《Life of the dark god》Chapter 11 One-sided battle

A well build beastman, which I have never seen before and Sandra entered the stage. I knew that the hooded person who appeared as Sakura from Sonya academy was actually Sandra, but I was still confused. Something was wrong with her.
Normally she’s either silent and analysing from a safe distance, or she’s calm and collected when taking the initiative. This time though, it was completely different. It looked like Sandra was a ticking bomb, which would explode soon.
It was impossible to see her expression, but the vibe she gave off, wasn’t something that could be described as happy or excited. It was violent and angry. Of course it wasn’t visible to normal eyes, it would require someone who already experienced a lot.
I wanted to lean back and enjoy the show I created, but because of unforeseen events, it somehow evolved into something, where I have to hope that Sandra’s not going to do something really really stupid.
It’s my own fault for not thinking it through to the end. At least it looks like this will be a good show to watch.
“Start!”(Announcer)
Not only did the audience have no idea what was going on, the beastman, Sandra was facing was confused as well. As soon as the match started, he went into a fighting stance, but he kept standing where he was and waited for Sandra to make the first move. He didn’t look scared, it looked more like he tried to fight save.
I thought Sandra would rush at her opponent as soon as the match started, but it turned out I was wrong. She wasn’t moving at all. Sandra didn’t prepare any attack, nor did she create defensive barriers. All she did was reinforce her physical strength a bit.
She raised her hand and waved at her enemy. She wanted to tell him something like come at me, you won’t win even if you try to fight save. Although it was a standard provocation, it fulfilled its purpose; Sandra managed to piss him off.

With a loud roar the beastman rushed forward. They were about 20 metres apart from each other, but it took him only three steps to close in on that distance. For someone who wasn’t able to reinforce his body with magic, it was an enormous feat.
The normal audience was in awe of that guy’s leg strength, but the more experienced fighters were rather curious about the response. I trained her, so I knew best about Sandra’s strengths and weaknesses. This kind of attack was an easy task. In the end, she dodged, but if she wanted, she could also block it or make a counter attack.
While everyone focused on that single moment, I already tried to think of how the rest of the match would proceed. I didn’t know the reason of Sandra’s anger, so everything was possible to happen. I limited it to the most obvious outcome, which was a one-sided slaughter. In worst case the beastman would die, if he were lucky, he would leave the stage unconscious, with merely some light injuries.
The beastman obviously wasn’t satisfied with his missed attack. He turned back and swung his next fist, which he didn’t land again. With a slight body move to the right, Sandra swiftly dodged again. The audience was surprised when they saw it happen two times in a row.
Shortly afterwards he attacked. Over and over again, he tried to at least catch the hood, but Sandra was too fast. If one looked closely enough, he would see that she almost didn’t move from the place where she started. Only a few times, when it got close, she took a step to the side and the beastman would hit air.
Sandra could easily dodge every single one of the beastman’s attacks for five whole minutes, while only using a minimum amount of mana, to support herself with magic. The outcome was as expected; the beastman was exhausted and didn’t dare to attack again.

Now, the roles were reversed. Sandra was the one to make a move. With her mana control, she could have done many things. She formed a small claw made out of mana and started running at him. She accelerated with every step and the match was decided in the blink of an eye.
The crowd was stunned. Everyone was silent when the head was sent flying. I could only do a face palm and blame myself. It took a few seconds after his lifeless body fell to the floor until everyone realised the situation. Some even started screaming, but I knew Sandra didn’t care.
Couldn’t you be at least a little bit less cruel?
I knew that I would have to take the blame if something went wrong from now on. Sandra was aware of that too, so she fought however she wanted. The crowd went crazy and shouted all sorts of things. The only thing you had to be careful of in that tournament was not to kill anyone, but Sandra just did, so it was a natural reaction.
It didn’t matter what they screamed, because Sandra already went off stage and hid herself in the crowd of students. I just looked at the shocked audience for one or two seconds and she was already gone.
When I turned my head, Arthur was already looking at me with a forced smile and was secretly pointing towards Sam. He definitely found out about the mysterious girl and looked my way. If a glance could kill, I would have already been dead by then.
At least it was fun to watch.
I tried my best to comfort me in some way. I knew I soon had to explain myself. At least Arthur helped me out a bit by forcefully continuing the second round of the tournament. The third round would be fought on the next day.
After it was over, there was no way out for me. As soon as the opportunity arose, Sam confronted Arthur and accused him of sending an assassin to kill one of his people. Arthur instantly rejected the thought and the suspicion went on to myself.
It took a lot of time talking my way out of it. At the beginning I sometimes I received help from Arthur, but it was definitely not out of kindness. After half an hour, Arthur went back to the villa. He said something about being exhausted. The extreme thing was that Hiro did the same and I got left behind alone.
After damn long five hours, I too was finally allowed to go back to my room. It was already midnight and after I entered my room, I fell down on my bed and instantly went into the land of dreams.
