《Life of the dark god》Chapter 13 Dungeon exploring

We both have never been to a dungeon before. Kylie just told me what she knew about it and the rest I got from the dungeon guide I bought.
“A dungeon is in basic terms a cave filled with mana. It is managed with a Dungeon Core and by a Dungeon Master. With enough mana and an intact Dungeon Core it is possible to create your own dungeon. Everything can become a Dungeon Master but it is a rather unwanted job because all you create gets destroyed and your Dungeon would get captured by others. Because managing a Dungeon doesn’t have much gains almost no one of the 5 races manages one.”
I would definitely make my own Dungeon sometime in the future, or at least I would try to create one. I had so many ideas what I could create. It would be really fortunate if I could get the Dungeon Core of this Dungeon.
“Normally a Dungeon would get managed by a Monster and a lot of Dungeons are rather weak and for beginner Adventurers to explore or to train Mages. There are only a few higher ranked Dungeons but most of them were not captured yet. If the difficulty is higher than your guild rank it is recommended not to go into the Dungeon.”
We entered anyways, not that my rank matters to us when it came to fighting. During the last 1 and a half year we did fight all sorts of monsters and difficulties. If I would evaluate myself I would be an average S rank adventurer, probably.
“It is not recommended because the Monsters would get stronger the higher the rank of the Dungeon. Also a Dungeon has a lot of floors and after a few the difficulty goes up even more. If you are distracted for only a second you could lose your life.”

The Dungeon had no name because it had just rose to the surface for a short time and low level Dungeons normally wouldn’t get a name because no one cares for them. The first floor was just like a normal cave and at the end of it was a wooden door which lead into the Dungeon.
We were bulldozing our way through the first 9 floors of the Dungeon. In my [black form] I had no problems defeating all of the Monsters we encountered. So far we have fought against a lot of goblins, orcs, slimes and even some golems. If you don’t know what those are buy the dungeon guide from the adventurer guild because those are basic Dungeon Monsters and I paid 1 Gold Coin for it.
On the 10th floor the terrain changed and we were in some kind of magma zone. I analysed the surroundings and had some really good ideas to how I could experiment with magic later on or how I would build my own dungeon if I get the opportunity.
When Kylie wanted to retreat back so she wouldn’t be in my way of fighting she bumped into an invisible mana wall. She searched everywhere for an exit but all paths were sealed. That was probably to prevent invaders from escaping a boss fight.
Suddenly a huge Snake came out of the Magma. It was really fast. Its target was me. I was confident that I would win with ease because the weakness of fire was obviously water, so as long as I would use water magic it was an easy win.
I didn’t want it to end that easily so I took one of my favourite swords out of the white space and fought it head on for a few minutes. It realised that it was no match for me and out of rage it wanted to attack with some kind of magic but Kylie countered it perfectly with her Zero magic.

I was satisfied with my sparing after a while and beheaded the snake. Shortly after it fell to the ground and didn’t move anymore. When we checked, the barrier was gone so we advanced further through another door. As the guide mentioned the difficulty of monsters got harder the deeper you are in the dungeon. From floor 11 to 29 we were in a really cold area with a lot of mountains. Kylie always wanted me to use fire magic to keep her warm.
I was really in aw because the terrain was so real. It felt like we would be outside. You would never imagine something like that in a Cave. There was always a snowstorm and we encountered some Harpies, snow snakes and much more Monsters. Either Kylie or I were killing them. On the 20th floor the boss monster was a Yeti. Imagine a giant fur ball on 2 legs with some ice magic and strength that’s a Yeti.
The dungeon Guide said that a Yeti was a B rank Monster and really dangerous so we fought it serious and with all we got. Big mistake by the way. Before it could do anything I used a giant [Fireball] and destroyed half of the mountain with it. At the same time I used an [Earth shield] on us, so we didn’t have any injuries. I think I overdid it a bit because afterwards I was so tired that Kylie had to support me while we walked.
“You did a little bit of overkill there you know.”(Kylie)
She told me but I didn’t care as long as I defeated my enemy.
From then onwards to floor 29 all the Monsters ignored us. Probably because they were afraid. I was always in [black form] so I produced a really threatening aura. We finally reached the 30th floor through some kind of portal we found and the terrain changed yet again. This time we were transported to a giant graveyard and a Dark knight awaited us. It’s basically a skeleton with a sword and a shield.
Also the dungeon guide said that a Dark knight was a boss Monster of an A ranked Dungeon.
After it saw it had no chance with its darkness magic, it challenged me to a sword duel and I won. It took quite some time though. I was so tired after it that I just fell asleep on the spot. Kylie stayed awake to carry me away if something dangerous would appear when I slept.
We continued with this routine till the 49th floor. A normal A rank dungeon had about 25 floors, so this dungeon was far above it. From floor 30 to 49 we had an even easier way because all enemies were connected to the Dark element. You can imagine what they could do to me when I was in [black form].
With a lot of rest and preparation we entered the portal to the 50th floor. We were teleported elsewhere and blended by a bright light. When we opened our eyes we could see a huge throne hall and from the throne a loud voice echoed through the whole hall.
“Welcome to my domain invaders. You have reached the end, splendidly done. I am the Dungeon Master of this Dungeon and I challenge you to a life and death fight.”(Dungeon Master)

The Oresteia (Modernized)
All three of the great Greek Tragedians have written plays about the bloody chain of murder and revenge within the royal family of Argos. Yet theirs is in fact not a story of tragedy, but rather one of redemption. As they move from darkness to light, from rage to self-governance, from primitive ritual to civilized institution, their spirit of struggle and regeneration becomes an everlasting song of celebration to be heard throughout the ages. Forming a discourse set against the emergence of Athenian democracy out of a period of chaos and destruction, the Orestian plays are compelling stories of the tensions between our obligations to our families and the laws that bind us together as a society. In the beginning, we witness how a king’s decision to sacrifice his daughter and turn the tide of war inflicts lasting damage on his family, culminating in a terrible act of retribution. In the aftermath of regicide, we behold how a son must set out to avenge his father’s death by committing a most egregious sin. In the end, the sinner is tormented by supernatural powers that can never be appeased, but ultimately finds redemption and ends the curse on his house once and for all. Woven through all of this is the story of a friendship so close that it elevates itself to brotherhood - Where the blood of the covenant is shown to be indeed thicker than the water of the womb. In this very brief twelve-chapter modern rendition of the Orestian plays, I have chosen to place my focus mainly on the lives of the characters Orestes and his best friend Pylades. The chapters, each around 2000-2500 words, are split up evenly between them in first-person narrative. I hope that you will come to enjoy reading this heartwarming story, but more importantly, that you see how the conflicts portrayed in the story, whether human or institutional, are still much very relevant to our societies today. Note on Sources: The details of this story is very loosely based on The Oresteia by Aeschylus. And I mean very loosely. Other sources that I referenced for detail and inspiration are Mythology by Edith Hamilton, Electra by Sophocles, and Iphigenia in Tauris by Euripides. You may also find that I have quoted some of these works, and others (such as Shelley's Ozymondaeus), without citations (average of 1-2 such quotes per chapter). I did this because I do not have the ability to describe certain scenes nearly as well as some of those writers. If you read a particularly beautiful piece of prose here, chances are it's probably stolen lol. Also, I wrote this during the summer between my high school senior year and my college freshmen year. It was the summer of 2020, and being quarantined apparently gets my creative side out lol.

PS. Futanari incoming, do not worry not gonna make it sex novel or erotic, maybe some scenes, but that will come later in the novel or maybe not at all, but to be sure I checked the Sexual Content too.
