Sepp’s pov:

After big brother left us, we diligently trained ourselves, built a lot of huts on the Dark Continent and improved our ways of living. His speech motivated us to work even harder to help him and repay what he has done for us. Since quite some time, no one dared to come to the Dark Continent, so even I was able to solely focus on training.

As big brother told us his plan, he also said that I am the most talented out of all of us when it comes to magic, so I had to leave the Dark Continent 1st and make a name for myself.

At the beginning, big brother planned that 1 person shall leave after every month. That was the plan, but… An unforeseen event led to Sylphy, a spirit joining our forces. After about a week or so, after big brother left, he sent Sylphy via Teleportation array.

When we noticed the teleportation array being activated, we all stopped whatever we did and rushed to it. We all probably thought that big brother would come back to us. Well, our hopes were crushed and we received a green haired girl with a dumbfounded expression even worse than most of us.

No one knew what was going on and everyone surrounded her and started to ask her tons of questions. Even I would have been overstrained with the situation. For better or worse, she fainted and left us all with an uncertain situation.

Some wanted to throw her out, but I stopped them from doing so, by arguing that she was sent by big brother. They agreed on waiting until she’d wake up and me interrogating her afterwards. I was able to satisfy everyone and they went back to work and training.

To be honest I thought she’d be really fragile and would lie down for at least 1 day. To my surprise, she woke up after 2 hours. I sat down at a table and she sat in front of me. I closed the door beforehand, so nobody could listen.

“Who are you?”(Me)

“M…My name is Sylphy.”(Sylphy)

“How were you able to come through that teleportation array?”(Me)

“A guy named Hikaru sent me with a message.”(Sylphy)

I was relieved that my instinct was right and we didn’t throw her out.

“Which message did big brother send you with?”(Me)

“Hikaru wants the 1st person to leave as soon as possible and start with the plan.”(Sylphy)

I was startled.

“Are you sure that’s what he told you?”(Me)

“He said that he had no time and had to skip a lot of explaining. That is all. Can we stop this interrogation now, please?”(Sylphy)

“Sigh. Fine. If big brother sent you, you are probably part of his plan and an ally to us. Be at ease, I will tell the others. If they hear that you were sent by big brother, you’ll be treated as a friend.”(Me)

I stood up and wanted to leave.

“Please wait for a second.”(Sylphy)

I turned around and stopped.

“What is it?”(Me)

“Are you all aware that he is the nightmare, who is rumoured to have killed tons of people? Aren’t you afraid that he’ll kill you?”(Sylphy)

“Sure thing, we also killed some of them though.”(Me)

“Sigh. I thought so.”(Sylphy)

“I don’t know what big brother told you, but to us, he is our live saver, a role model, we all look up to. All of us were slaves before we came here and we were treated horribly. Some of us even on the verge of death, because of our treatment, but if you were able to take a look at us now, we were healed by big brother and trained. In such a short time, he changed our lives. No, he gave all of us a new live, a new start and everyone is thankful. We will repay our debt with these new lives.”(Me)

She quietly listened to my speech and waited until I was finished.

“I was in a similar situation and I agree, but…” (Sylphy)

“But?”(Me)

“He can be really mean some times, too.”(Sylphy)

“Haha, the only times big brother will be mean is when you annoy him in some way or ask him about the taboo.”(Me)

“The what?”(Sylphy)

“Never mind, just never ask him of his past, ok? It will save us all a lot of trouble.”(Me)

“Hmm.”(Sylphy)

“Well, I only knew you for a short time, but perhaps we’ll meet someday again.”(Me)

Sylphy didn’t quite understand why I would say my farewells after we just met, so I explained to her.

“The 1st person in your message is me. Moreover, big brother said as fast as possible, which means today.”(Me)

She was still confused. I understood her, so I guided her to our docks to prover her that I am seriously about to leave. Actually there was only 1 ship, we built all together. It was for me to reach the nearest coast and start with the plan of collecting fame for the Dark Continent.

At 1st Sylphy still received angry stares, but I explained everything to the others and they instantly changed their behaviour and treated her like 1 of us. The farewell to my brothers and sisters was a lot harder for me than I expected them to be.

I let everyone gather in front of the docks and told them about the message and Sylphy. It took over and hour to finish saying goodbye to everyone. We cried a lot, talked about the past years and so on. A lot of them didn’t want me to leave, but no one dared to go against big brother’s will. Last but not least, I also gave my farewell to Horan, the next in line.

“I’ll be going now.”(Me)

“I wish you good luck my brother.”(Horan)

“Thank you. I will need it.”(Me)

We smiled at each other and both of us knew that this could be the last time we would see each other.

“Look after the others while I’m gone.”(Me)

“They will not be harmed in any way, this I will promise you.”(Horan)

“If it’s you, I can rest assured.”(Me)

When I boarded the ship, I turned around and waved to the people, who were and still are like brothers and sisters to me, and swore to myself that I would never forget them. Everyone helped together and pushed the ship into the water and after drifting off for a few minutes, I was far away. Too far to see anyone still on the island.

The ship had an easy construction. There was a steering wheel and as long as you pour mana into it, the ship would continue to move forward. I have no idea how it actually works, but it is 1 of many masterpieces, Theo our best craftsman came up with.

My course was already set by me beforehand. I was heading towards the human continent to work for their king. It wasn’t because I was a human and because I wanted to help them out of patriotism.

It was because they were the most advanced race when it came down to magic. My thought is, if I want to establish my name in the world, the human continent, would be the best option for me.
