Omake Chapter : Option 2 : What if Lin Lingtian spared Shen Xiu's Life and didn't take her as his War Prisoner ?

[ Shen Xiu's POV ]

Looking at my now " Husband " , she couldn't help but grit her teeth , ' To think that one day I would be married to the man that has killed my family .' Sensing a powerful whirlpool of soul force erupt from him . Shen Xiu couldn't help but gulp .

' Maybe being married to this monster was not so bad . I just have to stay on his good side and the sacred family will rise from it's ashes like a phoenix but much much stronger .' Seeing Lin Lingtian look at her brother , a sense of dread filled her .

Her heart almost stopped as she saw her brother brutally get murdered by Lin Lingtian .

A primal hatred arose in her heart .

" YOU MONSTER ! " Turning into her Scared Flaming Fox form , A fireball shot out of her hands flying towards Lin Lingtian .A force pushed her body into the ground as she felt darkness envelope her .

Sitting in by the pond , Shen Xiu looked at the fishes swimming merrily in the pond .

Her life was ruined .

She was in a coma for 3 days and after waking up to the horrifying news that she was all alone in the world . The Surviving members of the Sacred Family that were not in the territory of the Sacred Family had joined other families .The land that once belonged to the Sacred Family was distributed among other noble families .Many noble families that were vassals of the sacred family had taken over their businesses . The money , weapons , demon spirit stones and scrolls that were contained in the Sacred Family's Vault were gone , presumably stolen by that bastard Lin Lingtian .Now here she was alone , helpless as the City Who thankfully didn't find any evidence of the Sacred Family and the dark Guild being involved with one another as she presumed that someone of the Dark Guild had cleaned up any evidence they had or maybe the City Lord knew of their involvement and was using her as a bait to fish out other remaining members . She didn't know if that was the case or not but she knew that now that the sacred family was no longer useful to the Dark Guild , their alliance was over .

Gritting her teeth , She vowed to herself that Lin Lingtian's head will be hers and she will make sure he regrets letting her live .Sitting in a lotus position , she began cultivating .

She will grit her teeth and endure all of this humiliation and one day she will make sure everyone who crossed her will pay dearly .

For Shen Xiu , the last month could only be called enlightening .

With knowledge from her nephew Shen Fei , Shen Xiu knew that the demon Spirit that could help her the most was the Snow Sakura Demon Spirit .The hooded figure who attacked Huyan Lanruo was indeed Shen Xiu who had used her new Demon Spirit " Snow Sakura " to make Lu Piao and Du Zhe into her slaves who revealed everything to her about Nie Li and the techniques they cultivated .

Using their cultivation techniques , she had broken through to the gold rank .With Nie Li , getting out of the coma and returning to the Holy Orchid , Shen Xiu had Du Zhe get her the a cultivation technique from Nie Li that best suited her . With the Snow Sakura Demon Spirit , she had gained control of all the aristocrat families especially the Heavenly Marks Family which was currently rising in power and was being favoured by the Alchemist Association . The leaders of the Demon Spiritualists Guild and the Inscription Array Association had turned into her puppets as her power with the enormous amounts of resources and the cultivation technique she had from Nie Li had made her extremely powerful . With Lu Piao and Du Zhe under her spell , she knew everything that went on within their group .

In the shadows she would hide as her power grew , with only one goal in mind .

Feeling a pressure force her body to the ground , darkness enveloped her .

Waking up in a forest near a fire , her eyes shifted towards Lin Lingtian as she tried to shift into her flaming fox form but pain erupted from all over her body .

" Don't try it , you are now a prisoner of War God ."

Listening to his words , Shen Xiu tried to understand what he meant ? Was the War God Lin Lingtian's backer ?

Seeing a red omega tattoo on her hand , she calmed herself as she didn't look at that bastard .

What should she do now ? She needed to calm herself and think of a plan to kill this bastard .The omega symbol glowed as she felt pain like bars of hot iron being shoved into her body .

" Don't try it , any plan that involves you scheming against me , would result in pain . "

" T... then what are you going to do with me ? " Shen Xiu said as she backed slowly with her hands covering her chest protectively .

Lin Lingtian looked at her and rolled his eyes ," Yeah , that ain't happening , I have standards to maintain . " Hearing him say that , anger filled Shen Xiu as she shouted ," what's that supposed to mean ? "

Lin Lingtian ignored her as Xiao Ning'er said ," Can't we just kill her . "

Startled by Xiao Ning'er's appearance , Shen Xiu pointed her finger at her ," Y... you ..... "

Lin Lingtian looked up and said ," Shen Xiu , Shut up ! "

The omega symbol glowed as She felt the muscles of her mouth tighten caused her mouth to shut tightly .

" Seriously , can't we just kill her ."

Lin Lingtian didn't answer as he closed his eyes while tending to the fire .

[ Shen Xiu's POV ]

Traveling with Lin Lingtian ,Xiao Ning'er and Yu Yan all over the Divine Continent was enlightening .

She had met so many people , some many new experiences .Looking back at herself , she at first tried so many schemes to kill Lin Lingtian but it never worked yet Lin Lingtian never once screamed at her , never caused her pain , never physically or mentally abused her .Traveling around and seeing the conditions of humans living in the divine continent struggling in their own ways was humbling to her .

The battles they fought made her stronger .

But seeing his power grow , seeing the heavenly Tribulations , seeing him wipe out hordes of thousands of demon beast using the Earth Dao Scripture : Square Seal of Heaven .His power to devastate the land using the Chaos Dao Scripture : Desolate Arts . For mountains crumbled , oceans dried up as he destroyed green valleys turning them into deserts and turning deserts into lush green plains was mind numbing .Seeing his army trample over the corpses of thousands always victorious was demoralizing .

She at first wanted revenge but now .....after everything they had been through she knew that revenge wouldn't fix anything , and even if she did kill him it would do nothing to bring back those that have fallen. She realized this after she tried to give away their location when they were being tracked by THAT entity in the Black Devil Forest . She wanted to bring all of them down with her but seeing him stood infront of her taking the attack that would have killed her made her feel sad as she thought that he would die in her hands .

She should have been happy but only misery and despair remained as she saw his charred and burnt face , blood seeping down his face .She blacked out after having a panic attack .

They had survived but no one talked to her .

Xiao Ning'er and Yu Yan were always indifferent to her but when Lin Lingtian woke up , she was happy that he was alive and then it hit her .

She had lost the desire for revenge after seeing his power .

She began to respect him when he always treated her as an equal not as a slave .

She didn't know it but she had began to care for him .

After he woke up , he didn't treat her any differently then before cause her to feel more and more ashamed .But seeing him smile as he happily ate her apology gift even though she knew that cake was pathetically made , it made her realize that the fool that was happily eating her pathetic cooking was someone she truly cared for .

Laying in his arms , I glance at the Xiao Ning'er and Yu Yan lying on top of Lin Lingtian .Last night was quite the pleasurable night , as she still couldn't feel her legs .A smile broke out on her face . This chapter in her life was something else . With her sisters and husband , they would began their journey towards the upper realms tomorrow .
