Chapter name: Zetsu's disappearance is Shin's reappearance!

Zetsu teleported to his apartment in the living room and closed the portal behind him. He pulled out his phone and looked at the time. It was 5:45 PM.

"Oh wow it's that late already!" Zetsu commented.

Anyways I need to contact Kuji!

Zetsu went to the line app and messaged him.

Zetsu: Hey bro can you come to my place around 8:00 AM? 5:46 PM

Kuji: Oh sure man what is it? 5:47 PM

Zetsu: I need to talk with you about something very important. 5:47 PM

Kuji: If you want you can do it now? 5:48 PM

Zetsu: No, I need to do it in person. 5:48 PM

Kuji: Oh I see.. sure I'll be there at 8 AM tomorrow! 5:49 PM

Kuji: So what are you up to now? 5:50 PM

Zetsu: I am about to take a shower and see whatever is there to eat. 5:50 PM

Kuji: Ah okay I am gonna finish my homework today so that I can laze around for the rest of the weekend! 5:51 PM

Zetsu: Good luck man. 5:52 PM

Kuji: thanks bro, see you tomorrow. 5:52 PM

Zetsu: Bye! 5:53 PM

Zetsu headed over to his sleeping room and put his phone on his night desk.

He took out some homewear, Grey T-shirt along with long polyester pants, a clean boxer, went over to the bathroom and took a shower.

After he finished, he returned to the living room with his phone and put it on the dinner table, where after he went into the kitchen, where his dad left a note on the fridge saying:

"There is some pasta I made. Be sure to eat it up, Dad."

Zetsu opened the fridge and the pasta was already on a plate. He took the plate and put it inside the microwave for 3 minutes, after it finished Zetsu took the pasta and sat at the dinner table eating it while watching Youtube on his phone.

After he finished his meal, he walked over to the kitchen again and washed his plate, where he then moved to his room. He wasted a couple more hours on his phone before he finally put the light out at 11:30 PM and went to sleep.

Zetsu seems to be dreaming again as he is in the same white space as last time.

"Wait this place again?" Zetsu questioned.

A familiar figure appeared and spoke.

"Hey Zetsu." He said.

"Wait up… Detsu! What do you want?" Zetsu asked.

"I know you're planning to leave tomorrow already." He answered.

"Yes, what about it?" Zetsu questioned.

"Are you really fine with just leaving like this? You could have asked Kettei for more time, he would have no problems with it." Detsu said.

"I don't want to waste any more time." Zetsu replied.

"What?! You call your best friend and dad a waste of time, how dare you! They are far more important than whatever is going on in the other world! It isn't even your problem!" Detsu argued.

"No of course they are not, but I have been wasting time doing absolutely nothing! I need to know what happened to mom and I need to get stronger real fast, as I am actually useful in that world. Kettei himself said that I can change fate by being a dimension hopper!" Zetsu continued.

"And what would you recommend then? Bring them along with me? You know how dangerous Shapan is, we share memories for damn sake! At first I didn't take it seriously, but after witnessing and participating in different battles, I know what I am getting into and I am willing to give it my all even if it causes me to get hurt! But I am not willing to let the 2 of them share the same fate."

"Because they have the right to live a peaceful life!" Zetsu added.

"But have you ever thought how Kuji and Dad would feel after leaving them just like that?!" Detsu questioned.

"Of course it will hurt not only for them, but also for me." Zetsu answered.

"Then why don't you just stay, Argghhh I am not getting through your thick skull!" Detsu said while grabbing his hair.

"I'm sorry Detsu, but this is what I have to do!" Zetsu shouted.

"Do whatever you want. I am done here!"

Saturday 6:45 AM Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan

Zetsu woke up gasping for air.

"Darn it, I really hate those dreams." Zetsu said while getting out of bed.

He went to take a quick shower and put on some casual clothing consisting of a black polo shirt, black jeans and white shoes.

After he took his phone out of the charger, he went into the living room and checked his phone.

7:05 PM

LINE

1 Message from Dad.

Zetsu pressed the notification and read the message.

