The team that’s representing Universe 7 has just been formed, it’s 11 members are: Shadow, Goku, Vegeta, Trunks, #17, #18, Cooler, Gohan, Piccolo, Krillin, and Tien. Gohan explains the plan to attack their opponents as a group, but Vegeta agrees with Goku's assessment about how avoiding single combat is a sign of spineless behavior, declaring that saiyans never believe in there being strength in numbers.

“That line of thinking is shortsighted.” Shadow retorts. “In combat, there is no such thing as honor or fairness. You of ALL people should know that.”

“Strange, I didn’t expect you to be a coward?!” Vegeta asks mockingly. “Where is your pride as a saiyan warrior?!”

“For your information, I am a saiyan-demon hybrid” Shadow exclaims in annoyance. “My intelligent demon half keeps my idiot saiyan half’s desire to fight in check.”

The revelation that Shadow is part demon shocks everyone, except for Whis, who reveals that he knew for some time now. Whis then orders everyone to come together in a circle and hold hands. Retaining their resentment, both Shadow and Vegeta refuse to be in a "friendship circle" with Frieza as the team starts to leave and ends up holding hands with Beerus. After arriving at the World of Void, The Universe 7 saiyans are greeted by Cabba and are introduced to Caulifla and Kale when they sense the energy from the Universe 11 team’s Jiren. All of Team 7, excluding Shadow are in shock and fear of Jiren’s power; Caulifla sees this and insults the Saiyans by calling them wimps for acting scared of Jiren. Later, the Great Priest emerged from the center of the arena and explained the rules for the tournament once again. Gohan then proceeds to go over the battle plan one final time. During Gohan’s rehashing of the plan, Shadow sees Cooler walk off to the dark side behind the pillar with Frost. Soon afterwards, both Zenos express their desire to start the tournament and with the fighters prepared, with Great Priest's word, the Tournament of Power finally begins.

With the start of the tournament, shockwaves, explosions, and energy blast can be seen and felt in every direction. As Shadow is fighting the warrior, Dyrasem from Universe 10, he notices other warriors from Universes 3, 4, and 9 closing in on him. Shadow then quickly defeats Dyrasem, knocking him out of the ring and then begins to run as he is assaulted by a horde of ki-blasts.

The other universes must see me as even more of a problem than Goku and Jiren because I possess a plethora of techniques and abilities. Shadow thinks to himself as he’s dodging various attacks.

After a few minutes pass, Goku and Vegeta successfully eliminate all of Team 9’s warriors and the Zeno’s then proceed to erase Universe 9. As all the warriors stop fighting out of shock of what just, #17 punches Botamo in such a way that he is slingshotted out of the ring causing the other warriors to resume the tournament.

After Jiren stops Kale’s rampage, the Kamikaze Fireballs, Ribrianne, Kakunsa and Roasie transform into their magical girl forms. Shadow immediately turns SS1 while racing towards the three magical girls and then delivering a mighty punch to Kakunsa, sending her flying straight towards the 11th Universe’s Supreme Kai resulting in her disqualification. Angered, both Ribrianne and Rosie begin to battle Shadow.

“HOW. DARE. YOU. ELIMINATE ONE OF MY PRECIOUS COMRADES…!” an infuriated Ribrianne. “Prepare to face a maiden’s ang- WHA--?!”

“You and your entire universe’s concept of love is as shallow as a puddle.” Shadow remarks with deep annoyance.

Ribrianne’s monologue is interrupted due to the fact that Shadow grabbed and began to use her as shield against Roasie’s Yacchaina Fist Ki-Blat Barrage. Ribrianne is damaged to the point where she can’t move, Shadow takes advantage of the situation and throws Ribrianne straight towards Roasie and then fires a single Blaster Shell, knocking them both out.

As Shadow takes a moment to look out into the vast nothingness of the World of Void, he thinks to himself, That’s odd. I sense an overwhelming power, but it can’t be Jiren’s because it’s overflowing with malice.

Shadow then is suddenly ambushed by Caway, a female warrior from the 4th Universe with her energy hammer, but Shadow dodges and appears behind her on top of a large boulder.

“You stand no chance against me.” Shadow says with a calm demeanor. “Do me a favor and jump out of the ring.”

“OH? You talk a big game, punk, but you sure do have no idea what I’m capable of!” Caway replies as she begins to remove her cape and then pose in a seductive manner.

“Do I look like a simpleton to you?” Shadow says as he fires a ki blast, knocking Caway out of the ring. “There’s no use hiding, I can sense your presence. Come out or I’ll destroy this entire area.”

“So you knew I was there?” Says Dercori as she emerges from the shadows with a villainess smirk.

“Come on, let's get this over with so I can move on to more worthy opponents.” Says an underwhelmed Shadow.

“Don’t you dare patronize me!!” Says Dercori as she throws her energy talismans at Shadow.

Shadow casually blocks the talisman only to reveal that it was just an illusion. Shadow then immediately jumps towards the pillar and then wall runs to the top.

WHAT THE?! Shadow thinks to himself as a colossal Dercori appears out of nowhere and swat him away as if he were a bug. Shadow quickly recovers while still in midair and lands safely on the ring floor where he finds the real Dercori as she’s powering herself up in darkness. Taking advantage of the opportunity, Shadow uses his telekinesis to both paralyse her and to put her gently on the benches, eliminating her. It’s at this moment that a nearby boulder is destroyed to reveal an angered Ganos of the 4th Universe.

