《Life of the dark god》Chapter 27 My days in prison

On my own account, I let myself get locked up in the deepest cell of the royal dungeon. I told Arthur that I would train there and I don’t want to be disturbed by anyone. Even if I didn’t tell him, I think he would have given such an order.
Sepp would deliver me three meals a day. The only downside was the hygienic in the cell. It was dirty, I only had some straw for a bed and the toilet was… It’s best not to talk about that. I stood in front of the cell and needed some time to calm down before my mind was able to let my body go in there.
When comparing the ups and downs, it was still a good place to stay for the time being. I kept telling myself that it would only be for about three years at worst. Moreover, I could always do something about the hygienic issue with magic.
It was already late and due to all the things going on at the same time, I was tired. As soon as Sepp left me alone, I instantly fell asleep. I didn’t sleep all that well though.
Day 1
I was extremely enthusiastic as soon as I woke up. It felt like I had a lot to do and no time at all. I started the day with thinking of a basic routine, which I would go with every day. I’d start with physical training. Sit-ups, Push-ups, etc. I did everything I could think of to train my body.
I had no idea of what time it was, because I was pretty deep under Arthur’s castle and sunlight had no chance of getting in contact with me. It became depressing when Sepp came and brought me my [breakfast] around the time I finished my physical training.
“Whatever.”(Me)
I would eventually adjust to those living conditions. After physical labour, I meditated. On one side, I could rest while doing so; on the other one, I could gather some mana to prepare for magic practice.
Well it was more like testing out things that came to my mind. On the first day, I took the safe route and just experimented some small things with mind magic on myself; repeat as many different things with magic as I could remember and so on.

I took my time with everything and whenever I felt tired, I would just go and sleep for some time. I used Sepp’s food deliveries as my clock. When he brings breakfast, it was morning, lunch was noon and when he brought dinner, it was evening.
The first day went by in a flash.
Day 2
I repeated the routine of the first day. Just with some other things, I tried with magic.
Day 3
Same as Day 2.
Day 4
I changed from repetition to experimenting with new things I came up with.
…
Day 23
After finishing my routine, I improved my living standards in the dungeon with magic. Because I started smelling horrible, I washed myself with water magic. I build a stone bed, a toilet, etc. for myself.
The most challenging part was to better my scent. Even I almost couldn’t stand my own stench and with water I was only able to wash away my sweat, but I couldn’t better my scent. In the end after mixing lots of stuff together, I did it somehow.
Surprisingly I got a deeper understanding of magic, because after that I started to use magic almost frequently.
Sepp was surprised when he saw all of my new furniture. He said he wouldn’t report it though, because it wasn’t a big issue.
…
Day 41
I started growing my old plants and produced my own food. Afterwards I told Sepp, he wouldn’t need to deliver food here any longer. I wanted to relieve him from that duty, but on the contrary, he looked more concerned. In the end, he still accepted my decision.
As for the time, I more or less got a hang on when Sepp would have come to see me based on my training routine. It was definitely not exact, but enough to measure the passage of a day.
…
Day 55
I succeeded with everything normal I could come up with in terms of magic and got bored. I started playing a bit with time, space and creation magic.
…
Day 94

After creating a small pocket dimension, which was exactly one hundred square metres large, I could finally run some laps and improve my stamina next to my strength.
The pocked dimension was like a large room with nothing in it. It had no windows, nor did it have a door. Except for me, no one would be able to enter it. I began to create new furniture and expand my personal room.
…
Day 141
I finally got bored enough to tell myself to improve my resistances of magic. I started by torturing myself with mind magic. I stayed sane in some way, but completely lost track of common sense.
Due to my days alone in the cell, my thought process changed heavily. I didn’t care about anti sound measures anymore, so my cries of agony were heard throughout the whole dungeon.
…
Day 177
Except for some minor improvements and discoveries, I didn’t achieve anything except for being able to hurt myself even further.
…
Day 190
I managed to get immune to pain and all kinds of negative effects for my body and mind. For example, poison was no more than some random juice for me. Mind magic could only be used on people with weaker minds anyways, so if anyone could use it and tried it on me that person would only hurt himself.
…
Day 210
I went through all the incidents I could remember before going to the dungeon and through a few coincidences came across void magic. A magic of nothingness and eternal darkness. I was really excited when I came in contact with it at first.
Letting something disappear into nothingness was fun and all, but unfortunately, I noticed that it didn’t have many convenient uses.
At least I found my motivation again, knowing that there was still magic, I didn’t know about and couldn’t use.
…
Day 300
I managed to control the time in my already many square kilometres huge pocket dimension. I accelerated it as much as possible to be able to train in a place where time flows faster than in reality.
The effect was a 1.5 time acceleration. One day in the outside world was one and a half in my pocket dimension.
Due to my excessive usage of time magic, I lost track of the outside, or actual time and forgot to count how many days I lived in the dungeon.
“Someone will come and get me eventually.”(Me)
Was the only thing I could comfort myself with.
…
Time passed without me thinking about the outside world. I almost forgot about my responsibilities as well as the end boss. That much time has passed. I don’t know how much though.
“Is he really here?”(Lucy)
I heard the first voice in… I don’t know. In a very long time?
“Yes. I know that it’s stupid. It’s like digging one’s own grave as deep as possible and jumping in right afterwards.”(Sepp)
“Your fantasy is… going through with you.” (Lucy)
They were coming down the stairs, while leisurely chatting.
“Just telling you I was only with him for the first 40 or so days. Afterwards he told me he wanted to be alone. He could have completely changed.”(Sepp)
“It can’t be that bad.”(Lucy)
“Apparently some prisoners said they couldn’t sleep, because they heard screams from downstairs.”(Sepp)
“That’s… pretty bad.” (Lucy)
I left my pocked dimension and awaited them in my cell.
“Are we there soon?”(Lucy)
“It’s the cell after the next corner.”(Sepp)
“I can’t believe that they build a single cell here.”(Lucy)
They soon reached my cell and we looked face to face at each other. I had no idea what to say, but I somehow managed to bring out some words.
“Yo. Did you finally decide to get me out of here?”(Me)

The Saga of Armageddon: The Call of Crows
Bjorn Stormtamer's world has been turned upside down in more ways than one. His shipmates have left him for dead on an island for quarantining victims of a disease that he now has. His partner in battle despises him, his family thinks he's dead and everyone else thinks it was good riddance. Moreover, the world is under attack by a virulent plague that kills with light and an empire from the east whose intentions are unknown but whose methods are merciless and bloodthirsty. Little does he know that the world itself is nearly on the brink of cosmic collapse. But when a bold, charismatic woman from another nation seeks him out, Bjorn discovers that the plague he has was not a plague at all, but a trial. A trial to determine who is worthy to wield the power of gods in order to give humanity a fighting chance against the winds of fate. This novel was written 2 years ago and isn't exactly my best work. I'm still improving my skills, but I encourage you to enjoy it for what it's worth. ALSO, the whole plague thing was written about before the COVID pandemic. The plague is fake and actually magic in the story, but that has NOTHING to do with real world events. I am under NO CIRCUMSTANCE trying to make ANY kind of statement with it. Please just enjoy the story and stay safe.
