《Change My Heart, Change My World, Change Me》Chapter 2 : Thank you

"Er..." I thought. "what do you mean has been lived?"
"let me tell you the rest of the story to make you easier to understand it"
I nodded my head
"This life, or should I said timeline? is going to be reset in a few years. As I said this life has been lived before. The people that had had a life this life made some gracious mistakes that made an innocent being suffer so much. The pure being that never gets the love it deserves. It punished for the crime it did not make, it blamed for something it did not know, they took everything that ever matters to it until it died, alone, lonely just because someone thinks that it was a criminal, a being with a dark heart that deserves to be punished. It was a being that I was not able to save."
He said hoarsely. I can feel his sorrow in every sound he makes. It made me wonder what kind of being he is talking about and why was it suffered so much. As if listening to my thoughts (he probably is, my mind supports) he continues.
"It because a human's born to our world with a memory of past life. This human thought that this realm is a game just because its people are similar to the game she was playing in her world. She thinks of herself as a Heroine who deserves to be loved by anyone."
What the hell I thought...
"I know, right" the god sigh.
"well, I don't mind her to thinks this world as a game or anything. The people live in this world are free to think, to live as they like. My only regret is that when she noticed the difference between this world and her game world, she did not accept it. She forced the timeline to follow her desires. Even though she already has someone that loves her dearly, peers that look up to her, a family that can support her and happiness that await for her in the future, she was not satisfied because in her game world everyone loves her and she got everything. Without her knowledge, her foolishness made ripples in the world and by years and years slowly will destroy this world." he finished.

I find it hard to believe an act of one person is enough to destroy the world but again, my action alone is enough to destroy one big strong pirate and create a war. So... Yeah. No comment.
So, I ask instead, if this world was destroyed, why you make me born in this world? I knew it! You hate me, don't you? You want me to suffer!
I don't know why or how but I feel I can see the God rolled his eyes at me while he said "As I told you. She also created a ripple which allowed me to take you out from your old world and bring you here. What I'm going to tell you before you interrupted me was that one of my children there also used the ripples to reach me, it was a very dangerous thing to do, I tell you now. So don't even try, you might die again."
This time I rolled my eyes and told him to get to the point.
"In his last moment, he asked a second chance. A chance to start back. To reset the time"
I gasp. No way! Time travel is not real I thought which he replied "so is being reborn " which make sense. Damn!
So are you telling me you make me born here to help him?
"No, I'm telling you this to make you understand the reason why you're able to be born again here not to ask you to do anything for me. I did as far as what I did to bring you back alive, even if it is not in your own world, so you will be able to continue your adventures, Ace. So live your life to the fullest and be free as free as you can be. I know I tell you that you are a memento, but with this timeline resetting, that person also will have a second chance. This time hopefully will be better."

"I admit your life is going to be interlined with them, the one that made a wish, the one with Past life memories like you, and the one that is a memento. But the way how you will interact with them is up to you. I will be watching but I regret that once again I will not be able to help more. It's up to you whether you want to help or not."
I see I thought.
"Well then, Ace. This is farewell. We won't be able to meet again after this. I give you my blessings. Live, Ace. To the fullest. For yourself, for the people that love you. Still, love you until now even after you long gone in your world. For your family. I wish you good luck. Best of luck."
I suddenly feel warm in my heart. The face of Luffy, Sabo, Oyaji, Marco, hell even Gramp and Dadan along with all of my family's face that I left behind flashed in my eyes. I understand. They love me even though I don't deserve them. They fought for me, lose lives for me even though I wasn't worth it. I know there are other people that deserve more to have this second chance (like Sabo, for example) but I got them instead. Like hell, I'm going to just let it pass. I will live as I like. I don't care about other, they can try to reset their lives as they like or think this is a game, as long as they don't ask me to do what they do I won't bother them. I'm a pirate after all not a hero and the God told me to live as I like so that is what I'm going to do.
I beam to God. No need to tell him my plan, I knew he already knows anyway. As The God starting to fade away, sincerely I tell him.
Thank you for giving me this second chance.

