Chapter 10

Confrontation

“Hoh! You’ve grown a lot powerful but that is not enough. You lack experience. You have to defeat me to get past here or else you won’t be able to save them. Ha-ha!”

The general says while grinning at me. I was calculating every way possible way to defeat him but It still wasn’t enough. He was a monster. I knew my methods were inexperienced and weren’t precise but it wasn’t my fault that I was experimented and wasn’t even allowed to freely move for five years. What did he expect from me? That after so much time I would be able directly defeat him without any real combat experience and proper techniques.

But right now I had to defeat him in order to get to the Red Castle and help The Valkyries escape. Time was running out. All the battleships that were with the Chloros family had their energy cannons targeted at the Valkyries. They weren’t even going to give them a chance to defend themselves. The energy cannons were almost fully charged. That cannon might not able to destroy the Red Castle but other normal battleship around the Valkyries will be thoroughly destroyed.

If I do not go and send the Red Castle with The Valkyries away from here ASAP, They will be wiped out.

Few Moments Earlier.

Only few minutes were remaining, till we arrive near the Fleet of The Valkyries. Dr. Otto was, like always, doing his report on the observation or in any changes. There weren’t many elite soldiers guarding the door either. Must be because of the battle that will be occurring soon. The remaining time on my body was forty-three hours but every time I use my powers an hour will be reduced, so I had to take care of all the people here within forty moves without making any commotion.

To be honest it was going to be quite hard because I haven’t used my powers in any type of battle before but thanks to Mei I had many types of fighting techniques, methods and skills downloaded in my mind. I haven’t used any of the techniques or ability in real life. The main abilities I will be using was Telekinesis, Psychokinesis and Enchantor (Mind Control).

Either way I have to start now.

Dr. Otto was observing a monitor placed in front of my capsule filled with water. Suddenly, the brain movement that were below average, spike up and were constantly moving up. Dr. Otto confusedly looks at me. But he freezes when he sees I was staring at him the whole time. He immediately tries to push the danger button which would notify the whole ship about my escape. I can’t have that, now can I? I use my power to stop his movement. My Scarlet Bloodred eyes and Crystal Blue eyes were shining while my silver hair was floating in the water. Other scientist were confused and were panicking but they still hadn’t noticed I was observing them. When they saw Dr. Otto unmoving and frozen in a place while looking at me, they moved their head towards me and just like with Dr. Otto, I was staring at them with glowing eyes.

The moment they saw me they immediately tried to run towards the door where the elite guards were while trying to scream to notify them. But I wasn’t kind enough to let them do as they please. So I use my powers to freeze their every moments. Now they were like statues with moving eyes.

It is a pain to say telekinesis or Psychokinesis every time so let’s just call them psychic powers from now on. So after that I use my Psychic powers to open the lid of the capsule. Why didn’t I use my powers to break through the glass of the capsule, you say? Are you an idiot? If a person wants to escape from a glass capsule, of course, the first thought in their mind is to destroy the glass but do you really think it would be that easy. First this glass is reinforced so no ordinary person can break through it. Second if you break it, it’s same pushing the danger button to let them know that I have escaped. So, naturally I won’t take that risk when I can easily escape by avoiding it. I don’t want to be a OP protagonist who moves without thinking about it thoroughly.

After I open the lid, I imagine myself levitating. My head slightly pained while thinking that but it wasn’t much. After that my body starts to float slowly in upwards. I remove all the wiring in my body and levitated my body out of the glass capsule. My silver hair had grown quite a lot, enough to reach my chest. I carefully landed in the floor. I wasn’t able to fully control it as this was my first time so I only used it once. Even so my body was constantly breaking. Many cracks had started to appear in my face too. I had lost more than ten hours of my remaining time just now.

Dr. Otto and other scientists were looking at me fearfully but I didn’t have the time to play with them.

I snap my fingers and immediately all their heads were severed from their necks. I let go of my powers that was holding the headless bodies in place. The moment I did that their bodies fell to the floor dyeing the floor in blood. I gave it a glance and then turned away.

I was only wearing a undergarment currently. After searching I found some clothes that were like made for surgery and a white T-shirt.

But it was good enough than to move naked. I wear a T-shirt and a trouser after drying my hear using a gown. Hey! What did you expect? I wasn’t in a hotel or something. This was the only thing I could dry my hair with.

Mei was finding me an opportunity to escape from this place and It seems she was successful.

“Mei, Did you find it?”

“Yes, master.”

