I snarled, “These children think they’re pirates.”

Perryn snickered, “Show ‘em how it’s done, Cap.” He said, doing his best imitation of Henry.

I swatted his shoulder, but turned and walked towards the commotion, Perryn tight on my heels.

“Anyone?” The boy continued shouting, “It seems that everyone on this island is a wimp!”

I snarled, but at the same time, I heard a growl from a familiar voice; Uthera.

We made eye contact and nodded to each other, coming to a mental agreement: Shut these kids down.

People went shockingly silent as we approached, making a path for us through.

“You threaten. I’ll be back up.” Uthera said under her breath as we approached. Neither one of us wanted our authority to be challenged by amateurs.

The girl jumped from the table and began to approach us cooly as we stormed towards her. Uthera pulled back a few feet behind me, her arms crossed, watching.

I stormed up to the girl, my fingers wrapped around the collar of her shirt, and I pushed my face into hers, shoving her back against the table.

“Serafina, Captain of the Predator.” I snarled into her face, lingering on the words ‘Captain’ and ‘Predator’.

Her face went pale in fear, all confidence shattering.

The room was deathly silent as I glared into her eyes.

“That’s my captain!” The boy suddenly cried, trying to break the silence. He still stood on the table and now knelt to peel my grip away. Instantly my other hand snaked out, grabbed his, and I flipped him coolly over my shoulder. Shoving the girl to the ground, I placed my heel against the boys neck, relishing as he squirmed in my grasp.

“Now.” I said slowly, “You seem new here. Let’s make some rules clear. I run this town. I’m the boss. You do what I say or you pay. This here,” I waved at Uthera, “Is Uthera, Captain of the SeaRay. If I’m not around, you do what she says. And that sailor you just threw across the room? He was a part of her crew. So when I’m done with you, you’ll have to deal with her.”

The girl had gotten up. She glared around at everyone in the crowd, “She runs this town? You’re listening to someone like her? Why?”

A few whimpers went through the crowd, before an older sailor spoke up, “Captain Serafina is the baddest pirate captain. We all fear and respect her. Captain Uthera is the cruelest pirate captain. We also fear and respect her. If you know what’s good for you little girl, you’ll avoid a fight with any of them.”

“It’s too late.” She replied haughtily, then turning to me, she said, “I am Myth the Unstoppable. And you happen to be the person I’m looking for.”

For a moment, there was silence. Then both Uthera and I burst into mock laughter.

“You made up your own nickname?” Uthera demanded, snickering.

I smirked as I turned back to the girl, “Run home, little girl. You don’t belong on this island.”

She glared at me, “I need the emerald of the Forgotten Isle.”

Both Uthera and I gawked at her in shock. I looked at Uthera. She glanced at the boy, still at my feet, and nodded at me.

I turned and lunged at the girl, my fingers tightening around her neck, my snarl was even more intense than the first time, “You are playing with fire and my patience is running out.” I tilted my head in Perryn’s direction and flicked my eyes towards the door. He nodded and quickly vanished out of it. I soon followed, dragging the girl behind me and leaving everyone behind me in shock.