Dad: Sorry Zetsu I was very busy so I had to stay in the other apartment. I will be coming home around 2 PM after finishing the rest of my work. 12:03 AM

Zetsu: Don't worry Dad! I understand. 7:08 AM

Zetsu closed his phone and put it on the dinner table.

Since I won't be seeing him today I have to write a goodbye letter.

Zetsu walked back to his room and took a blank paper along with a blue pen and sat at the dinner table, after thinking for a while he started writing.

Dear Dad:

There is something very important that I have to do and that will take a long time until I return, so please don't go looking for me.

The last thing I want to say is that I love you Dad and that I appreciate everything you have done for me even after mom died.

I guess this is enough, now I have to wait for Kuji.

Zetsu waited until 8 AM as he got a message from Kuji on Line.

Kuji: Yo Zetsu I am in front of your house. 8:02 AM

Zetsu: Okay I'm heading down! 8:03 AM

Zetsu put his phone in his pocket and went out of the apartment complex, meeting with Kuji.

"Yo, Zetsu!" Kuji greeted him.

"Hey bro."

"So what did you want to talk about?" Kuji asked.

"Let's head to a place to sit first?" Zetsu proposed.

"Okay? How about the playground? It's like 10 minutes away from here." Kuji suggested.

"Yeah, it sounds good." Zetsu replied.

They started walking, and after 5 minutes they passed a vending machine, where Kuji asked:

"Hey, I want to grab a drink, my treat."

"Sure, thanks buddy!"

The both of them got orange soda in cans and walked the rest of the way till the playground, where they sat next to each on one of the benches.

"So can you finally tell what's going on?" Kettei wondered while taking a sip of his drink.

"Listen Kuji, I am going to leave." Zetsu explained.

"Leave what? School? Don't worry about it man we can transfer together remember, we are best bros." Kuji responded.

"Umm no I meant leaving Japan." Zetsu replied.

"So you're going to move away from here?! To where?!" Kuji questioned.

"Well… it's not me and my Dad it's just me, to a place no one will be able to find me." Zetsu answered.

"What is going on?! I find you act very strange as of late! You can tell me anything, I am your best friend Zetsu!" Kuji said being very worried.

"It's just that I can't tell you, in fact I can't tell anyone." Zetsu reacted.

"Why are you leaving me in dark Zetsu, this isn't what childhood friends do! You know I care a lot about you… Have you ever thought how I would feel about all of this?! Suddenly leaving me with no idea when you will come back!" Kuji argued.

"I know, but it's really important and I don't want you to get entangled in it." Zetsu replied.

"Dude I don't care, we are bros and bros help each other through thick and thin!" Kuji said.

I need to move now or else this will get troublesome. I am very sorry, Kuji, but I really have to do this for the sake of knowing the truth.

"Sorry, but I really need to go, I promise that I will come back no matter what, so please don't worry about it and move forward as you have a great potential in you, something that a waste of space as myself will never have!" Zetsu said while making a run for it.

"ZETSU, WHERE ARE YOU GOING! COME BACK!" Kuji screamed.

It would be no use chasing him, I know he said that he would come back, but somehow I can't feel anything other than betrayed. Kuji thought as he looked at the ground.

He looked at the running Zetsu, slowly disappearing out of his sight, where he then turned his back and walked off with a single tear coming out his eyes.

"Damn it!"

Meanwhile Zetsu ran into an alleyway and contacted Kettei.

Zetsu: Kettei!

After 5 minutes of waiting Kettei replied.

Kettei: Hey Zetsu are you done that quick!

Zetsu: I kinda said my goodbyes so how is it going over there?

Kettei: Well, I got you into the school just now and made it so that you can create an ID there, so that you won't be seen as illegal.

Zetsu: Thanks!

Kettei: But I still need to finish up the rest, so can you head to Kirena Forest and wait there?

Zetsu: Okay.

Kettei: Before I hang up, what is your clothing size small right?

Zetsu: Yeah.

Kettei: I will tell you the rest when I am finished, sayonara!

The Mana Link ended.

Zetsu created a portal and hopped over to Kirena Forest, while a man was standing up on the roof looking down on the alleyway and said:

"It was a good idea to spy on the boy. Now that I know he is leaving this world, time to visit the Shibuya Police Station."