I can speak to her by thinking or by physically using my vocal cords. This latter methods was most useful because in the former I have to sort my thoughts and carefully highlight what I was I trying to say and sometimes all my thoughts would get jumble.

But as I was using my voice to talk to Mei, who can’t be seen or heard by other, from other’s perspective, I would look like an person with mental disorder. So, I have to make sure to use it carefully depending on the location.

“Well then. Let’s start, Mei.”

All my abilities could be used by Mei as long as I give her permission.

“Create a clone with the given specs.”

As I said that I transfer a spec list to Mei, which I made by sorting out my preferences. I could control my clone in every way. I could even make an infant or very old version of my clone.

The spec I gave to Mei had a clone with had all of its limiters removed, sharpened senses to maximum and so on. I did it so that I could bring out the most of all of my abilities. I could still modify it after transferring my soul there but it would be quite painful procedure so, even if I couldn’t feel pain I would have to suffer sensation of breaking and recreating my body, so I’d rather do it now.

If the clone is successfully created then, it will have high intelligence with its brain capacity fully unlocked, maximum body strength in the same type of body I was in right now.

After few minutes I could feel my head was being dizzy and I was constantly losing my energy. I could see my energy from my body being converted into a black mist. The black mist was taking a shape of person and after sometime I could see myself rather my clone standing there.

“Master. The clone is Successfully created with all the specs you asked. You must hurry and transfer your soul in it as it won’t be able to survive for more than few minutes. And Please remember to immediately activate me.”

“Good work, Mei. Don’t worry, I will remember. Well then I will see you in a bit.”

The moment I said that, my hands and legs started to broke into pieces. It seems the burden of creating a clone in my condition was even more than I expected. I knew it was going to hard but if I had delayed it any further it would have been a bit of a problem. Thinking that I start to transfer my soul to the clone just like doing an astral projection. My consciousness was on brink of fading away. I couldn’t sense my surrounding but Suddenly, my point of view expanded. Now not only I could feel my surrounding but also the energy flow. I could see the constitution of the energy around me. The energy was so vast and deep in our universe I couldn’t even see the limit of its uses.

I wanted to know and comprehend it by staying in this form but it wasn’t possible. If I don’t hurry not only will my clone die my soul will disperse too. But now I know why nobody was able to comprehend this space energy. Because to gain the knowledge about the space energy you have to look and sense it in a soul form but if you can see it in a soul form, it is only if you’re dead. So, if you know it exist and want to prove it, this is the only way but as the saying goes,

‘Dead Men Tell No Tales’

If you’re dead it doesn’t matter how much knowledge you gain from this process, it’s useless. But for me who has many psychic abilities and have high brain capacity it will be hard to complete but not impossible. Well most of it was thanks to those experiment but so what? Now these powers are mine.

‘Even so, Damn, I’m Lucky.

I hope it doesn’t run out at crucial times.’

While thinking about such things I carefully transfer my soul to the clone. The moment I entered the clone I couldn’t sense the energy flow clearly like before. That must have been thanks to my soul form.

Just after entering the new body I felt my heart wasn’t beating but after some moments it started again. It seems my body was like a car without engine and driver, the soul, but after I settled in the body the soul provided energy to drive the body.

I slowly open my eyes. Everything was okay. Thinking that I give a voice command to my AI, Mei, who is not fully activated and can only be activated by saying few code words or a password. It was necessary because now even if I were to be controlled by someone I wouldn’t be able command Mei. Mei might be an AI but she also won’t accept my commands as long as I’m not fully willing from my soul. Even so, there are many ‘What if..’ In this vast space, so you can never be too careful and cautious.

“Activate Voice Command.”

“Voice Command Activated.”

“Initialize Code-MEI.

Authority- Administrator.”

“Authorization Required.”

“Authorization Granted. Password,

Code-ALPHA-EHA01003598 .”

“Authorization Complete.

Welcome Back, Administrator.

Activating Code-Mei.

Complete. ”

“Welcome Back Master.”

After all that back and forth with a voice that sounded so robotic and monotonous, I was missing the Mei’s old voice full of teasing. It was much better than the robotic tone. And now I finally hear her voice.

“Thank You, Mei. I would’ve loved to just sit, listen and talk to you without a care in the world but it seems we don’t have much time.”

“Eh! Umm.. Y-Yes Master.”

I thought I heard Mei stagger a bit but I do not have the time because few of the elite soldiers are coming our way as we speak.

“Master, The general is on the move.”

Crap!

Reaaa~aally! Dude, Come on!

