Each step that Lin Lingtian in his terrifying form took spread fear in the hearts of Shen Hong and the dark Guild members .One of the dark guild members in his meerkat demon spirit form got on all fours as hundreds of small toxic needles were shot towards Lin Lingtian . A few inches away from Lin Lingtian all the toxic needles stopped .

They were held by gravity in air .

The spear in Lin Lingtian's hands moved forward as all the toxic needles moved at high speeds towards Shen Hong and the others .Shen Hong in his Sacred Flaming Condor took fight dodging the toxic needles as he coldly looked at Lin Lingtian .The meerkat disappeared from everyone's line of sight and appeared next to Lin Lingtian with its claws dripping in poison.

A few meters away from Lin Lingtian , the meerkat appeared with it's right hand completely missing as blood dripped on the ground .Just before his claws could make contact with Lin Lingtian's body . Gravity slowed his momentum and increased Lin Lingtian's speed to completely dismember the meerkat's hand .Looking at their companions injury , the dark guild members abandoned the idea of fighting in Close Quarters Combat .The members of the Dark Guild began to attack Lin Lingtian with long rang attacks .A 3 star Black Gold rank in his black fox form took a deep breath and shot a volley of purple fireballs towards Lin Lingtian .

A 2 star Black Gold rank in his snow bear form punched the ground with giant shards of Ice forming on the ground and rushing at Lin Lingtian .

Taking a deep breath , the snow wind corpse worm split itself into multiple copies as the moisture in the surroundings began to be devoured by it .The moisture condensed in the mouth of the snow wind corpse worm as a sphere of ice shot towards Lin Lingtian .Standing before the attacks , crimson soul force covered Lin Lingtian's spear . With a wave of his weapon a crimson arc engulfed all the long range attacks of the dark guild members .With a Jade Green Glow , Lin Lingtian's hit the ground .

" Wood Dao Scripture : Pholoe's Forest "

The ground began to shake as giant Vines began erupting out of the soil all around them .Moving through the sea of vines , the dark guild members were separated from one another .Each trapped within a sea of trees .The branches turned into a figure as each member of the dark guild couldn't help but be shocked .A figure was walking towards each one of them .Each dark guild member saw someone they would consider to be very close to their heart ,the man they devoted their life towards , the man that will lead them to become rulers of the world .

The Demon Lord

Outside of the forest , Lin Lingtian in his armour smiled .This was one of the nine Techniques of the Wood Dao Scripture .Currently he could only perform four of the nine Techniques of Wood Dao Scripture at his level as the next 5 Techniques were just out of his league of power and even then he couldn't even bring out 100% of the four Techniques he could use .

For example : The Advent of the World Tree , this Technique was not named just to sound impressive as this Technique when used in its 100% can make any seed sprout a plant so big that it could engulf 9 universes . Looking up , he saw Shen Hong cautiously observing him . Trying to observe and find out his weakness that he could take advantage of .Inside the Pholoe's Forest ,the trees released a pheromone that makes anyone inside think of Someone most close to their heart .Closing one eye , to take aim and then opening it to regain his depth perception Lin Lingtian threw his spear to the Flying Sacred Flaming Condor .

Barely missing by a hair's length , Shen Hong felt his body engulfed by a force as his body was forcefully brought to the ground .

" Y...You ." Shen Hong couldn't help but get more and more jealous of Lin Lingtian . This power , these techniques .How could they get in the hands of this brat ?

This brat was not worthy .

Opening his beak , a stream of fire flowed towards Lin Lingtian .

From the stream of fire a gauntlet emerged at grabbed Shen Hong's neck stopping his attack .

" Thanks , it was getting chilly in here ." Lin Lingtian's voice spoke out as he had walked through the stream of fire unharmed .

" Let go of me you bastard ." Shen Hong grunted out .

