Chapter 4

Pain

After he passed out, I took him inside the restroom, then stripped him and tied his legs and arms, while also putting a piece of clothes in his mouth so he won't do anything 'funny'. After that I hung an 'out of order' sign in the restroom door and locked it from inside so that nobody could enter. Then I looked at my target to see if he was awake. He is something bizarre to say the least. He has a green skin, Small horns and tail, and Small green hair. He was like a humanoid goblin from those anime. As if noticing my gaze he wakes up, looks around and immediately tries to get free from the bindings. I was still wearing my mask. But I couldn't have him wriggling around so first I had to install fear on him and make sure that he understands that, if he doesn't comply I will kill him in the most painful way possible.

I pulled out my custom knife from the body suit and without a second thought I cut his three fingers off. Now he was wriggling in pure pain all the while looking at me with his bloodshot eyes. I cut all of his fingers from his foot this time and only then I asked him.

"If you're willing to comply nod your head, If you do not, I have many other methods to make you."

I said in a very deep voice all the while letting out my bloodlust to kill him and it seems he understood what I was saying as he was trying to make a decision. After few seconds I decided to give him a push by moving my knife towards his remaining fingers. It seems he understood the meaning behind it and frantically started to nod his head.

"I will ask you questions and if you do not answer within three seconds I will cut every finger that are remaining in your body and also pull out one of your eyes and after that I will ask you questions again. If you do not comply then I will increase the pain you're feeling. If you understand than nod your head."

I said in a deep voice. He again nods his head. And after few hours, Just as I wished I got information about various things and methods that will help me move around in this ship more efficiently. Just as I was trying put the clothe back in his mouth. He fearfully speaks to me.

" I told you all I know so please let me go. I'm begging you. Please."

After he said that I couldn’t hide my rising emotions at all. First, I was simply shocked. This was one the same army commander who must have used his unit to wipe out humans in various region. However, If he had simply told me to give him a painless death I would have complied and even granted it and he could’ve died with his pride but he was begging for his own life even after taking so many lives in earth. Even when I came here I had to literally pass through mountain of fellow humans and right now the fact that he was begging me to spare him disgusted so much I could feel my stomach turn. But more than that, I was simply furious. The only thing I knew was that this was one of the invaders who took people close to me and he had the guts to ask to spare his lives. My rage was getting out of control. I put the cloth back into his mouth and started to chop his legs and hands and started to punch him till he was a step away from dying. After that I cut his whole body horizontally in a single slash. I would’ve loved to torture him to death but I simply didn’t have time.’ I wanted to make him feel so much pain, that he would’ve begged me to kill him, Its such a shame that I don’t much time.’ I thought to myself while looking at the scattered pieces of his body. After a few moments I calmed myself down and hurried as the dawn was nearing.

I was planning to destroy this whole ship down by attacking the most crucial part of any mechanical device. The Engines. I got the information from my second target from this ship. Well It was the only way to kill the people in this ship because I didn’t have the power to do it with my own hands. If I had, though, I would’ve massacred every single life on this damn ship. Its not like I was a saint or a monk who hadn’t taken any life and honestly, I had the blood of too many people in my hands. I had to fight my own kind for simple food, shelter, and medicine because If I didn’t I would be the one to die next. So If I could I would have Slaughtered everyone on this ship without batting an eye. But they are simply more powerful than me, but I’m going to use everything on my arsenal to make them suffer.

From the information I have gathered It seems that my guess of being General the highest ranks is correct and formation are almost the same as the military from earth. But the most important is that, The general has to obey the royal family which is most likely in the important looking ship in the middle of all those battleships. I found that there are many royal families out there in Space. There origins are unknown due to lack of information but this Royal Family which invaded the Earth is called 'Chloros'. One of the most powerful family out there. This family has territories over many other galaxies. This family is mostly known for their cruel and inhumane experiments to obtain more power. Not only that they are connected with many illegal work but also space trafficking, corruption, smuggling and many more. Simply put, this family is a piece of shit. However what surprised me the most was, The area around where our solar system and many millions of light-years in radius was made neutral by one of the most powerful family few thousand years back and if anyone disagreed and invades here they would be considered enemies by that family. Remember this though one light year is equal to 9.6 trillion kilometers, which might not be considered much in space however multiply that 9.6 by a million though. How powerful that family must be to hold this much space for thousands of year.

