“I’m still waiting for you to introduce yourself properly.”(Philip)

“Why? I mean you already know who I am.”(Me)

“Well that’s right but…”(Philip)

“Fine by me. Nice to meet you. I am Nightmare.”(Me)

We somehow ended up playing a game of who can be more annoying.

“I’d like to know your real name as well.”(Philip)

“I’ll speak.”(Me)

“That’s really nice of you.”(Philip)

“After you tell me how you come to know the name of my old partner, of course.”(Me)

I smiled at him and knew, I won the game. Philip got angry and hit the table with his fist. The earth almost shook, or it was only my imagination. Then he stood up to make me feel uneasy. He was really bad at interrogations and lost his coolness much too fast, is all I could think about his behaviour.

“Don’t go too far kid. We are 9 vs 1. Stop playing your fucking games.”(Philip)

I must have done something otherwise he wouldn’t be so furious. Even the 2 from before, Perone and Belios, were shocked at how he reacted. Not that I cared though.

“You are really bad at this you know. When you want to pressure someone, you should cover it better. Moreover, you don’t think that I am afraid just because you have superior numbers, right? Quality always wins.”(Me)

It would be a shame and waste of time if they would have underestimated me. I waited for a reply from Philip, but it didn’t come. To my surprise someone new stepped forward.

“It’s ok boss calm down. I’ll take care of it. The meeting is already over so why don’t you let us alone for a while.”(?)

They believed in his words and really left the room. Now that was something unexpected. I was fascinated at how obedient they were.

“Now that everyone is gone let’s introduce again. Don’t worry this room is soundproof.”(?)

I experienced that it was soundproof first hand. We stood face to face and it was silent.

“Ah right I forgot, you prefer if I start right?”(?)

“Well go ahead then.”(Me)

He took off his hood to talk. He was about my age, had brown hair and brown eyes.

“My name is Hiro. Same as you, I am from the race of gods, to be more exactly, god of humans, nice to meet you.”(Hiro)

I had already anticipated that I would somehow meet another god, but never did I predict that it would be this fast. Even more shocking was that he was an underling of a gang.

“Promise me 1 thing though.”(Me)

“Introduce yourself first, then comes the promise.”(Hiro)

Why is everyone so eager to know my name?

“Sigh. Fine. My name is Hikaru and I have the surname demon. You happy now?”(Me)

“It’s fortunate that you are the real deal, otherwise we would have had to fight you. Ah, never mind. What did you want from me?”(Hiro)

He saw that I was puzzled about the situation and then he said never mind. I was even more interested now. Well I was sure that I would get behind it as long as we continued talking.

“Well you wanted to know how we know the name of your deceased partner, right?”(Hiro)

“Depending on your answer, we can get to work together or be enemies.”(Me)

“Was she that important to you?”(Hiro)

“Something like that.”(Me)

“What did Kylie tell you she was doing before meeting you?”(Hiro)

I played the whole discussion in my head and came up with only 1 solution.

“You mean to tell me that she was with you before I appeared?”(Me)

“W… Well, yes something like that.”(Hiro)

He was rather shocked that I guessed right.

“Don’t ever use my words against me again, it gives me Goosebumps.”(Me)

“Haha sorry. But you are correct. Before searching for you, Kylie travelled around the world and searched for the other gods. She eventually found me and Beast and told us about the future. If I am correct you already met Dragon, so the only person missing is Spirit.”(Hiro)

“Heh. Interesting. I never thought I’d someday be part of a plan of others.”(Me)

I was fired up and just eager to know what next step was there in her plan.

“By the way, she didn’t tell you where Beast is right?”(Me)

“No, she didn’t.”(Hiro)

“Obviously she didn’t.”(Me)

“How come it’s obvious?”(Hiro)

“She was called the child of darkness so she had to inherit something from me, no?”(Me)

“You mean loving unnecessary games?”(Hiro)

That hit the mark, but it was rather depressing, so I covered it with a little lie.

“I meant not revealing everything of a plan.”(Me)

“Whatever. Now that I answered your questions, would it be possible for you to cooperate without provoking Philip?”(Hiro)

“No.”(Me)

“Why?”(Hiro)

“It’s way too much fun.”(Me)

“Sigh. Fine.”(Hiro)

“I’ll think about cooperation though. I mean he is such a nice boss. He hates me because I wasn’t able to protect his underling.”(Me)

I succeeded shocking his calm expression again. He knew exactly that I was targeting his boss now.

“Well, you are quite sharp.”(Hiro)

“Then I’ll keep myself short. I came up with a plan myself. As long as you don’t interfere with me, I won’t hinder you. It’s the least I can do after you invited me nicely. By the way, tell your boss, that he is much too friendly and that he should change his interrogation tactics. Farewell and let’s meet again Hiro.”(Me)

I turned around and left Hiro standing here with his mouth open and not knowing what he should do. On my way out, I passed the others and just smiled at them. Philip was still angry at me and if Belios hadn’t held him back, he would have had a fight with me.

I passed the guard and through the streets returned to the edge of the underground city. When I turned around to look back at what they were able to create, my sight stopped at the huge building in the middle. I suddenly remembered something.

“Right I forgot to ask how they were able to create such a mess and how they pressured the beastmen king. Perhaps Kylie helped them somehow?”(Me)

I said to myself and while thinking about how they did it, I left the underground city through the entrance I came from.