The man created a blue portal and teleported to the Amazon in Brazil, where he then teleported again to an alleyway close to the Police Station. He walked for 3 blocks as he was now standing before a large grey building.

"Ugh why do buildings in Tokyo always have to look depressing." The man commented as he went inside.

Upon entering there was a desk with a young woman sitting behind it. The man walked over there.

"Welcome to the S.P.S, how may I help you?" The secretary asked.

"Umm, can I have a moment with the Assistant Commissioner?" The man asked.

"Do you have an appointment with Mr. Masayoshi?" The Secretary questioned.

"No, but it's really important." The man answered.

"Okay I will call him, but first can I have your name?" The secretary asked.

"I am Shin Hato."

"Thank you." The Secretary replied.

She picked up the office phone next to her and called the Assistant Commissioner.

Hello?

"It's Mira, I called because a man called Shin Hato is here to speak about something important with you. Do you have time or does he need to make an appointment?" The Secretary questioned.

I have time, so it's okay to let him through.

"Okay, thank you." The Secretary ended the call and continued.

"Take the elevator to the highest floor and keep walking straight and you should find him in his Chief Office." She instructed.

"Thank you." Shin bowed.

"No problem." She replied.

Shin walked over to the elevator, which was located on the left side corner a few meters behind the Secretary desk and entered it.

The highest floor was 15, so Shin pressed that, when the elevator reached the designated floor, he stepped out and walked straight all till the end of the hallway where there was a single white door, with next to it a board saying:

Assistant Commissioner.

Ashura Masayoshi

In gold kanji.

Shin knocked on the door.

"It's me, Shin Hato."

"Enter." A deep voice said.

Shin opened the door where he saw a middle aged man with a police outfit, sitting behind his desk looking at his computer screen. He had straight black short hair with pitch black eyes and a thick black beard.

"Take a seat." Ashura said.

Shin walked over to him and sat on one of the 2 chairs in front of the desk.

"So, tell me dimension hopper why are you here?" Ashura wondered.

"Have you received the intel about Zetsu Nozomu?" Shin asked.

"Oh the new DH? Yes, of course. What about him?" Ashura answered.

"Well, he just left this world to live in the other, so I need you to cover up. It might be that the family will come here to announce that the boy is missing." Shin explained.

"Okay I understand." Ashura replied.

"Oh and make sure to mention this to the D.I.R.O." Shin added.

"Alright I think that is everything." Shin said a few seconds after.

"I will be sure to do that, have a nice day." Ashura nodded.

"Thanks, you too." Shin responded.

As he left the room, Ashura made a call to the Secretary base floor.

"Mira?"

Yes, Mr. Masayoshi?

"I will take some of the workload of the inspectors today as I have no important appointments today, report any disappearance cases to me." Ahura instructed.

Okay, I heard you loud and clear! I will call you whenever such a case is reported here.

"Thank you."

The Secretary ended the call.

Zetsu's apartment

2:02 PM

A person opened the main entrance.

"Zetsu I'm home!"

A hard working father.

Taikan Nozomu!

He had white hair and yellow eyes with a small white mustache and dots of white tiny hairs, the face of one who had recently shaved. Wearing a classy black working suit.

"Zetsu?" He called again.

"Hmmm he must be with Kuji then."

Taikan walked inside the living room and put his duffel bag that he had along with him on the couch, where he then went over to the kitchen when he noticed a letter on the dinner table.

"A letter?" He questioned.

As he read the letter his facial expression quickly went from happy to absolute despair in the matter of seconds.

First Ayase and now my own son?!

Taikan put his hands in his hair.

NO I CAN'T LOSE HIM TOO! I NEED TO FIND HIM AND QUICK!

As Taikan was about to leave he remembered something.

Wait I can't go search around like crazy, first I need to see if I can get any info! Hmmm maybe Kuji has knowledge of Zetsu's disappearance!

Shakenly, Taikan pulled out his phone and called Kuji.

Hello?

"Kuji, it's me, Mister Nozomu! Did you know about Zetsu leaving?" Taikan asked.