“Mei, Activate Your Full Power.”

“Authorization Required.”

“Granted.

Authority-Administrator. ”

“Activating. Complete.”

“Good. Let’s move out.”

I moved towards the door. First I was going to take care of those elite soldiers.

“Master Space warp is complete. The fleet of the Valkyries is now visible.”

“Very well. But, Mei, how are you going to control the Red Castle?”

“Master, You just have to go outside there, near the Red Castle and I will take care of the rest.”

I halt my movements immediately. I could see a small projection of Mei in the form of small fairy in my Scarlet Eye which was infused with AI system. But that’s not important. Did she just say I have to go out ‘there’, in space? That is more or less suicide, you know? I wanted to retort but I again ask Mei calmly.

“Mei, you do know that I am a human, correct?”

“Yes, I’m aware. Master.”

“And you do know that humans cannot breathe in space, correct?”

“Yes, master.”

“So?”

“Is master not aware of his Space Energy?”

“What do you mean?”

“Well, Before Master couldn’t use the space energy and even if Master could your body wouldn’t have been able to endure it. But now it seems not only have Master awakened Space energy, your body is also quite compatible with it. And now with the help of space energy Master can make a small space around himself, just like a barrier, containing air and will be able to breathe.”

Mei was saying that to me as she was giving a Daily news. But it seems I have gained a profit from the soul transfer.

Then I again change my focus to the incoming elite soldiers coming here. I don’t want to attract unnecessary disturbance by confronting them directly. The general is also on the move and I can say for sure it’s because of me. So, I’m going to quickly get rid of these annoying small fries and try to escape from this ship. The best place to escape is from the Hoverjet Hanger.

“Mei, Are there any soldiers in the Hoverjet Hanger?”

“Yes but most of them are either moving out or are going to be stationed somewhere else so, there won’t be a problem if we escape from there.”

After confirming that I get ready. The soldiers come through the door. The moment they see the room filled with blood and corpse with me staring at them with bloodlust eyes, unlike the scientist, they immediately go into battle mode. They weren’t some ordinary people. They had gone through various battles but against me it wasn’t enough. Even before they could get their hands on the weapons, hanging on their waist, I sever their head from their neck using my psychic power with a snap from my fingers. It may seem my psychic powers are invincible but in various situations, it could be useless. Why? Because it doesn’t work against people who have psychic abilities themselves. They will be fighting in a stalemate forever as their powers will be useless against each other. Now you know why I’m so hesitating to confront the general. It may seem like I have the advantage but not only am I only familiar with my psychic abilities and I don’t even have much battle experience.

But in the other hand that general could have many cards up his sleeve. He also has much experience too. So I have to get out of this place as fast as possible without getting caught by him.

As soon as the soldiers breathe their last breath I move out of that room. Thanks to Mei I had all the routes of this ship in my head and Mei was showing the way from my Scarlett eye. Using my stealth abilities to the fullest I head to Hanger. But suddenly Mei drops a critical news on me.

“Master The general has disappeared from my view. It seems there are route that are not registered in the server.”

Well, F**k.

The part with my remaining emotion, which is also me, was cursing the crap out of the general but if cursing could kill someone he would’ve died a long time. However in the other hand the part of my mind connected to the AI was calculating every way possible to defeat General. It was like having parallel minds working on a same body but the only problem was one mind was only useful in talking to himself (or Myself) and cursing others.

“Try to Track him but mainly focus on the danger in the current route.”

“Yes, Master.”

Lets hope I don’t die because I have a gut feeling that he will be meeting with me very soon. Because of my enhanced body I had a lot more stamina and endurance so I reached the hanger very fast.

There were no soldiers in the hanger. It looked like it was abandoned. In the middle of dozen of Hoverjets, there stood a tall person with a tail behind his back. I exactly knew who he was. Unlike the previous time where I was powerless to even resist and got beaten to pulp, Now I had the power to fight back. Even so it wasn’t going to be easy but it wasn’t impossible either.

The general looks at me with a grin in his face.

“It seems like you’re trying to escape which means you want to go to ‘that’ place, right?”

I didn’t even need to ask when he said that place. He was obviously talking about me escaping to the Valkyries. And from the looks of it, he wasn’t going to let me go without a fight.

“Let me guess, You integrated with the AI and got the knowledge about them and want to take refuge on their ship, correct?”

Yes, that was a part of it but if I can’t I will let them escape from the Chloros family and after sometime Valkyries will get their revenge for me. However I had to make sure they escape even if I die and after that I know they will come back for revenge. Slowly but Surely. Why? Because we admire the same Person. But I wasn’t going to tell the general that so, I kept my robotic poker face on.

