TEA: Telekinetically Enhanced Alkahest
Mortal tier recipe. No cultivation requirements
The name is more of a joke, but it does at least hint at how this solvent works. The fact that it held some kinetic effect and worked as a mortal tier alkahest gives no reason for the acronym. Instead it solely exists because its creator wanted it to.
Made to solve the primary issue with regular mortal tier alkahest, its alchemist inventor despised the separation process after using the all round solvent. Creating this alkahest wasted nearly a decade of his life, and his golden years enjoy himself, but supposedly the sight of watching this creation work overcame the grief for missing out on so many experiences. Only five years later did he backtrack on that and wish he tried to chase skirts far more.
Ingredients and recipe Mortal tier alkahest, 100 ml – non magical solvent Kinetic rebound quartz, 50 grams – non magical mineral Rooted weightberry, 10 berries – natural gathering stage fruit
What’s that?
You can’t understand why a derivative of Alkahest would need the solvent?
Maybe you should find a different hobby if that’s the case.
Alkahest below spirit forming stage is easy to purchase, and producing it is honestly just a pain. For the sake of not making this take longer than it has to, I won’t be going over any alkahest production recipes, there are already way too many of them. This is just a useful upgrade to the traditional solvent.
One might ask why this recipe took a decade to complete, and the answer is how ridiculous the solution was. It isn’t just a matter of mixing everything together this time, instead you actually have to separate and weigh things!
The horror!
The easiest part is dealing with the weightberries, as they only have to be juiced. Do this as necessary and make do with the remains, be careful if you consume these. They still contain a sizable portion of their effect, albeit in a weaker form. Each juiced berry will increase your weight by roughly 10%, the effect lasts between 3-4 hours and depends on your initial size.

Kinetic rebound quartz is a pain. It looks just like normal quartz crystals, except for the one minor problem where any force below a threshold will simply rebound back at you. There are an annoyingly substantial number of mortal miners that encounter this mineral and bash themselves with the back of a hammer when trying to chisel the gemstone out. Due to the minerals relatively impervious nature you find it in unmarred conditions, only leading more people to attempt mining it carefully.
Crushing it requires a massive exertion of force, typically something only a peak natural gathering stage cultivator can achieve. Alternatively, some larger grindstones can slowly break up the mineral. Please take notice of that fact that if the grinding fails then the stone will break.
For safety reasons, do consider buying the pre-crushed version of the mineral. The grains should be similar to that of sand particles, although larger ones akin to salt are fine too.
From here you need to split the 50 grams of rebound quartz into ten piles of 5 grams each. From here you need to carefully add differing quantities of weightberry juice to the piles.
Each pile needs to weigh a significantly different amount from another, luckily the amounts are already ready for you. Simply add the following amounts to each pile:
1st pile – No drops
2nd pile – 2 drops
3rd pile – 5 drops
4th pile – 9 drops
5th pile – 15 drops
6th pile – 25 drops
7th pile – 32 drops
8th pile – 44 drops
9th pile – 63 drops
For a total of 195 drops of weightberry juice. Please note that the actual content of the drop is unimportant, instead you must ensure that each drop is the same. Whether each drop is 0.05 ml or 0.2 ml does not matter, but if you make the first drop 0.05 ml then each successive drop for this recipe must be that volume.

With this annoyingly precise step completed, one that may require the Mental rejuvenation technique, you must allow the fluid to settle in each pile. This step takes seconds for the 2 drop portion, but almost an hour for the 63 drop pile. You will know the step is done as all the juice dried off.
Pour all the juice coated crystals back into your generic alkahest and mix vigorously with a natural gathering stage tool. Any mortal stage tool will dissolve in seconds, and then you’ll need to buy a replacement.
Well done, you did all this work to reduce the effort put into separating a normal use of alkahest. Was it worth it though?
Usage
This alkahest derivative solely exists to remove the regular separation process in the mortal tier solvent. Upon dissolving anything, it will separate the contained elements by density.
This worked due to the weighted kinetic quartz, which effectively forms layers in the solution to separate any two materials. The reason that only one material can exist in each layer is due to the kinetic function of the quartz causing a mess and slowly filtering it through due to the chaotic effect of two elements of different densities.
Now for a new problem. Extracting the layer you actually need.