“My friends… Two of them… You took them down.” Ganos mutters.

“What? Am I really going to have to take on all of team Universe 4?” Shadow says out loud with a clear lack of interest. “Alright, let's get this over with.”

Upon hearing this, Ganos charges up his energy and transforms into a larger, more muscular bird-like form, his super form and lunges at Shadow with a vengeance, throwing rapid fire punches and kicks. However, despite the increase in power, Ganos proves unable to actually Shadow due to the overwhelming gap in power. Ganos fires a ki blast that manages to send Shadow flying several yards, but Shadow gets back up without a scratch and uses the Lullaby Punch, putting Ganos in a drowsy state. Ganos then shocks himself with his own attack, waking himself up.

“That might have worked on me about 5 minutes ago.” Says Ganos as he manages to knee Shadow into a boulder.

“Alright, I’m done with this fight.” Shadow says as he gets back up and prepares to fire a Thunder Flash..

With great desperation, Ganos begins to fire beams of electricity to stop Shadow, but he is undeterred and fires the Thunder Flash. The wave of flames washed over a section of the battlefield, engulfing Ganos as he was knocked out of the ring. As the smoke clears, Shadow notices that Frost is sneaking up behind him, he fires consecutive energy blasts forcing Frost to retreat. Shadow turns to see that Goku has just now fired the Universe 7 Spirit Bomb at Jiren.

Jiren takes Goku's Spirit Bomb head on and pushes it back with his Invisible Eye Blast. The two struggle to control the massive concentration of ki, with Goku again utilizing X20 Super Saiyan Blue Kaio-ken. Ultimately, Goku's power gives out and he collapses, falling into his imploding Spirit Bomb. Initially, everyone except Shadow believes Goku to be dead, the remaining fighters prepare to collapse on Jiren. However, Goku emerges from the crater, having undergone a new transformation due to the power of the Spirit Bomb combining with his own innate energy to resist it. Unlocking his deepest potential, he has reached a state referred to by the gods as "Ultra Instinct". Seeing Goku's new power, Top and Dyspo make the attempt to aid Jiren, but Goku holds them off effortlessly until Jiren dismisses them. Goku and Jiren then resume their battle, the pair now appearing to be evenly matched. The battle rages until Goku burns through his new energy and drops back to his base form mid-attack. Jiren prepares to throw Goku from the ring before Hit intervenes, attacking Jiren.

Shadow along with Cooler give chase to Goku, who flees after his loss to recover. Cooler is able to catch Goku and prepares to charge a blast.

“No one will be able to see us behind the pillar.” Cooler says while aiming at Goku.

Goku, fearing for his life screams, as Frieza fires his attack; however, to Goku's shock, he is alive, and Cooler laughs and reveals he gave him some of his energy. While Goku is puzzled by what just happened, Shadow begins to heal Goku’s wounds.

Before jumping back into the fight, Cooler says that “I hate to admit it, but I need you to fight Jiren. Even though I didn't give you much, knowing that you’re you is more than enough to get back on your feet and begin recovering.”

After Jiren defeats Hit and Gohan while in a Potential Unleashed Super Saiyan state defeats an SS2 Kefla, Shadow, #17, and #18 go to protect Goku from Zarbuto, Rabanra, and Zirloin of Universe 2 who've all just transformed.

“You villains are all going to pay for knocking out our comrades!” says Zirloin as he points at the four Universe 7 members.

“We will strike you down with the hammers of love and justice!!” says all three members of Universe 2.

“Prepare for Number 17, vanquisher of the 2nd!” #17 proudly proclaims in response to Zirloin’s declaration.

“It is I, Number 18, wicked co-vanquisher! You will know my godly fury!” says #18 going along with #17’s skit.

Both #17 and #18 look towards Shadow. “Hmm? OH. And I am the devilish Shadow and I am here to bring the 2nd universe to ruin!” says Shadow with a tinge of embarrassment. The six warriors then proceed to engage in combat.

Shadow and Zirlion begin throwing rapid fire punches and kicks. Zirloin then fires a Pretty Cannon, but the attack only hits Shadow’s afterimage and the boulder behind it. Zirloin then lunges at Shadow with A Gentlemanly Charge, Shadow manages to block the attack, but is being pushed back by the charge. Not seeing another way out of this, Shadow throws Zirloin over his head and then dodges another Pretty Cannon. Zarbuto and Rabanra fire a team blast attack at Shadow, but #17 blocks it with an energy barrier.

The three universe 2 members then begin to prepare their team attack, the Pretty Black Hole. #18 fires a ki blast in an attempt to knock them off the arena, but the attack is absorbed by the black hole and becomes larger in size. Shadow fires a Big Bang Crash, but the attack is also absorbed. The Universe 2 warriors launch their attack at the Universe 7 members, #17 alongside #18 and Shadow are trapped in the Pretty Black Hole.

“I assure you, you’re mistaken if you think you won.” says Shadow while kneeling due to the gravitational effects of the Pretty Black Hole. “IT’S NOT OVER UNTIL IT’S OVER!! RRRAAAAGGHHH!!!!!!!”

Shadow stands up and transforms into SS4 and fires a Final Shine Attack, the attack manages to break out of the Pretty Black Hole and hits the Universe 2 fighters. The warriors of Universe 2 are eliminated as Gohan eliminates the Universe 6 Namekians with a Super Masenko. Both Universes 2 and 6 are then erased by the Zenos.