So Why did Chloros family attack even knowing they would be considered as enemies? Because in this few these thousand year Chloros family was accumulating power to overthrow that powerful family and when they had enough power they launched an all out attack in earth and are waiting for that powerful family to step-in. There was a lot of gaps in-between these information. I also cannot even verify them. Among them main point is that Chloros family might have gotten strong using various experiment but what about that powerful family though. Did they just sit and watch without doing anything? Even if I don’t know them personally I do not think so. Also this Chloros family is a confirmed second degree however I do not even know the name of that family or any information on it. My second target only used words such as 'that' or 'powerful' to describe them because even that guy who was a ranked officer wasn’t allowed to know that, that's why I cannot say they are not a third degree civilization because It seems this family has many other royal families as its branches. A single royal family is enough to bring earth to its extinction without them even breaking a sweat but that powerful family has royal family under it. That's why that family isn't taking action itself and was rather having one of its Royal Family under them take care of it.

So, Conclusion, These Invaders (Chloros Family) offended someone they shouldn't have because they are idiots as they haven't realized this yet and that someone (That Powerful family) is having others(Branch Royal family) to take care of it because most likely they don’t even think it as a threat and that's why invaders are preparing for a war.

While thinking that I took out a white key card which I took from my second target. This card will give me access to the main section, However the general is also there as it is the main part of the ship which gives access to not only engine room but other military section, Pilot cabinet, ration storage and many more. After that I ran as quickly as I can to the main section because now there are two dead soldiers and once they get a little suspicious they can catch me in a snap. After Fifteen minutes of continuous running I was exhausted. But the hallway was still going. There are many ways to get to the main section using vehicles or walkway which was much longer that is to show how big this ship was. I used the walkway because it was long so that was barely used anyone meaning perfect place for an intruder like me to go without getting noticed by anyone. I rested for five minutes and started to run again but only after running for another fifteen minutes I saw a door that can be unlocked by a key card on it. I quickly opened and stealthily went inside.

I started to search for the engine room which was in section 'E'. I searched for a while and finally found it. It had another key card lock so I opened it and went in. Inside were gears as big as a bus. This was a delicate yet powerful mechanism. Nevertheless, I was still confused to how this ship was floating in air but that can wait. The gears were constantly moving and making lots of sound. Among these, In the centre of all these moving gear, there was a big glowing crystal. It was in a glass like structure and was independently floating inside the glass without touching it. The glass was then connected into different wires. I could see light blue energy moving through the wire. If my guess is correct then this is the energy source of this battleship. I couldn't even comprehend how this orb was powering the whole ship but that wasn't my concern. If this is the power source than the moment power source is disconnected this whole ship will fall down from the sky and even better some explosions will occur, destroying this whole ship. Hoping my guess would come true, I took out two of my handguns and aimed at the power source, then I pulled the trigger or I was trying to, But my whole body stopped responding to me.

'What happened?' While asking myself that I tried to move my body but I couldn’t even move an inch. I could only move my eyes but other than that it felt like every muscles in my body were restricted by some force. Then, I Unwillingly let of my handguns and suddenly one of my hand was bent in an unimaginable degree. I tried to hold my pained voice as much as possible. My hand was currently being continuously bend in circular direction at the same time, moving from behind my shoulders to back of my head. I could feel my bones cracking under such immense pressure. If it continues I thought my hand was going to get ripped out of my body. Then, suddenly not only my remaining other hand but both of my feet were also being bent into same irregular postures. My hand was being bent, just like the other one, and into back of my head while continuously rotating circularly. My legs however were being bent into exact opposite direction. They were directly bending in front of me. The pressure full broke my bones in the knees. I could even see the tips of shoe in my eyes. I could hear my bones being crushed and because my muscles were also rotating continuously I could feel them come out from, different parts of hands and legs. I could hear myself gritting my teeth so hard that I was sure I had broken a few of them. I could feel so much pain and agony coming from my limbs that my face was covered with tears.