The Last Science [SE]
[SE has the same content as the original story, split into smaller chunks for easier reading. This story is on a temporary hiatus due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. I work in healthcare and unfortunately no longer have the freetime to continue posting on a regular basis. As soon as our workload decreases, I will return. Thanks for reading! 💙] No one ever knows the whole story. Deep in the forests of the Pacific Northwest, the fading town of Rallsburg stumbles upon an amazing discovery—magic itself. Faced with potentially world-shattering power, the people of Rallsburg keep the secret for themselves. Led by Rachel DuValle, a perpetually underestimated college student with grand ambitions, they seek to found a new society. The world beyond suspects nothing, but magic cannot stay hidden forever. A train arrives in Rallsburg carrying Alden Bensen, a directionless high school graduate. To him, magic could represent meaning for his life, an explanation for his empty existence. This potent force offers anyone the power to change humanity forever—or send it cascading into swift and total annihilation. The Last Science is an ongoing science-fiction / low-fantasy web novel series, focused on the modern world with a twist. New societies bud and grow, but the people who make them up are imperfect and flawed. The story includes elements of mystery, action, crime, interpersonal drama, relationships, philosophy, sociology, politics, and much more, all centered on the perspective characters driving the tale. This is the "Scraps Edition" of the story, where the chapters have been split up into bite-size chunks (roughly 1500-3000 words), for your convenience. The prose has been edited from its original form, with some improvements, but there are no content differences from the original. New chapters will be posted throughout each week starting on Friday and appearing on multiple days thereafter, depending on the length of the chapter. Content Warning (by request): This series delves into some topics and situations which may be upsetting for some readers. In American rating parlance, the narrative would be rated PG-13 (except for language), but some have noted the story can get pretty dark on occasion. Please use your best judgment, and don't be afraid to take breaks and come back later. I'll still be here! [Discord] - come hang out and chat! The Genre of My Life Was Randomized?
The wheel spun and the genre changed. In every chapter, a new canvas made up of a thousand words was formed. I, the creator, do not know the future of this novel. I, the author, is but a mere slave that writes and creates what the wheel has given. What would happen after? What fate awaits the main character? When would you encounter the next chapter? Besides the latter, only the wheel could answer. Author's Note:Salutations dear reader. I'd like to dissuade you from reading this novel due to the following facts: 1. I am an amateur/new/beginner writer so it could be said that I don't know what I'm doing. 2. This novel is something which I wrote in order to hone my skills in adaptability, creativity, and writing in of itself. 3. Every chapter was made after spinning a wheel with the genres: Action, Horror, Romance, Comedy, Fantasy (as of writing) twice. The genres then would be showed in the chapter through theme, part of the story, flow, character, or whatever man idk. In case the wheel would show the same genre twice, the chapter itself would have the result as the main theme of the story with the other genres being free to use in order to fully show the theme. 4. I'm basically yoloing the story, trying to make sense of it even with the randomness of the current and future chapters; I swear I'm not a masochi.. *ahem* moving on, a variable left by the previous chapter won't suddenly just disappear because the next chapter doesn't have the same genre as before, meaning if a character that fits a genre was shown on let's say "Chapter 1", said character wouldn't just disappear or cease to exist for no reason at "Chapter 2" or the following chapters just because the character doesn't fit the genres. To make it short this isn't a collection of short stories but one big story instead. 5. Etc.

To Blunt The Sharpest Claw
The Velvet Paw of Asquith Novels are a series of New Fable genre novels that involve cats and dogs and high adventure and romance and espionage and food-fights and hotels and explosions and car chases. With large casts, exotic locations and an absurdity only possible in the absence of human characters, the Velvet Paw of Asquith Novels blend Wind in the Willows with James Bond, though with more cafes and fewer badgers. This submission is the third title in its Morigan Trilogy, beginning two-thirds of the way through the series' longest adventure yet. Here's a quick recount of what's happened so far: When Oscar Teabag-Dooven, a Velvet Paw of Asquith, is ordered to investigate how a mysterious poet, the Ar'dath-Irr, is able to travel instantaneously around the world, two very bad things happen. Firstly, he meets Lydia, an insane librarian who punches everyone in the face, and secondly, the Ar'dath-Irr reveals he is intent on taking over the world. Although this second thing might be considered worse than the first, Oscar feels differently following Lydia’s destruction of a cafe, a library and his face in one afternoon. In comparison, thwarting world domination just seems easier. Along with Binklemitre, a fellow Velvet Paw of Asquith, and Lydia, Oscar infiltrates the Ar’dath-Irr’s realm of dark poetry to discover the dog not only intends wrenching the world apart but has no intention of cleaning up afterwards. As a result, Oscar decides it’s all too hard and goes home to have a bath. After lots of arguing and the sort of food fight that posh restaurants were invented for, Lydia and Binklemitre convince him that they must stop the Ar’dath-Irr for several reasons, one of them quite serious. A vibrant cast of characters collide as Oscar, Lydia and Binklemitre battle the Ar’dath-Irr and his disciples in an adventure involving exploding cafés and appalling hotels, car chases and inadvertent surgery, dreadful poetry, lots of arguments and at least one temper-tantrum, all of which draw the three into dark and convoluted corners of a world they weren’t aware existed. Moreover, any chance of sitting down and discussing things over some buns disappears when Lydia punches the Ar’dath-Irr in the face. This results in her having a psychotic episode and Oscar getting run over by an ambulance. Although Binklemitre suffers neither, he witnesses both, which is almost as dreadful, though not nearly so messy. An enormous battle ensues, followed by a dinner party and then everything explodes.
