Abnormal status detected: Mind control New skill: Mind magic resistance(Minor)
Where the fuck am I? My body feels like stone. I can’t move. I put all my might into it, but the most movement I can muster is the fluttering of my eye lids. Not enough to open them, but enough that they are twitching.
I have been mind controlled. Robbed of all personal freedom. My greatest fear. Not a fear like the fear of spiders. A deep existential fear. The kind of fear you feel after waking up from a bender. The fear that you’ve lost control of your life.
I’m going to kill them.
There are two roads you can’t take when you have lost control of your life. Depression or anger. Never before have I felt such hot anger. How dare they do this to me? Normally I’m calm and depressive, but having my personal freedom ripped from my control. I don’t know who I am right now. I’m going to kill them and everything they love. I’m going to wipe their ideology from this planet. I’m going to kill every practitioner of mind magic in the world. Then I will burn all the books that exist about it. I don’t know who I am right now. I’m me, but angry. Even when fighting the dragon I wasn’t angry. I had noble goals, inspired by the kobold’s sacrifice I vowed to free them. Both because I was the main character and because it held to my belief in freedom. I don’t feel like a hero right now. I feel like I’m going to kill them. No fancy speeches. No big climatic battle. I’m going to get free then murder them in the most efficint way possible. I use that anger to push my body beyond. I focus all my effort into opening my eyes. The more you do something the quicker that skill goes up. I have nothing else to do than boost my mind magic resistance.

New skill: Mind magic resistance(Medium)
With it only mentaly straining me to resist and my anger fueling me through any compiled exhaustion. I have reached the next step. Suddenly my senses return. It wasn’t that I couldn’t open my eyes. It was that the signals that my eyes sent to my brain were being blocked by magic. I was in the same yurt they greeted me in. Tied to a chair with an abundance of rope. Why the ropes? I still can’t move my body. I can only perceive from my senses. The sun was shining through, but I had no clue if it was even the same day. I tried to move. Starting with the first digit of my finger. If I regained control of one part of my body I could keep fighting this magic until the other parts returned to me.
The sun sunk behind the horizon hours ago, but I still can’t move.
The flap of the yurt opens. I can’t move my eyes to look towards the person who entered. I feel a cold point on my back. It slides down between my wings. Then it reappears again by my wrist. I observe the clawed hand sliding a knife under the ropes. It’s a kobold. He’s not a kobold I recognize. I recognize his dagger though. It is one of the ones that I got off of Robin Hood. I inspect him, he’s a newly evolved kobold thief. When did that happen? He frees me from the ropes then looks me in the eyes. We stare at each other for some time before he places his hand on my chest. He looks confused.
“Move?” He asks in a hushed tone.
I wish I could reply to him.
Pawsteps from come from outside the tent. The kobold quickly flees as Suprem enters the yurt. His horns haven't regrown. He sniffs the air. “Smells like a kobold.” He looks at me. “Was a kobold in here?”

Like I’d ever tell him, but my lips move on their own. I quickly work on doing anything but telling him. “Yes, my lor-” I will not call him my lord. To call him lord is to admit he is better than me. No matter what spell he has me under. “Lor?”
“LooorRRrrrRRRrrRRrr fuck off.”
His eyes widen. I see them moving from right to left as he reads through my status. “No way.” He laughs to himself. “You’re scary dude. Two weeks and you’re already halfway resistant to my magic.”

Re-Ordaining of the Chosen
Alea cheerfully hummed as she descended the steps, brimming in upbeat while her colleague, Quarren Leos, shot her a look of skepticism. “So… were you right about him?” he asked doubtfully. She came to a stop for a moment, her humming falling silent before she shook her head, waving her medium length light-blonde hair from side to side. “I was wrong about him.” Quarren raised an eyebrow in confusion at the convoluted response.“But you seem quite happy?” he asked again. “Because I am. But I was wrong about him. He was… so much more than I ever expected.” Alea looked at the sky overhead with a smile. “That boy… no, that man, is amazing. I firmly believe he will come to stand on top of any adversary he faces. He is destined. He is Chosen.” Quarren snorted as he stepped past, shaking his head. “Okay. Each to their own beliefs but you’re sounding like a nutjob. That skinny twig? Everyone calls him a cripple, you know,” he shook his head.“Rumours are always false, Leos,” Alea answered with a disapproving shake of her head. “You wouldn’t know. He is so, so much more.” “I saw him with my own two eyes. I didn’t see anything redeeming,” Quarren rebutted. “Well…” Alea chuckled. “You haven’t seen what I’ve seen.” In the year 917 of the Imperial Calendar, the Great War had just ended between dozens of nations. It was common belief that they possessed special blood blessed by the Goddess Stecia, who gifted the lineage to the first King of Farrien when he first founded the country. All were ecstatic when the current generation of the two Archduchy's, after the war, agreed to let their children wed. The excitement was short-lived however when the Aerianne Princess proved to be a dragoness among men but the Kanarian Prince was worse than even mediocre. The Prince disappeared and the wedding was shortly forgotten as society lived on. Until one day the Young Heir of Kanaria returned to Farrien a changed man, bringing demise with him. Follow the story of the Chosen ordained by the Goddess of Time as he returns to the past to right his wrongs and set things back straight again!