" Really ." Lin Lingtian raised an eyebrow thinking ,' Who says that during a fight ? ' Lin Lingtian body twisted as he delivered a devastating liver shot .Shen Hong felt his kidney , liver and ribs explode as blood flowed out of his beak .Lin Lingtian released Shen Hong who was coughing on the ground .Like a professional soccer player , Lin Lingtian kicked the ball that was Shen Hong's head .He couldn't help but sigh . How much longer would it take for the illusions in Pholoe's Forest to take effect .As soon as the thought left it , pillars of red erupted from the forest behind him .Lin Lingtian stopped the Pholoe's Forest illusions on the dark guild members .

The Trees of the forest were cut in two as a red light was approaching him .All the Dark Guild Members had used the Heart Berserker Technique on the orders of the Demon Lord they encountered in the forest .Their objectives was to kill Lin Lingtian by any means Necessary .After encountering Lin Lingtian's power they knew without the Heart Berserker Technique , they couldn't fight Lin Lingtian .Lin Lingtian's eyes widened for a second as a blade of ice clashed against the Berserker Meerkat .

Lin Lingtian could feel it . These Dark guild members had lost their sanity and were much stronger then before .He could feel the War God Technique circulating .

His ice blade broke after a few minutes of enduring the agile attacks of meerkat .Clenching his fist as the moment the meerkat came near him . Gravity increased and decreased and increased and decreased causing the meerkat to decrease so much that Lin Lingtian's grabbed him with his jaw and body slammed him to the ground .The tips of Lin Lingtian's gauntlet emerged into claws as Lin Lingtian's grip on the meerkat's face increase .

The body of the meerkat went limp as his skull popped under lin Lingtian's monstrous grip .

The other Berserker members charged at Lin Lingtian as they emerged from the forest .Taking a deep breath , Lin Lingtian manipulated Soul force in the same way the mutated Blood Alligator did and formed a dome of earth around him .

Using the clicks of his tongue , Lin Lingtian used echolocation to determine where the enemies were .

" Now ."

Outside of the dome , spikes formed and began to twist as the paw of the Berserker snow bear crashed into the giant spinning spike ball .

Blood flowed out of the Bears paws as Lin Lingtian emerged from the top with an axe made of ice which dismembered the bears snout .

A stream of purple flames made it's way towards Lin Lingtian and the Berserker snow bear that was still attacking Lin Lingtian .Gravity shifted as Lin Lingtian jumped and dodged the fire with the bear being roasted alive .

( ~ Thud ~ )

Landing in the middle , Lin Lingtian saw he was surrounded by the remaining Berserker members of the Dark Guild .

( ~ Caw ~ )

Hearing it , Lin Lingtian turned and saw Shen Hong in his full demon spirit form as all the humanoid features were gone , replaced by the body of the Sacred Family Condor .In it's beak was a giant fireball .

Lin Lingtian couldn't help but say ," Mother Fu...."

" Hahahaha , that's what you get for being so arrogant you damn brat . You think , you are worthy to fight me ." Soul force erupted out of the smoke stopping Shen Hong's arrogant speak.

He saw something move past him .As gravity caused him to crashed into the ground.His entire right wing was gone .

The smoke began to clear as what he saw terrified him .All the members of the Dark guild were impaled by multiple slabs of rocks emerging from the ground and what he sensed from Lin Lingtian was that he was much much stronger then before .

" Thanks , that attack gave me the final push ."

Lin Lingtian said as he clenched his fist .He had broken through to the 2 star silver rank .

Stretching his hands , two spheres of black and white formed and began to get bigger and bigger .With their size to that of a beach ball ,the ball began to merge into one and then condense forming a black orb with a white ring on it .

Looking at the roaring berserk members of the Dark Guild . Lin Lingtian chugged the condensed Yin Yang blast towards them .

Only a crater remained as Lin Lingtian's attack had completely eviscerated the bodies of the Dark guild members .Lin Lingtian walked towards the absolutely terrified Shen Hong .

" Sen...."

Before Shen Hong could even plea to Lin Lingtian , he was impaled through the stomach by Lin Lingtian's spear .Ice Attributed Soul Force flowed through his spear as Shen Hong's entire body except for the head was encased in ice .