" I'm surprised you can hold onto your consciousness after being put through that much pain."

I could see a large figure coming in my direction in the corner of my eyes. I could feel large amount of pressure from behind me. After few seconds he came in front of me. Right now I was hovering in mid-air. I still had some tears in my eyes but because of my mask he couldn’t see that. That large figure had long black hair tied in a ponytail. He had green eyes that were shining in the dark surroundings. He had a face that can only be described as fierce or scary. He was wearing a blue kimono that was covering his both hands and legs. He looked like a human in a single glance but the two horns like features in his head, scale like skin around his neck and a blue tail covered in scales that could be seen slightly moving says otherwise. After observing me for few seconds, he had a smile on his face as if he just found a interesting toy to play with.

" So, You're the intruder, huh! When I got the news some of my soldiers were killed I was thinking of someone very powerful that could give me a challenge, but I don’t have to use even ten percent of my power to beat you. I'm so disappointed."

He says that but you could clearly see his smile that was brimming with excitement. I still had my mask on so he couldn't see my face but even so I could tell he was directly looking at me. It was a piercing gaze I couldn't hide from.

" You must be wondering who I am, Right? I am the general of this ship and that’s all you need to know. You must be one of the resident of this planet as you came from the ground. Then, The mask's universal translator is the only reason you can understand me. I want to see your face directly but taking your mask means you can't understand me. It's no fun if you can't understand me after you came all the way here."

He was mumbling something about me and my mask. I could still see his face that seems to want to play with his new toy as soon as possible. My senses were becoming numb and the pain was taking over my mind. I could feel my consciousness fading away.

" Oops! Can't have you losing your consciousness on me, now Can I ? How 'bout I wake you up Properly again, Huh!"

After he finished saying that I could feel another course of pain in my body. My hands and legs were being returned to their normal positions but even so my broken bones were like needles inside my body causing extreme pain. I could feel I would go crazy if it continues. Even so I endured it again by gritting my teethes as hard as I could. After that my body was hovering in mid air in 'T' shape.

" Hmmm. That’s right. I have that language program with me. How about I test it in you, huh! Now then I will give the power of language so that you can understand me without the mask too."

My fading consciousness was wide awake after going through that immense pain once more. I could see his excited face clearly as he had just thought of something exciting. And saying that he takes out a very thin chip and puts it in his left hand’s index finger. After that he pulls my mask off from my face. My hair, which was slightly longer than in the past, was covering my face. He pulls my hair up, lifting my head that was slightly lowered. I had faint trace of pained look in my face. Finding my face amusing he widens his grin and he puts his index finger in my forehead. I could feel a surge of energy coming from his finger into my brain like electricity was passing through it. I was feeling as if my brain was suddenly attacked thousand needles at the same time. I roared at the top of my lungs. But the pain didn't go at all and was only increasing. I could see that man was observing me intently. He reminded me of a mad scientist watching his experiment. After few minutes of intense pain finally subsided. I felt like my brain had just gone under a surgery without using any anesthetics.

" Ha-ha! You are truly unique! I thought you'd die just like the others being unable to endure the pain but it seems you have a little more willpower and tolerance than the others."

Did he just say I could have died right now? I was shocked at the same time angry at him. He was laughing like he was enjoying a great show. But after thinking for a moment I became more confused. Didn't he just pulled my mask off so, How can I understand him without it? I looked at him confusingly only to find him staring at me intently. Even so due to all the pain and blood loss I could feel my consciousness fading again.

" So it seems it was a success, as you can understand me. Now that I have just found myself a perfect little guinea pig to experiment all my experiments on, I wonder How fun it's going to be. Ha-ha-ha! "

This was the last thing I remember as I fell unconscious under his loud laugh.