Yes I did, he told me today, but it's no use trying to find him as he is heading to a place where no one can find him.

"Why didn't you stop him!" Taikan shouted over the phone.

I tried to reason with him, but he really wanted to, no more like he had to! I can't force him to stay, so I let him go and he said that he would be back, so I have no other option but to believe him!

"Then I will just head to the Police Station, I am sure they will be able to find him!"

Good luck Mister Nozomu.

"Thanks."

Kuji ended the call.

"Darn it!" Taikan cursed as he took the letter and left the apartment complex.

He ran over to his car and drove as fast as possible to the Shibuya Police Station, where he arrived after 10 minutes.

He parked his car and ran inside the gray building, instantly making his way to the front desk.

"Hello Sir, how may I help you?" The Secretary asked.

"I can here to report that my son is missing, here you can see his goodbye letter." Taikan as he put the paper on the desk counter.

"Name of the missing person?" The Secretary questioned.

"Zetsu Nozomu and I am Taikan Nozomu." Taikan replied.

The Secretary gave him a form to fill in regarding missing people.

"Fill it in please as I contact the Assistant Commissioner." The Secretary instructed.

"Okay." Taikan replied as started to fill in the form.

Wait! The Assistant Commissioner will take care of my case, with that there still is some hope!

The Secretary made a call to Ashura.

"It's me Mira, I have a case of a missing person here." She told him.

What is the name of the lost person?

"Zetsu Nozomu."

Okay send all the documents to me after the end of the day and I will start an investigation, if I find something, we will give the person in question a call.

"Okay Sir." She said, ending the call.

"I finished the form." Taikan said.

"That's great, I just finished talking to the Assistant Commissioner and he said that he will pick up the documents at the end of the workday and will start investigating. If he finds anything, we will give you a call." The Secretary explained.

"Okay, thank you very much!" Taikan bowed and left the building as he walked towards the parking lot.

I hope the police will be able to find him and if not, I will go looking for you myself. Please Zetsu come back safely!

Taikan made it to the parking lot and entered his car, as he started driving a final thought came up.

But right now I have to focus on my job, because if I lost that too, then life would truly be useless.

Shapan, Kirena Forest (5:15 PM)

After Zetsu, who was sitting on the usual rock, waited for hours, Kettei finally showed up.

Kettei closed the portal behind him and walked over to him.

"Zetsu I thought you would take 2 days?" Kettei wondered.

"Yeah, but I kinda made things go faster, so I had to leave earlier." Zetsu replied.

"I see, anyway I finished the school admission." Kettei said.

"Great!" Zetsu commented.

"So let me go over a few things you need to know. In Shapan, Middle Schools have dorms for people whose parents are away a lot or just want them to give more experience dealing with the people of their own age. There are 2 types of Dorms, shared and private. I hired a private room for you as it will probably be very hard to constantly communicate with someone who didn't come from your world. I bought a week worth of clothing already and your school uniforms and the needed books. The classes begin on Monday and at the end of the school day, you have to head to the administrative department to get your ID." Kettei explained.

"Oh okay, but the room and you have to pay for all that?" Zetsu asked.

"Yes, but I don't care, unless you fail school. If that happens, you will become my errand boy until you have paid back the entirety of the debt." Kettei sneered.

"Haha… I see…." Zetsu said with a shocked expression.

"Anyways you will stay at my house for 2 days, then on Monday I will drop you off." Kettei said.

"Seems alright." Zetsu commented.

"Oh and one thing, during your school time you're on your own. You can only contact me if you are in a life-threatening situation, okay?" Kettei warned.

"Understood." Zetsu responded.

"Good, now hold onto me as we are going to hop again." Kettei instructed.

Zetsu held on to him and Kettei created a portal and hop from Central Park, New York to an alleyway in Shapan.

"Where are we now?" Zetsu asked.

"In Nyoto." Kettei replied.

They moved out the alleyway and greeted by a lively city with a mass of people walking on the sidewalks and lots of cars that hovered slightly above the ground, with tall skyscrapers and smaller buildings all around them.

"Wow it's just like Tokyo!" Zetsu shouted.

"Not so loud Zetsu, remember!!!" Kettei said with scary eyes.