“But if you have indeed integrated with the AI that is a part of this ship, you may also know that they can’t defeat us so, why do you wish to get there? Do they have something or what you wish is that…?”

The general asks me with his hand on his chin. The last question must have meant for himself. I was getting a little frustrated with his correct deductions. I could see how he became a general. This guy is freakin’ Cunning and smart. And from the looks of it he has realized my motive. I was too late.

“Ha-ha-ha. Yup! You truly are very interesting. You don’t even know them yet you wish to save them. Ha-ha. Truly Admirable.”

Shit! He knows everything now.

“Lets make it more interesting, shall we? Currently we are hidden among various side families of ‘that’ family who betrayed them. They don’t even know that they are about to be destroyed and yes if you escape and warn them it will be a little hard but not impossible.”

So they are fully sure that they won’t try to escape, huh! Sorry to break it to you but I’m not going to let you destroy them.

“I have quite a high positions among these ships so,”

After that he touches his ear or something that was in his pointy ears.

“All ships. Ready the Energy Cannons and Prepare to Open Fire. I repeat this is Code Silver.”

Shit! This guy. I want to freaking kill him so badly.

‘Mei what is code silver.’

‘It means that there might be some problems in the mission so the schedule is changed and the mission starts immediately.’

Damn!

“Now then What will you do, Subject?”

The moment I heard him say that the general disappears from his position. No he was flying towards me with a terrifying pace. Then I feel a sharp pain in my cheeks. The next thing I know I was inside a thoroughly destroyed hoverjet that was behind me a moment ago.

He sent me flying with a single punch that was powerful enough to destroy a metal ship. But my body was reinforced and enhanced by a lot so I was alright. I only had few broken ribs.

Right when he punched me I could follow him clearly using my eyes but my body couldn’t react in time. I slowly walk out of the wreckage.

I only had one way to train my body to react in time. Yes, I was going to use the general as a training buddy.

I adjust my breathing which was a key component in a fight. Then ready my battle stance. I adjusted my footing properly because I was going to boost myself at general using my foot muscles. I could see some battleships taking their cannons out from the see through glass behind the general. I had to hurry.

I confirmed the position of general and launched myself at him. It seems he was aware that he couldn’t bind me with his psychic abilities and neither could I. He was trying to move or resist.

I threw lots and lots of punches at him but he swiftly dodged all of them. He was even able to punch me. I couldn’t win like this.

‘Mei, Battle-Mode.’

‘Understood. Activated.’

Just as the general threw a punch at me I swiftly dodge it or Mei did it for me. And I threw a full powered punch to his stomach simultaneously that sent him flying few meters away near the wall. I could see the general’s eyes twitch a little with that.

But now his grin was gone he was staring at me like a prey with a fierce look. I could see bloodlust pour out of his body. That was enough to suppress weak people with ease.

He immediately came ahead of me and threw a much powerful punch at my face that was enough to kill me if it landed. I used my both hands to block it. As soon as it landed on my hands I could hear my bones cracking from the intense pressure but he wasn’t stopping. He started to punch me rapidly without stopping.

I could only block these powerful punches. After adjusting to it I dodged the incoming punch and threw a punch myself at his face. It wasn’t weak enough to make the general take it head on. He used one of his hands to block it immediately but I wasn’t going to him a chance.

Immediately after that I threw a roundhouse kick at him using all of my body weight and producing a lot of momentum. He was again pushed back by few meters.

It wasn’t enough though. I knew he wasn’t even going all-out. He was just playing with me. The ships had their cannons out already.

Just as I was thinking of next move. He moves ahead of me, not with a punch but with his legs. He kicks me powerfully but I block it with a kick myself by spinning once to produce momentum. I was barely able to block it but the next moment he does something unexpected.

His tail, which had become quite large was coming at me with a terrifying force from the momentum of his kick. I wouldn’t be able to block it but as if my body was moving on its own I force the kick to pass through the kick thrown by him. He was not able to kept his momentum on both tail and legs so, I kicked his legs away and using that momentum I bent my back behind, just enough to let the tail pass through the place where my head was. I could see his long tail moving in a terrifying pace. Even though I was bending my body a lot It was just above my eyes.

Thanks to Mei operating my body, I was able to survive that deadly attack. It must have all happened within a seconds from a viewer’s perspective.

I glance at general to find him staring at me with a grin.

And here we are!
