I pulled the girl through the streets, Perryn beside me, all the way to Henry’s house. I stormed through the door, into the living room. Perryn had caught onto my bad mood, a scowl on his face. Everyone was sitting int the middle of the living room in a circle, drinks in hand. I threw the girl into the middle of the circle. Everyone drew back in shock.

“Perryn!” Kate gasped, seeing his expression.

“What’s going on?” Henry asked, “Who is this?”

“I would like to know the same thing.” The girl said haughtily, “I am not pleased with the way you handle me, woman.” She glared at me.

“You little—“ I started, taking a threatening step towards her, but Perryn grabbed my arm, silencing me.

“Some girl who thinks she’s some unstoppable myth or something.” Perryn said, “She’s a little prideful…”

“‘A little’ is an understatement.” I growled.

“My name is Myth the Unstoppable.” The girl snapped, taking a step towards me, her hands balled into fists.

Elizabeth burst into laughter, “You gave yourself your own nickname? That’s sick, girl. You don’t give yourself your own nickname.”

“Well, then. ‘Myth The Unstoppable’,” Tanner said mockingly, “What can you do? Show us.”

She looked suddenly nervous, “Er…well if I told you, then I’d have to kill you.”

Tanner smirked coyly, “How would you kill me?”

The girl ignored him and turned back to me, “So…Like I said before, I need the emerald of The Forgotten Isle.”

Instantly, the mood in the room went south.

Tanner’s smirk vanished and he jumped to his feet, snarling at the girl.

Henry slowly rose, behind him, sensing his distrust, a few servants stood ready. Elizabeth drew a sword and pointed it threateningly at the girl. Lydia coolly stood to her feet, reaching for her sword as well. The royals all looked confused.

“Outsiders know nothing of the emerald.” Tanner growled, “So how do you?”

“A man wants to kill me, unless I bring him the emerald.” The girl replied.

“Who is this man?”

“He is none other than the captain of the royal guard.”

I sighed, “We just can’t get rid of him, huh?”

The girl turned back to me, “And you have to show me where it is.”

“Ha.” I said simply, “I don’t have to do anything.”

She scowled, “My life is at stake.”

“Do I look like I care? You’re the one who challenged me. You’re the one who ran around screaming about how you’re this new pirate captain.” I stepped towards her, my eyes narrowing suspiciously, “Do you even know what a pirate does? Because…you don’t look the sort.”

She swallowed nervously, as she glanced around the room.

“You’re a fake.” I snarled, “You’re just here to get the emerald and get out. What’s your real name?”

She swallowed again, “Um…Etta.”

I nearly spat an insult abut her name, but I was interrupted by a crash at the front door. The sound of shattering made Henry straighten up, glowering. The living room door flew open, and the boy from earlier scrambled in, followed by two girls. He gasped when he saw us, “There’s more of you scary pirate ladies?” He demanded.

Leo snickered, but I glared at him.

“Nah, there’s only two more of us.” Elizabeth spoke up, “But the rest of the girls are scary royal ladies.”