"Stop gawking and follow me." Kettei ordered.

"Oops, sorry." Zetsu apologised.

After walking for a few blocks they reached a public parking lot, where Kettei walked over to his car.

"Nice car you got there." Zetsu complimented.

It was a light blue sports car, it had no wheels as it can hover above the ground.

"By the way, they are not called cars here. It's a MIV." Kettei replied.

"A MIV?" Zetsu wondered.

"Mana Infused Vehicle, since we don't use the oil in the ground, we use our own mana to drive Cars and Motorcycles, because It's good for the planet. Climate change doesn't exist here haha."

"Oh." Zetsu reacted.

"Now get in the MIV." Kettei suggested.

"Uh yes."

Zetsu got into the MIV and 45 minute drive, they arrived at a small neighborhood with middle class like houses. Kettei house was light red and has 1 floor, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a Kitchen and a small Study room with a small basement.

Kettei parked the MIV in front of his house.

"You have a sports MIV, but you live in a normal house. Ha funny." Zetsu commented.

"I live alone so this place is more than enough as it fits 2 people." Kettei explained.

"Ah okay." Zetsu replied.

Zetsu followed Kettei to the main entrance of the house, where Kettei used a regular key to unlock it, but suddenly a red layer appeared around the house. Kettei touched it, making it disappear.

"What was that?" Zetsu asked.

"You can see it as home security made from your own magic, the stronger the magic user, the stronger the barrier is. Every house in Nyoto has one of these, so house robberies are kinda rare haha." Kettei explained and opened the door.

"Here we are, make yourself at home." Kettei

"Sorry for Intruding." Zetsu said as he entered the house.

"I guess we have to pass time till Monday huh?" Kettei said.

Zetsu spent these 2 days at Kettei place. They had breakfast, lunch and dinner. When bored Kettei showed him around the city and told him many of his existing missions, where at night he gave some basic advice about magic.

Shapan, Nyoto, Nushimi

Monday (6:45 AM)

Both Kettei and Zetsu were about to leave the house.

"The Uniform looks pretty cool on you." Kettei complimented.

"Haha thanks." Zetsu replied as scratched behind his back.

The Uniform left half was white with golden circles stitched to it and the right side was black with a logo, which was a white hand with a big mana ball hovering above it. The school Zetsu was going to was called Erito Middle School, which was one of the top 4 middle schools in Nyoto.

"Zetsu, are you ready? Do you have everything?" Kettei checked.

"Yes." Zetsu answered.

And with that they left the house and entered the MIV outside, after a 30 minute ride they arrived at the middle school.

"Woah!" Zetsu reacted as he was looking out the window.

The school was massive with the terrain at least as big as a soccer stadium. It has 3 huge buildings, the gold colored one being the school itself with its 3 training fields and the other 2 white buildings being the private and shared dorms, each one of them having a cafeteria within.

Kettei drove a bit further until he reached the main gate, which was a large gate made out of pure silver, it had 2 guards waiting outside.

"Well, we are here, you have your enrollment papers he gave you today right? Kettei asked.

"Yeah they are in my bag." Zetsu replied.

"Oh I almost forgot take this!" Kettei gave him an item.

"A watch?" Zetsu wondered.

"Its a Link Watch, it can remember all the links you have with people so tht you just have to press their names in contacts and it can also read your mana reserve, so its pretty usefull. Be sure not to lose it because its kinda expensive!" Kettei explained.

"Thanks for the gift." Zetsu replied

"Glad you like it, now go on and enter, be sure to make me proud my apprentice and failing is not allowed remember!" Kettei said in a loud tone.

"Yes Sir!" Zetsu said as if he was a soldier.

Kettei nodded and gave a smile.

Zetsu stepped out of the MIV looking as it slowly disappeared from his sight.

Okay it's time to go!

Zetsu thought as he walked closer towards the gate.

2 weeks timeskip

Shapan, Nyoto, Erito Middle School, Private Dorms

Zetsu just came out of the shower as he was getting ready to sleep. He jumped on his bed and after 5 minutes closed his eyes.

This time he would remember something that reminded him that he is far from truly becoming confident and brave.