" S...Spare me ."

Lin Lingtian ignored him as he glanced at the mutated Blue Armed Giant Ape .

" You Bastard !" Shen Xiu screamed as she looked at Lin Lingtian .Picking up Shen Hong using the spear that impaled his stomach and Shen Xiu with gravity , Lin Lingtian glanced at the monkey and closed his Eyes

Looking at Shen Xiu , who was quite .....too quite . Shen Xiu froze as she looked at her brother who was being held by Lin Lingtian." W....what do you w....want ? " Shen Xiu said in a terrified voice .

' Finally let's remove this annoying Heart Demon Soul Contract .'

Lin Lingtian nodded as he felt the Heart Demon Soul Contract react to it .As a true Cultivator he knew more then anyone what the Heart Demon Soul Contract was as he had seen it in the astral plane of existence.He concluded that it was for the best to just fulfill the conditions of the Heart Demon Soul Contract .Well the Sacred Family was destroyed and now he has to just marry Shen Xiu .

This is going to be the shortest marriage in history . He is going to get married and then his 'wife' Shen Xiu is going to met a very unfortunate end . ' Boohoo ~ See his heart was breaking just thinking about it how much sad he would when he has beloved has no head .'

Shen Xiu wearing a vile to cover her face made of ice as she clenched her fist .To think her marriage would occur like this .Her family was dead and she was here marrying the scum that killed everyone .

Shen Xiu looked at her husband who was indifferent throughout the entire ceremony .

Shen Xiu looked down . It was supposed to be my special day yet now I am married to this monster .Lin Lingtian while found himself in the astral plain of existence .His body and the Heart Demon Soul Contract was becoming smaller and smaller as he felt his soul truly merge as one with this body .

Clenching his fist , Lin Lingtian couldn't believe it . Removing of that annoying status had not only giving him freedom but had also allowed him to advance to the 3 star silver rank .Looking at Shen Hong , Lin Lingtian clenched his fist .

" Aaaaa ! " Shen Hong couldn't even scream for long as his head exploded and was replaced by a tree that grew towards the ceiling .

" Kyaaaaa ! " Shen Xiu screamed seeing her brother die Infront of her eyes and looked at Lin Lingtian with as much hatred and killing intent she could muster .

" You Monster ! " As she shot a fireball towards Lin Lingtian .

Who backhanded the fireball which destroyed the walls of the building their " Wedding " took place .An orb of light emerged from Shen Hong's corpse which caught Lin Lingtian's attention .Even without looking at Shen Xiu , Lin Lingtian had her knockout by using gravity to slam her into the ground .His eyes flowed the orb of light as it floated towards the dome in the sky into the main nether flower .

More orbs of light were floating towards the main Nether Flower .

Looking downward , Lin Lingtian froze .

He could hear his heartbeat.

Looking at the smiling members of the Sacred Family who were smiling as their bodies burned, their eyes melted like liquid , the smell of burnt meat had engulfed the land with an erie horrifying silence as the world burned in flames as their souls or the orbs of Light floated up .

War was just destruction .

People sometimes forget that in War you are not fighting some monsters . You are fighting against your fellow man .Like those people who are drunk in their own power , Lin Lingtian was the same .

Lin Lingtian who was an art student in his previous life , always lost in his own fantasies .When transmigrating into another world with a system he thought of himself as the hero who will always win , the hero that everyone needed , the hero that was always right . Lin Lingtian who was trapped in his own world thinking of himself as the hero with power that fueled his own delusions of being the protagonist now faced true reality of his actions .

The World burned in Silence as Lin Lingtian looked at his hands .He remembered all the faces he had killed .The Arrogant Woman who scammed him for money but in grand scheme of things that money didn't matter .

He could have let it go .

He could have walked away .

But he didn't.

Other faces flashed Infront of him as he looked on and on and on .This was the consequence of his actions .

He was free from the wishes of the previous Lin Lingtian but now he has come to face the ugly side of war as his character is going to go under massive character development and growth .
