note: Just a heads up! I don't have a regular release schedule for this story. I'm just putting this up so I can see what other's think of my storytelling ability, plus the obvious spelling and grammar. Also if anyone can think of another vague synopsis then don't hesitate post it in the comment section! Other Stories that I have been developing are on my wordpress: https://karounight.wordpress.com/

An old man's new world
An old man on his deathbed has many regrets, but the one thing he regrets the most is not fulfilling his sense of adventure. What would he do if given a new change? I always try to make the characters as realistic as possible by giving them lives of their own and motivations for doing different actions, but because I'm a new author, I might miss a few things, so please, feel free to tell me if something feels fake or unrealistic. I also write as a hobby, and my motivation tends to go up and down. If I'm not feeling motivated, I won't force myself to write. This means that the upload schedule might have abrupt gaps and sudden spurts.

The Fundamentals
You hear of many tales out there. Some depict worthy heroes wielding tremendous power, noble personas that fight to save the lives of their close friends, family, and all the rest. Good triumphs over evil, that is simply the way the world works, no? While this premise is something inherent to nearly all stories, what exactly the heroes used to attain success can differ greatly. Perhaps they've trained themselves to the limit, pushing past boundaries nobody else could hope to achieve. Others still, have merely inherited the grand legacy of another legendary being, but what they have done with such a legacy would cause their names to be passed on for generations. Rowan is one of the heroes who have ventured beyond the horizon, tempering themselves on a perilous journey all the while and succeeding in attaining strength beyond measure. However, in an unexpected turn of events, this strength caused him to tear open and fall through a hole in the realm he resided in. Now he has ended up in a completely foreign realm, whose inhabitants utilized strange powers that eclipsed his own. Fortune would smile upon him this day, however, as he discovered that they were not hostile, and even offered to teach him their ways. Rowan could see that this was truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and eagerly accepted their invitation to learn what would come to be known as: The Fundamentals.
